Weekend Plans: A long to do list that includes attending a graduation gathering for two girls in our building and getting ready for my trip home to Canada.
Looking forward to: visiting with my mom, mother-in-law, and friends; going to a concert with my twin sister; and uniting with my Chanel Cruise collection pieces and Les Beiges 9-pan palette that I pre-ordered and had family pick up for me.
I am hoping to pick up the ND Bronze and Glow Palette in July. Do you like it?
I bet you are so excited about those Chanel items. Chanel has really stepped up their game this year. I really want the eyeshadow quad in the Cruise collection and would be thrilled to get the darker Bronze Lumiere duo and maybe one of the contour eyeshadow sticks. I am so excited to hear how you like your new goodies! Please report back after you’ve had a chance to play.
I have a twin sister too Tracey – but we are not identical and have completely different personalities and colourings. Are you an identical twin?
It must be wonderful to go back and see all of your family, a really special time for you.
And I love the Les Beiges palette, so, so stunning.
Haul: Received my order from Colourpop: Peony for Your Thoughts Stix cheek set, and Ariel and Cinderella Lux Lipsticks. Also, a friend gave me trial sizes of Cover FX Custom Enhancer Moonlight Drops, Too Faced Shadow Insurance, and ABH Dip Brow. Finally, Ulta was having a NYX brand-wide Buy-One-Get-One-Half-Off sale, so I stocked up on the Waterproof Eyeshadow Primer (I’m good for a VERY long time now). They only had three in stock, so I also picked up a Butter Gloss in Angel Food Cake for $2.50.
Rediscoveries: Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Lip Gloss. I haven’t worn it in months. Love the tingle!
Weekend plans: Father’s Day lunch, laundry, reading, catching up on “The Spanish Princess” and “Fear the Walking Dead.”
Something you’re looking forward to: All I can think of right now is relaxing. But first I have to figure out how to do 4,000 more steps before bedtime!
Looking forward to see how readers like the ColourPop Stix!
Hi-Fi Shine is a really underrated formula, IMO!
Happy Father’s Day to your family Seraphine.
Haul: Still nothing required to be purchased, but I think in a few weeks I’ll be getting low on everything, so many purchases would be required.
Rediscoveries: Nothing on this front as well.
Weekend plans: I hope to have a Saturday at the beach (not actually sun bathing, but exploring and trailing the wild beaches along California coast) and a Sunday of exploring some museums. And off course the regular grocery shopping and meal prep.
Something you’re looking forward to?: Solving my paper work so I can visit my family back in Europe this fall!
Sounds like a perfect weekend to me Ana Maria, walking along the beach and visiting museums. Have a lovely time.
SQUEEE! He gets me every time with his sweet puppy dog eyes! ?
Haul: This has been an interesting week…a MAJOR dress haul, for one thing! 2 are going back to Nordstrom Rack. One didn’t fit the upper deck, and I’m bringing both LBD’s to the store to try on and ask their alterations folks which dress would be easier and less expensive to get the upper part fixed. I have small shoulders, but I’m a bit busy, so there are always strange gaps in sleeveless dresses with my odd body type. Oh! I also bought a GORGEOUS lime green Halogen top, and now I know why you love them, too!
For beauty? Yesterday, I picked up Milk PTO Long Wear Gel Liner and Maison Margiela Replica in Beach Walk. The fragrance SA also made me a very generous sample of Tom Ford’s Eau de Soleil Blanc. Put some on this morning, and WOW, I’m being transported to the beach! Next Sephora Rouge sale, it will be mine, I think.
Weekend plans: Bring dresses to Nordies. Do root touch up…there is over an inch of growth. Wish I could rock my salt & pepper hair, but I don’t think so yet.
