I’ve never actually used it, but a couple of people on the forums (and elsewhere) have mentioned making your own just using your regular moisturizer and foundation mixed together…it seems to work great, so I’ll probably try it out sometime!

I find alot of TMs aren’t balanced between moisturizer and coverage. I’ve mixed my foundation w/ my regular moistuizer and that gave me nice coverage without using something to moisturize that might break me out… great for people who generally don’t need much colour to even them out!

I haven’t found very many that I would want to bother with on a regular basis. I loved Stila’s illuminating TM but the chemical sunscreen in it gave me an allergic reaction. The only other one I like is CoverGirl smoothers. The shade is actually light and pink enough, and since there’s only physical sunscreen I have no ill effects. The TM was really helpful to me when my acne was realy bad and I wanted to use minerals but needed a tiny bit more coverage. I’d apply TM first then my mmu.

dislikes- not enough coverage, makes me oily, comes in color ranges that dont blend well with my complexion

likes- looks good in the summer when paired with my bronzer.

I always just make my own by mixing my foundation with my moisturiser, I LOVE IT! It’s my current daily routine for this drying Winter weather and I can increase or decrease the amount of foundation for different coverages.

To be honest, I’ve never actually used it. I keep thinking about getting a tinted moisturizer and then I never do.

The reason I’d want one is because:

1. Moisturizer is always good.
2. I don’t usually need a heavy foundation, so just a little bit of color would do a world of good.

I ought to pick some up one of these days.

I actually have Benefit’s You Rebel tinted moisturizer sample from Sephora sitting on my desk right now… I have yet to want to try it.

I live in humid Miami have pretty crappy oily uneven/acne-ish skin so I’m very big on full my Studio Fix Fluid. The only way I can see myself using tinted moisturizer is maybe going to the beach. JUST for the sake of not looking silly wearing full-on foundation.

I want to love tinted moisturizers, but I can’t because they aren’t moisturizing enough for me to skip my regular moisturizer! So I end up using them as a regular foundation, pretty much. It kind of sucks a little bit!

i loooove tinted moisturizers! i like the spf, the fact that i can skip a step, and that they look naturally pretty and never cakey like foundation can when people overdo it.
