Melt Cosmetics Modern Love Collection Swatches
Melt Cosmetics Modern Love Collection launched last week through the brand directly but arrives at Sephora today. The collection features a new eyeshadow palette, two gel liners, and four glitter glosses.
This looks like a solid collection.. I feel I have the e/s territory covered, but I will be checking dupes.
I very much want both the gel liners, but I might resist. If Prissy were kicked up a few more watts, I would find it irresistible. Boomer looks fabulous!
Wow, I was wondering when a makeup brand would finally release a pink eyeshadow palette. And the name “Millennial Pinx” is so retro…all the way back in time to 2016. Ok, sorry about the sarcasm, but I’m feeling pretty bored by the amount of pink eyeshadows that we have been bombarded with lately. It’s hard to get excited about yet another palette of pinks. Here’s to hoping the next eye palette release will be surprising! (In a good way.)
Hahaha, thanks for being the flippant sarcastic one! This collection is so droll. I’ve been a Melt customer since 2014 which wasn’t THAT long ago yet I feel I’ve been watching them lose their magic already. I think they’ve been hurdling towards cheaper fleeting trends grasping at more Instagram popularity. I really don’t want to see them fail especially since they’re with Sephora now and we know what happened to OCC. ?
Those glosses look terrible. Hard pass.
I like this! Pink and grey is my favorite color combination! Eagerly waiting for your review!
Since pink and gray can actually look very good together, I am intrigued by this palette! The shame is that with this move coming up in March, I don’t think I’ll be ordering anything as I wouldn’t have such an easy time if something accidentally got shipped to the wrong address as I don’t drive.
Might wait till April if it turns out that I really love this.
Hi Nancy,
I am finally on the mend and feel like I have been living under a rock for the past month. Turns out pneumonia and bronchitis. But, I am finally getting a couple of hours of sleep a night and that is helping. Anyway, I missed any information about moving? Where are you off to? Are you moving back to New Jersey? I know it has been a dream of yours but I also knew you wanted to stay close to your children. Hope it is a happy move.
Oh no, Deborah! I’m so sorry that you got so I’ll. Pneumonia is NO joke. Hopefully, you’re almost well again.
As for my move, it’s across town to the other side of the Valley over in the northern part of Glendale to be closer to my kids and a few close friends. I’ve been as nervous as a cat while getting all of this together!
They should have named this collection the “Seinfeld” collection because it’s pretty much about nothing…What is the point of the lip glosses? And the eye shadow palette swatches are mediocre at best, imo.
The palette looks really pretty. I’m covered for pinks, though. The lipglosses are disappointingly sheer.
Oh. Oh my. I feel like I need this. I hope the rating is garbage so I don’t have to buy it because I may get sucked in elsewise. This palette is right up my alley.
The swatches of the eye shadow palette look good. But I’ve seen a couple poor reviews. I’ll wait for your review before purchasing.
Those two dark grey/black shades look very out of place in this soft shaded pink themed palette. Prissy is a beautiful liquid eyeshadow shade.
I agree. i could have appreciated another transition shade or a really rich plum.
The grey does a good job of darkening up Modern Love. I don’t think it’s very dark. Michele Wang has a video of her doing this on her channel.
I’m eyeing those glosses since the glitters in them look unique. I’m curious how As If and Stupid Cupid would look as toppers. I like the combination of pink and greys in this palette
I know my monitor is off but the palette looks a bit more coral to me than pink. I don’t really see the need for both of the darker shades. Overall, I do like the colour story but likely will pass. I don’t think the swatches look all the great but if it turns out they are decent in use, then it is a maybe. I would have to decide between this and the Chanel quads but we will see. I do like the looks of Boomer as a liner and Moonglow as a shadow since it is harder and harder to get the Ellis Faas Antique Silver that I prefer. Anyway, I am waiting on some reviews but leaning towards the Chanel.
Not enough shade variation or depth for my liking, but I have seen some pretty looks with it.
