- Haul/Rediscoveries: It might actually be nothing purchased this week… well, bought and arrived by Friday… is it true? Could it be??
- Weekend plans: I’m getting my hair colored today (Friday), and then I have to pop over to the nursery to get cost estimates on trees for possible front and rear yard remodeling. I’m hoping to swatch through a good amount of lip products on Saturday! Hubby is supposed to install a new computer processor and motherboard for me between now and Sunday.
- Coffee or tea?: I always drink a latte in the morning, but I drink herbal tea (decaffeinated) throughout the day.

Haul/Rediscoveries: **Milani Conceal + Perfect Shine Proof Powder. I am spending some time in a hot, somewhat humid climate and the foundation I brought with me—-PMG Skin Fetish sublime Perfection and CYO Lifeproof, mixed together—- was melting off my face. Years ago in summer I used powder foundation over sunscreen in summer and I decided to try it again. It is working fine and seems to provide more coverage than the liquid, although that may be because I was using a sponge with the liquids. I didn’t bring a foundation brush with me. ** Nyx Stay Matte Not Flat Powder Foundation. I bought this because I couldn’t find the Milani right away. The color was too peach and I returned it.
** e.l.f. Airbrush Blender brush. This is horrible. I feel like I am jabbing wire all over my face. But I need it for the powder foundation so I will use it until I get home. Note to self: an extra brush doesn’t take up all that much room.
Weekend plans: Just chilling out. Brunch and maybe some poolside lounging.
Coffee or tea?: Coffee, without question. It is one of my favorite flavors. I make cold brew throughout the year. A lot of milk but no sugar. I do drink tea from time to time. Only regular black tea or the roasted green tea.
Try putting your powder down first on bare prepped skin with a damp BB sponge. Just in your trouble areas… a trace of powder. Apply your base on top.
Haul: nothing; rediscoveries – the Hourglass Lip Stylo I bought a few years ago – lovely colour and feel but wear time isn’t the best. I do want to use it more often though, since finding it in the bottom of my “extra lipsticks” bag.
Weekend plans: my younger son and his girlfriend are coming home tonight to stay over. They’re leaving for Japan in a few weeks and wanted to visit before they leave. I’m serving them home made soup and bread when they get here and tomorrow, we’ll go out for brunch or lunch after my training session at the gym
Coffee or tea: it used to be tea but for the past few decades, it’s been coffee, coffee, coffee. I drink too much of it (I think if I were to have blood drawn, it’s actually coffee that would come out) but I love coffee and for the past few years, flat whites have been my “drug of choice”.
How lovely to spend time with your younger son and his girlfriend and brunch/lunch would be lovely.
Flat whites are my husband’s preferred coffee fix, whilst mine is a cappuchino.
Using up lipsticks is something I have to do too, maybe this lip stylo could be best worn over another shade to make it all last longer.
Mellan’s face is definitely a mood for a Friday 🙂

My birthday is tomorrow so I have treated myself to quite a few things:
From Beautylish: The ND Love Palette, Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Intense lipstick and lipliner ( I LOVE BOTH), and the Caudalie Moisturizing Toner.
From Sephora: ND Mini Lila palette (apparently into purples lately), Fenty Mascara, Fenty Chocolit gloss bomb, and mini set of the Sephora lip cream stains.
I also plan to visit Ulta at some point this weekend with my mom.
Weekend plans: I am treating myself to a spa day this afternoon when I get off work and my parents are coming for a birthday brunch and shopping. My honey bear came to visit me last night and took me to dinner since he has to work all weekend 🙁
Coffee or tea?: Definitely coffee. Dark roast with a splash of cream!

Haul: Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic Acid & Retinol eye serum from Sephora. At Ulta, I bought: Pür Arch Nemesis 4 in 1 Duel Ended Brow Pencil in Dark, Makeup Revolution Conceal & Hydrate in C7 based on Tarabayz review, another Smashbox Fishnet Always On Eye Pencil, and finally, ColourPop UR A QT Palette, which runs waaay pinker than I was anticipating. It may go back.
Weekend plans: Hair day will have to be today, because tomorrow I hit the ground running looking for an apartment in Glendale! Meeting on Sunday. Hope to get around to doing my nails at some point.
Coffee or tea? XL mug of coffee first thing every morning. I need that just to get my brain working! Some days I will also have a mug of Chai or honey lemon green tea. If I’m out and about and become tired out, I may grab a Starbucks special flavor latte or frappacino on rare occasion. I’m a fan of the Toasted Marshmallow White Chocolate Latte!
Absolutely best wishes in finding an apartment you love in Glendale Nancy. It is always hard to find what you want when you want it. Fingers crossed for you.
Haul/Rediscoveries: No cosmetics purchases, but on my trip to Disney I got a sweatshirt, a beautiful pair of Star Wars ear cuffs, and a Kyber Crystal necklace.
Weekend plans: Laundry, oh, so much laundry.
Coffee or tea?: Coffee normally, but I do enjoy the occasional tea.
Celesta, which Disney did you go to? Did you get to go on the Star Wars ride Rise of the Resistance?
You have survived your trip to Disneyland – how did your little one travel? I bet he loved every bit of it.

