Spring 2020 Palette Swatches ft. Viseart, NARS, Anastasia
For spring, Viseart Paris Edit ($39.00) just launched, which takes inspiration (and includes a few shades from) their original Paris Nudes palette. NARS Cool Crush ($59.00) is a new, Nordstrom-exclusive eyeshadow palette that launched a week or so ago! Anastasia x Norvina Mini Vol. 3 Palette ($29.00) debuted last week as well.
All are swatched in this post 🙂
Cool Crush looks more like Peach Crush or maybe Tan Crush. Or Warm Crush. I think “Cool” should be reserved for cool toned.
My favorite even shocks me: Nars. It has what appears to be great pigmentation and quality, plus I love the inclusion of teals instead of basic blues.
Love the color story of Viseart Paris Edit, but cannot help but wonder what on Earth happened to Saint Germain. It looks so faded and gray compared to it in Paris Nudes.
ABH x Norvina has a very unique, punchy color story that is both jarring at first, but it’s strangely growing on me!
I have a lot of trouble with the blue/grey in the Viseart palette but the rest is lovely! ? I thought it was just me.
Nancy, I 100% agree with you about the NARS palette! Shocking indeed! It swatched beautifully. Inception is gorgeous.
Before seeing the swatches, I was convinced the Viseart palette would be my favorite.
People who are taken with the Paris edit should do a palette comparison with Paris Nudes to make a decision. The newer one is far more pink. Both beyond decent, though. Somehow, Cool Crush is a misnomer…from the guy who names many non-red shades X Red. Norvina is, well, Norvina. By now we know what to expect and how to proceed.
I really like the color story on the Viseart palette but I’m unsure on the performance of the mattes (and I’m used to Cashmere Theory mattes). I think I’ll wait on the review first. I dislike how cerise and Fleur are so similar in color.
Wow – these are going to keep you busy Christine. All of the three palettes offer a wider range of shades. Like Nancy above, I am liking the Nars Cool Crush palette, especially with the inclusion of the teal shade to make it that bit different.
The Viseart Paris Edit has a softer focus to it and that seems pretty too.
The Norvina palette has mostly strong swatches, apart from a couple of shades, but the red shades do seem a bit similar to each other. The A3 shade is lovely.
I am happy I didn’t buy the Paris Edit before your swatches! Three Dark purples look the same. Tulle, Creme Brûlée and Petale are devastatingly disappointing. What a shame.
Nothing new here? Same colors!
I’m so fed up with ‘cool’ being bandied about for warm palettes.. hmpf!!!!!
I’ve had Paris Nudes in my Muse Beauty cart off/on for two years and can’t seem to pull the trigger. I already have so many Viseart palettes (including the original Grande Pro), yet this version still speaks to me.
Is the Viseart Paris Edit permanent? Your eyeshadow look is very pretty!
That’s what I saw the brand say on their Instagram!
Haven’t rechecked but is the Viseart palette similar to Colourpop’s new launch? color story that is….
Going from simply memory of last night so I could be way off.
It does appear similar to me as well.
Hmm, I really love the Paris Edit but I don’t really wear light light pinks like that. Those purples and coppers are lovely though. Cool Crush looks great!
The basic bish in me loves the Viseart palette. I read a few complaints that it was boring and underwhelming but it looks a good everyday eyeshadow palette that isn’t just browns.