Something you are looking forward to: Near future? The International Convention at Chase Field in August! Possibly a short trip back to NJ in July… we’ll see. I’m in need of a TRUSTWORTHY cat sitter, someone to just come feed them and spend a half hour with them so they don’t feel abandoned. Also….that that horrible tenant stays away. She and I had a major confrontation on Tuesday night because her toothless cat wound up escaping from her (can we blame him, though?) and was over here. Another neighbor and I tried to get him in out of the heat, but he wouldn’t let us. She showed up late that night, but I didn’t see her. I was calling for Max to bring him in for the night when suddenly I heard her voice calling me EVERY foul name in the book. Well, she released the Kraken! My old Jersey side came out full-throttle. Which made me so mad with myself for letting her get under my skin like that. Anywho, now there’s an anti-trespassing something or other with the Scottsdale PD. They will arrest her if she ever comes back.
Long range? I have decided to move near Kyle and Sabrina for one year, then I will very likely move to NJ. Too many people I miss back there. And the greeness and beach. Seasons, too. Kyle has indicated that he also is thinking about moving there too. His girlfriend likes the idea, which is cool! She currently lives in the Bay Area in California. But she loves the idea of having seasons.
Nancy I don’t envy you having to deal with a crazy neighbor! Hope she goes away soon! Try not to let her get under your skin but at the same time watch your back girl! I’m the same with my roots needing a touch up bad, not ready for the gray to go uncovered yet.
Oh, I’m trying, Denise! Mainly because of the fact that if I lose my self-control, it would cost me everything. That chic ain’t worth my air ti breathe! Much less, God’s favor. As I type this, my deep brown dye is in my roots (yay me!). It has been 6 whole weeks, LOL.
Oh my gosh, Nancy, I went to Nordstrom Rack on Saturday and it was amazing. My husband and I agreed that if I had regular access to Nordstrom Rack, we would be in financial trouble. I limited myself to one pair of shoes, one sweater and one pair of earrings, but that was because I went to the Rack AFTER I went to The Loft, Marshall’s, Nordstrom and The Buckle. Had I gone to the Rack first, I may not have been able to go to any other stores, lol.
I bought two Halogen shirts at the regular Nordstrom. It is a great brand. And lime green? I look great in lime green and we have similar coloring so I bet that shirt looks good on you.
I checked out several Tom Ford fragrances during our three days in Chicago: Lavender Extreme, F’ing Fabulous, Lost Cherry, Noir de Noir, and Champaca Absolute. I wore them all and didn’t love any of them. I absolutely love Soleil Blanc, I bet I would love Eau de Soleil Blanc. I will have to order a sample for the summer.
I wish we were near each other, I would totally cat sit for you. I would be the best cat sitter ever?
Aww! That’s so sweet of you to offer,Tammy! I know you would take great care of my little old cats. Scunci is getting so old now, that I’m terrified of leaving him home for two weeks. I think you would fall in love with him! My other kitty probably wouldn’t even come out except afterwards…she’s 12 and super skittish!
Yep, Nordies Rack gets me every time! Ross used to, but lately they have some fairly cheesy offerings compared to only a few years ago. Not sure what happened to them. Soooo, I did get over there yesterday. That location doesn’t do alterations, but she told which ones do. Said that it may run cheaper at a Mom & Pop. Here’s the problem: dresses that fit my chest on down never fit my tiny back and slender bone frame in my shoulders. I’m deformed looking whenever I’m above 155 lbs. because I’m curvy as heck, but no stinking shoulders and upper back width to fill out the arm holes and back neck area. Crazy body!
You WOULD love this Halogen split back sleeveless top, and it sure would be beautiful on you, too! Now I’m also wanting it in the hot coral-pink shade, too.
I’m glad you were able to come to a decision about moving. Sorry the bat$hit neighbor was bothering you. Hopefully, there won’t be a next time, but at least the cops will have to arrest her if there is.
Rachel, it was totally crazy! When I was calling Max in order to get him into my air conditioned space overnight, I didn’t even see her. She was on that other neighbor’s private patio! Which still has me smdh at how he could forgive her calling him the N-word. I couldn’t. And cannot. She shouted at me: “Mind your own f*cking business, you f*cking c*nt b*tch!” ….this led to a near physical altercation. I was STEAMING mad! Next time, I will just dial 911 instead of raising my blood pressure.
OMG, that’s terrible! I can’t blame you for losing it with her. I’m glad it didn’t get physical. You don’t need that kind of stress. As you said, just call 911 next time.
