The swatches do not resemble pan colours and I feel the same about the gel liner. I’m interested in this one because I do not have a surfeit of warms in my stash. I would definitely have to see this in action and get a better read on intensity and undertone. Yellow/Oranges are not my strong suit, but can work.. but I see a lot of red in some of the shades too which is great for me. I’m a bit leery of Melt shadows in these cardboard palettes when it comes to performance. I imagine the gel liner is going to be a knockout as the formula generally has great payoff. If anything, maybe I will pick up a few of the Melt liners I have been wanting. Curious about this one for sure.

Kvd, UD, and ABH met for grandes at Starbucks. While the former two were arguing which shades to throw in, ABH chimed in with ‘We gotta have an accent color, like in Sultry. Make it very Melt. I know, a very yellowy mustard…’. I see a lot of Monarch. Liked that one, as most browns go muddy & that did not. I think the photoshopped swatches look best on the ‘dark skinned arm.’ We all know those pix mean nothing. But it looks saturated and hopefully will work well. Yup. Pretty familiar, in that what-goes-around-comes-around manner.

I hate to admit that I already ordered this palette and I’m excited for it to arrive! I really do love Melt’s formula, and I have a very warm undertone so warm neutrals that don’t lean too red-mauve (like Twenty-Seven) are right up my alley. And outside of Sydney Grace mattes, I tend to find Melt’s mattes are long-lasting and extremely pigmented against my skin tone.

My biggest question is why this palette came out so soon after Millennial Pinx. My guess is because of just the general criticism they had with that palette, but I hope they’re not going to go the route of other companies and release a ton of palettes back-to-back. I think we saw enough of that in 2019.

I think they’re planning to move from the stacks to palettes, and since the Rust Stack has been out of stock for so long, it seems this has been planned for a while. Also, being this is being referred to as “Summer 2020”, I’m guessing the launch may have been pushed up due to the current events worldwide…Even the 2 lipsticks included in the bundle are existing shades, and the gel liners are a relatively new product in general, so the shade included with the launch was probably just held back a bit. The situation was similar with Radioactive, when the stack had been out of stock for quite a while before the palette launched, and the stack has been retired. That said, if this is the direction they’re going in, I hope She’s In Parties is the next up for a revamp, as that has also been out of stock for some time…

How similar would you say this is to Colourpop’s Proceed With Caution palette. I don’t own either, and love the formula of both, so if I can save money with CP that’s what I will do… unless I need both ?
