Today I’m using my brand new Huda Light Nude Obsessions palette. So far, I’ve only used the matte shades, and found that they are nicely pigmented and blend beautifully. I should note that I applied them over eyeshadow primer, which I always use under powder shadows. The shades in this palette lean pink and peach, yet they still work well as neutrals on my light, neutral skin tone. I have a feeling that this pretty little palette will be accompanying me on my next vacation.
I have this lil palette too and feel the same way! I’m definitely taking it on my upcoming two-week trip abroad.
On the other hand, I’m a warm-toned medium and the shades work beautifully on me as well! It’s got range 🙂
I opted for the Rich Obsessions and I’m so happy with it. These are lovely little palettes.
Yes, I used this one too today. Beautiful easy look with the mattes and a shimmer in center of my eyelid. I think it will be my choice when I’m in a hurry. So easy and nice.
I used the Colourpop x KathleenLights So Jaded palette this morning! I really love the selection of colors in this palette; I’ve always been a fan of jewel tones and the idea of gemstones in general, so it’s something I’m glad I picked up. The shadows are incredibly high quality. The only downfall is the two pressed glitters; I haven’t been brave enough to dip into those, but I might put some in my hair for the holidays. Whenever I use this palette, I’m very happy with my look.
The Tarteist PRO Remix palette. I was traveling and I love the big mirror, so I usually use it to do most of my makeup! I also have been just doing a browbone highlight and pop of color on my inner eye for daytime eye looks lately. The PRO Remix palette has a great base shade, a couple of highlight options for my warm, fair skin, and a ton of fun colors to mix and match. For more detailed looks, I usually need to mix it with another palette. It’s great for my simple look though!
I used the UD Naked Palette to dupe the CT Victoria Secret Model look. What else can be said about this uber-classic pallet? It behaves, it is kind, it is easy to use and I love the shimmers.
I almost have it finished. If anyone has good recommendations as a replacement I am all ears.
It’s heart-breaking that UD discontinued it. It used to be my go to travel palette because it was both great and replaceable. Now, it stays home but I despair at the thought of finishing it. While it’s not entirely a dupe, I’ve been using Smashbox’s Minimalist palette for travel and it’s quite similar.
Tried Topaze on my friends’ hair for Halloween, it looked super nice and not crazy crazy. Try it when you can !
Dose of Colors Friendcation which I’ve had since it came out but never got around to using it; I was put off by the glitters. I finally got around to it and it is very nice: the mattes are pigmented and blend easily, the glitters had minimal fall out (I used my finger to apply), and it lasted all day. It’s more of an everyday neutral palette than I thought, although I’m sure it could be glammed up for night time.
I used the Lunar Beauty Moon Spell palette today. I received it recently and have been dying to use it more. I love the mattes and the shimmers and think the color story is really cohesive with a lot of mini color schemes built into it. The shadows are also a great formula, although the glitters work best with glitter glue and/or finger application
Today, I’m wearing the Viseart Dark Edit that I picked up in the Sephora sale. I tried it last night and created the same look today. I love how easily the mattes blend and the dark blue matte is amazing, which seems to be hard to find! One of my fave things about Viseart shadows is how long they stick around on my oily lids, and I appreciate that if you’re careful, you can build them up to be really stunning. As usual, I created a purple look with the blue on the outer corner. I feel so fall today!

First time using the tati beauty palette today. So far have only used a couple of shadows, mostly mattes and so far super impressed on blendability. I also used the soothe sequin shade and think it’s great for a subtle pop for a daytime work look. ( I work in a fairly conservative office.)
I just got my Jeffree x Shane Conspiracy palette and honestly I’ve been loving it. It’s the first eyeshadow palette I’ve tried from Jeffree Star Cosmetics. I’ve been in a makeup rut just doing the same single eyeshadow looks for a while, so it’s been so inspiring to use colour again. 🙂
Last eyeshadow “palette” I used was the Noir Supreme quad. Loving it. Dark smoky shadows. Easy to apply. No fallout. Perfect for Fall. My first Chanel eyeshadow experience!
I used the Tati Beauty palette today. It’s the only one I’ve been using this week. The main problem with the palette is that the glitters are so beautiful I want to wear them every day… which isn’t really office appropriate. They do stick around fairly well without glitter glue, which is surprising. Also, the metallic shades are nice, but more shimmer than metallic. I do recommend it for those of us who like glitter.
Pat McGrath Subversive Mothership III – yesterday I wore several shades from this stunner and was blown away by the gorgeous plummy purple eye look I got using these shades. Namely, Deep Shade to deepen up the crease after using ABH Buen Fresco as my transition, Night Creature on outer half of lid swept upwards melding with Deep Shade in my deep crease, then Skinshow Fever in tearducts, followed up with applying VR Pink to inner lid slightly over mid lid to blend that with Night Creature. Lasted all day through my appointment that afternoon and running errands. ?