How absolutely scary for you Nancy, I am fearful of her and I live thousands of k’s away from you!
Yes, I would just dial the police if you see her again….it’s not worth it and people like her always manage to twist the truth around and say you started it all…
My comiserations about your clothes, I quite understand where you are coming from. I often need to get my clothes altered to fit me properly across the shoulders and arms, because they are just too big. It makes it kinda expensive.
It would be lovely if both Kyle and Sabrina decide to move back to the NJ area with you, a fresh start for everyone and the seasonal aspect would be heaven after putting up with the heat for so long.
Haul/rediscoveries:
Smith & Cult:
Tang Bang, Kundalini Hustle, Analog Fog, Suburban Warrior and Powder Posse nail polish – I’m new to the brand but have heard/read good things and have a lip gloss that came in a Beautylish lucky bag one year and loved it. I love the brand packaging. I have also heard good things about their foundation and was all set to try but am holding off because I want to try Pat McGrath’s first and don’t want to have too many foundations lest they spoil from not using up in time. I just picked up a few from the Sephora sale and am am almost done working my way through a few others.
Weekend plans: The usual chores on Saturday and spending the day with my family on Father’s Day.
Something to look forward to?: Seeing my dad on Sunday. He’s getting on in years and I am trying to see him as much as I can.
Melan, I can’t get over how stinking cute you are and how expressive your eyes are. I have to tell you that when I first glanced at the picture I saw the purple/red colour of that yarn or string and I thought it was your mommies hair and that she was laying down next to you on the bed!!
Haul: I purchased the Viseart Coy palette using a points gift card but it hasn’t arrived yet. Somehow it shows that it was delivered but it never was and I have been home everyday, all day since it was ordered. So, I am working with Sephora to get my palette. Having said that, I also am thinking about the Editorial palette both because Tammy says they work well together and I saw Christine’s look using the palette and now I want it too. I am going to have to decide between that and the new Melt palette but have to wait on reviews for Melt. I also picked up two things from MAC, the throwback lipstick in Marrakesh and another Stone eye shadow just in case it is discontinued. I have been told by two different SA’s at a MAC counter that it is being discontinued but I am still finding it on their website. I also picked up the Laura Mercier Eye Shadow pencil in Cobblestone. Looks like a nice neutral taupe and I thought it would work well for a one and done look. I am holding off on purchasing anything else until I go to Seattle in July. I want to check out the La Mer cushion foundation and that will set me back a pretty penny so saving my money.
Weekend plans: I am leaving for Boise, Idaho in about a weeks time to visit my sister so I am getting things organized here and doing some packing. I cannot take my furbaby with me since my sister is allergic to cats and also, I am taking my mother and she is bringing her dog so that wouldn’t be a good mix in the car together. I am going to be gone just under a week and following our last time leaving Sophie alone, I don’t want to run the risk of her being traumatized again. So, my daughter is going to take three days off of work and come down to be with her and then my brother will fill in on the days she cannot be here. The most Sophie will go by herself is 24 hours. Unbeknownst to my mother, while she is gone my brother and nephew are cleaning her house. For once, I am not going to be the bad guy unless she decides to blame me for taking her to see her daughter, LOL! Frankly, I am so excited that her house is going to be cleaned and although I am sure they won’t do as good a job as I would, anything is going to be an improvement. I think I put the fear of God into my brother because he normally just tolerates my cleaning of mom’s house and tries to stay out of it but I told him it was lucky he didn’t have cockroaches since their places are adjoining. I think the idea of roaches put a fire under his behind and now he is gung-ho to get it cleaned!! Anytime I don’t have to fight with my hoarding mother over her house is a good thing. She is going to be really upset when she get home, though.
