Does your skincare routine change for spring?

I haven’t found that I add or remove any type of products by season these days. I definitely haven’t made any moves to adjust my current skincare routine now that we’re officially in spring!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

I don’t just my skin care routine by season. I adjust it based on my skin’s particular needs at any given time. Pay attention to your skin’s needs and you’ll have beautiful skin all year long. ?

The moment it is spring like weather, I start slathering on more sunscreen. The one I have been using this summer is Skin Doctors Supermoist 50+. A really rich moisturiser for dry and mature age skin that sits well under foundation. It doesn’t make my skin oily or greasy either.

My whole routine and products have changed dramatically in the past year and especially in the last month, due to extreme skin dryness I’m sure has to do with a combo of travel and age. I’ve no idea what might happen in the warmer spring/summer at this point.

Until the past few years, our winters were very cold w some days below 0° f. Very dry and windy. Although the weather is not as severe, my skin requires more creamy moisture during those periods and more of a lotion moisture in summer. That is a generality so I adjust my skin care as needed with a year round emphasis on cerimides and hyalronic acid serums.

I usually change my moisturiser and my toner. I always switch to a gel type moisturiser and from a hydrating toner, I switch to a oil control toner, with tea tree. Also, and I know it’s not skincare, but I find that powder (mineral) foundation during the summer months, work very well for me.