Weekend plans: Meetup with out-of-town friends, chores
Coffee or tea: Coffee, but only in the form of cappuccino or Haagen Dasz ice cream.
Cappuccinos are my favourite form of coffee too. And I love coffee ice cream as well. Lucky for me, no-one else in my family does so it is all for me.
Haul/Rediscoveries: Nothing right now, but i’m using my sample of the Bareminerals Barepro liquid foundation, hoping it will replace my current HG: the expensive, not cruelty-free, lancome tient idole. It’s going great so far. The shade match is better already. I just need to further test the wear and finish.
Weekend plans: Getting a new laptop, working a shift, painting, and watching a movie with my BF after I make us pancakes.
Coffee or tea?: Coffee for working, tea for relaxing.

Haul: I haven’t purchased anything beauty wise this week.
Rediscoveries: Nothing specifically, but I got a new ABH eyeshadow primer to replace my old one (I tossed my old one after the 6M mark on the packaging, could clearly tell the quality went down). Still amazing quality, but also… the new tube doesn’t ooze product out like crazy!!! I’m so happy!!! But I did purchased my old one from Macy’s and the new one from Sephora, and it’s not the first time a beauty item purchased from Macy’s is low quality; I’m having big concerns about the way they store make-up before shipping.
Weekend plans: Lazy weekend after a busy week. Although I would really need to have my hair ends trimmed… but I hate wasting time at the hair salon. I might need to schedule an eyebrow appointment still.
Coffee or tea?: I like my coffee black… just like my metal. 😀
I rarely drink tea, and it’s usually herbal, I never got into black or green tea.
Coffee is my favorite warm beverage, I always enjoy it plain. For me it’s almost a sacrilege to taint coffee by adding milk, creamers or sweeteners… or ice.

*Macy’s — UD Naked2 Palette. I didn’t own it yet, and it was $27, so why not?

Weekend plans: I didn’t get the guest post written for my friend’s blog last weekend, so I’ll be doing it this weekend. Other than that, nothing special.
Coffee or tea?: Tea. I don’t like coffee.
Naked 2 is far more versatile than Naked 1 I think. It has some lovely cool toned greys which can work with shades from other palettes for pops of colour. And Half Baked is such a good gold shade. YDK is beautiful. I think you will end up loving this one Rachel. A great buy at $27.
Thanks, Genevieve. I think I’m going to like it. The first Naked has too many really dark shades in it for me, and tends to go muddy. I tried out a friend’s N2 a while back, and it seemed like a much better fit. I just couldn’t justify buying it when I already had some great neutral palettes. I’m getting rid of a bunch of neutral palettes that aren’t the best for me and I don’t need to hang on to, so I figure I could add N2 into the fold while it was on sale.
Haul: The Bay has a Dior gift with purchase event. You get a nice pink bag and some goodies (lipgloss sample, Dior backstage lip maximizer and mascara, primer, makeup remover, Dreamskin, and a sample of the new concealer). Bought the coral highlighter, a refill for my foundation, and a small size Dreamskin to try out. Looked at the new Chanel eyeshadow palettes but they looked too light for my skintone.
Weekend Plans: Not much. Errands, catch up on the DVR, maybe go out.
Coffee or Tea: Both. Usually black or Earl Grey tea. Light roast coffee or some flavored one like Irish Cream.
Well, Mellon’s a happy looking boy! He must be feeling well and back to his healthy self.

Rediscoveries: I have found myself using my Naked 2 for most of the week, adding pops of colour from Bonne Etoile and bareMinerals the Playlist.
Weekend Plans: Everything is pretty quiet here at the moment. With Olivia at school (settling in very well) and Lachlan at kinder (pre-school), it has been fairly quiet around here. I can’t believe it, but the house has stayed clean and tidy for most of the week.
Saturday: Nicholas and Lachlan are coming over to watch some Star Wars and I will go grocery shopping etc.
Sunday: Hopefully a drive to the country side and a Sunday lunch out…..
Coffee or Tea: Both. I start off my day with a cup of tea and then I have a coffee (a cappuchino) and then for the rest of the day I drink decaffinated tea.

Weekend plans: It’s February… stayIng warm. I bought paint (mauve) for my bathroom (beige ?) and I have blinds to hang in my basement.
Coffee or tea?: Both. I’m obsessed with coffee, but it does not seem to agree with my autoimmune and I believe I have an intolerance. I drink tea, regretfully. I treat myself to coffee once a week ?

Haul/Rediscoveries: No purchases this week, I’ve been home most of the time with migraines.
Weekend plans: My doctor was sick today so I couldn’t get my botox shots for my migraines done today. Hopefully he is better by tomorrow otherwise I’ll have to wait until next week. He must be really sick I’ve been seeing him for years and he has never missed a day of work. My husband just got home from a business trip so we will hang out this weekend. He’s always really tired after he gets home so it will be low key.
Coffee or tea?: I always drink a large coffee in the morning, lactose free cream and stevia to sweeten it a bit. You can’t talk to me before my coffee. my brain doesn’t work without caffeine.

Coffee or tea?: I love both! I have auto delivery subscriptions for both and have found the brands and flavors I love. I make tea for weekday mornings but I make myself a cup of coffee when I come home after work and I enjoy a cup or 3 of coffee on weekends.
Haul/Rediscoveries: Nothing purchased this week, but I do have Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Secret Salma and Liv It Up lipsticks in my Sephora cart.
Weekend plans: Worked all day and ran errands yesterday, SVU marathon today, probably watching at least part of the Oscars Sunday.
Coffee or tea?: I guess tea, just going by opportunity-I drink sweet or raspberry iced tea several times a week, but I don’t get that many opportunities to go to Starbucks for the blended coffee drinks I prefer (my favorite’s a caramel macchiato with whole milk). I was able to go last week, and I got and enjoyed a smoked butterscotch latte.