I find myself using and packing the UDxKristin Leanne palette all the time (neutrals, not kaleidoscope). It has a perfect mix of warm browns and a pop of orange/salmon. It’s a mere 5 colors; it fits into a small purse; it has a small brush with a compartment for same.
I wish more brands made simple palettes like this, for all skin tones – palettes that are small and portable and contain a decent double-ended brush.
So funny because I reach for this one all of the time too. I usually use it with a teal or green liner. It is a great neutral. I wasn’t very excited when I first got it but I use it more than anything I own.
I used the ColourPop Brown Sugar palette today. It’s just neutrals but I really like the sort of earthy, muted tones.
Huda Warm Brown Obsessions. It’s been my quick look palette for daily use. I want the mini Nude in Light so badly.
I used the Natasha Danona mini Lila palette this morning and I’m surprised how often I reach for it for a quick and easy neutral look. I use Flint (nude sand matte) in the crease and sweep the lid with Linen (nude champagne metallic) before adding a little brown liquid liner and mascara for a quick and easy work ready daytime look. I love how the matte shade (Flint) blends and how easily it applies. I can literally just touch my brush to it to pick up enough color for my crease. I apply the metallic shade (Linen) with my finger and it creates a nice shiny glow that my lashes pop against.
The purple shades in this palette are super pigmented and apply and wear well, but I haven’t used them as much as I’ve been doing mostly neutral eye looks with bolder blush and lipstick.
I would strongly recommend this palette to anyone looking for a quick and easy neutral look or someone who loves to play with the color purple. As of now it is still on sale for a mind blowing $12.50 at Sephora. It is such a steal at that price that I am planning to pick up a back up and a few extras for stocking stuffers.
(PS- if anyone has any cute looks including the purple/violet shades they would like to share I would love to see them)
I actually used two palettes to make the last eye look I wore and those were Marc Jacobs Steel-etto and Give Me Glow Cosmetic’s Vintage Rose palette. I am really enjoying both. The Steel-etto palette is pigmented, wears well over 10 hours for me and includes shades that I can use alone as a one and done look, a nearly full look without pulling in another palette and a nice pairing palette. To use the palette without using other palettes I would have to use a very shimmery shade for the brow bone so I usually pull in another shade. The shadows themselves are very pigmented, blend nicely and are overall, more cool toned than many palettes.
The Vintage Rose palette is just my perfect palette as every shade in the palette is usable for me. The mattes are a little powdery but since they are so pigmented, I only have to be careful about the amount I pick up or really tap it off before going to the eye, My only criticism is that I wish there was an additional, slightly lighter, green shade.
Charlotte Tilbury starry eyes. I love this pallet. It doesn’t have fall out. I don’t have to clean under my eyes after applying it. That alone makes it a winner to me. The colors are beautiful, blend nice, aren’t patchy. I’m able to make several looks with it too. My one complaint is that I would like a lighter matte brown included.
UD’s Born to Run palette. I’ve had it practically since it launched and while I like it, I don’t use it as much as I should. I’ve used it for the past 2 days and plan to use it for a few days more. I even made a quite simple but “suits me” eye story so I’d remember what shadows I’ve used and liked. With 21 shadows, it’s pretty versatile and has a range of shades, a few of which are out of my comfort zone but which I’ve used with success, though I really cannot ever see myself using Hell Ride, Baja or Wildheart, but the assortment of shades from cool to warm and neutral to more daring makes it interesting to use.
Today I used my old Vice 2 – as it is ‘back to winter’ here at the moment, I wanted a neutral look. I love the gold shade – very soft looking, and Ambush – one of the best ‘brown’ shades around, with a hint of Stash, the olive shade as well. The palette does lack a good pewter shade (instead of all the blacks and pinks), but otherwise it is quite versatile.
Vice 2 is classic! I have a soft spot for that palette as well. I was so thrilled to get it all those years ago, and the quality holds up.
Huda Beauty Ruby Obsessions Palette. Note: I always use primer with all eyeshadows. I really love Ruby. The colors are vibrant, and the shadows blend really nicely. The shimmers are gorgeous and go on nicely with a synthetic brush or fingertip. I think the range of shades and finishes is pretty perfect and makes it a surprisingly versatile palette.

Tom Ford “Suspicion “quad .It’s a golden , gilded version of Nude Dip .except I think it’s a little more pigmented , not quite as sheer as “ Nude Dip” .
I love it for a quick eye look.
The Viseart Grande Pro 3 arrived from the Sephora sale this afternoon. I was six hours into wearing a very simple and yes, cool toned look from ND Metropolis, just using the deep turquoise shade in the outer corner and crease and the pale pink on the lid. But I had to wear the GP3 immediately so I began to layer some of the teal, greens, and yellows on top of that. Not sure I would have the nerve to wear that experiment outside, but the colors are gorgeous and they actually mix and blend exactly like as if you were painting so that you are creating your own shades. The two green rows were the reason I got it, and although I do have greens from other brands, these were so beautiful and blended well. The yellow row was a big surprise because I did not realize how wearable the various yellow tones would be. I have not yet touched either the blue, red, or orange rows– still to be explored.
I’ve worn the ND mini Gold palette all week. I love greens and gold and really had nothing like that in my palette collection. It blends beautifully and everything is so cohesive. I find myself overwhelmed with big palettes so this one was right up my alley. The only thing it’s missing for me is a brow highlight color–so that’s when my myriad of neutral palettes comes in handy. This is my first ND purchase and won’t be my last.
Pat McGrath’s Mothership VI: Midnight Sun! It’s everything I could want from Pat. I prefer these mattes to the ones in Mothership V so feel more able to fully enjoy them. The glitter “special” shades have less fallout than the ones in Mothership V as well, so I feel there’s actually been some improvement. Absolutely loving playing with this one, I’m glad I bit the bullet and picked it up. And I think it makes a great companion to Mothership V!