Looking forward to: Right now the biggest thing I am looking forward to is the above mentioned cleaning of my mother’s house. I am also past excited to be going to see Queen with Adam Lambert in July in Seattle. My third thing would be going huckleberry picking. The berries should be ripe about the time I get home from Seattle so I am planning a day in the high forest to go picking. I have been without fresh/frozen berries since before last season as we had a week long power outage and I lost everything in my freezer. I didn’t get to go picking last year as I was gone during the prime picking season. This year, nothing is keeping me from the berry patches. For those that don’t know, huckleberries are similar to blueberries except with a bigger flavor. They are like blueberries on steroids and usually you either love them or you hate them. They are a little tarter tasting than a blueberry. They only grow on north slopes where there is sufficient snow so pretty high up in the mountains. They like to grow in “clear cuts” which is where the loggers have logged off all the trees. The berries will thrive in those areas until the trees grow back and block out their natural light. Every year in mid to late July we pack a picnic lunch, climb in my dad’s old truck, which he left to my brother and I am still upset about that, LOL, and then we head up the mountain. I prefer to ride in the back end of the truck and it is just a great day climbing the mountain side and picking berries. We usually end up going all the way to the top of the mountain where there is a fire look-out station. The station is called Sex Peak and was named that because every summer back in the day, the forestry service would man these stations and two people would stay for 2 weeks and then rotate out. They would search the surrounding mountains with binoculars for any sign of fire. Well, local young ladies would go up and keep them “company” and it started being called Sex Peak. They aren’t manned anymore but the forestry service keeps them maintained. You can actually rent them out for over night and it is rather cool being so high up and without any light the stars look like you can reach out and touch them. There is a guest book and everyone who visits leaves messages. It is rather cool. Anyway, I am looking forward to getting some fresh berries this year.
I am so glad you will be investing in a palette with bright Mattes to compliment Coy. The new Melt palette looks quite nice and I’m sure would go well with Coy.
It’s good someone else is taking on the house cleanup responsibility. This sounds like an overwhelming situation and you need support.
Huckleberries! I order Huckleberry jam from Nuts.com. I used to go dewberry collecting with my step sister and we made THE BEST jam and pie with those berries!
I wish you would visit me after the first freeze in fall. That’s when the huckleberries on our property are at their sweetest. We’ve got quite a few wild bushes and tbh, getting rid of the stems is a bit of a hassle so we rarely harvest them. (I know, we should…) You would be most welcome to harvest some of ours.
Hi Kitty, where do you live? Are you high in the mountains? We have tried cultivating huckleberries at our elevation and no one has been able to do it around here. I live in what is fondly called, The Huckleberry Capitol” of the world. We have a huckleberry festival every year in August and it is very much a small town celebration. The parade is the local fire department, some horses and a couple of small elementary school floats! It is all in good fun. Huckleberry picking is big business around here and unfortunately it has brought out some negative behavior. Most of the berries grow on forestry land which is not owned by any individual and is open to the public but some professional pickers will guard their favorite patches with guns and dogs. You have to be careful. It reminds me a bit of the pot growers in Mendocino , California. You never knew when you were out walking and hiking in the mountains whether you might accidentally wander into a pot patch and end up facing a shotgun!! Anyway, I am in western Montana near the Idaho state line.
I hope you enjoy your trip to Boise with your mum, although I think it’s going to be hard work.. Best wishes to your brother for cleaning out your mum’s stash. Not only would he have to worry about cockroaches, but also hoarding is such a fire hazard too.
Thank you for your well wishes. I do think the trip is going to be difficult but my mom won’t get to see my sister this year if I don’t take her. My sister is such a loving and wonderful person but she has made some bad choices in her life and now she will be forced to work until the day she passes. And the work she does is not easy for someone our age. She is on her feet for 10 hours a day. What little vacation time she had accrued went to see her younger son and his family as they are headed into the missionary field in Southern Africa. They will not return for at least 5 years.
I know the fire hazard is great, not just from the shear amount of stuff sitting around but she is constantly piling garbage, bags, etc in front and on the furnace. My brother has told her repeatedly that she is going to start the place on fire but it doesn’t register. I am just thankful that he is tackling it and not me! I was really hoping to go makeup shopping while I was in the area but unless my sister knows of a good place, I doubt she will, I only find a small Sephora in JC Penney’s and no Nordstrom or other high end store. I am hoping there will be somewhere but worse case scenario i wait until I head to Seattle in July. It isn’t that far away and I know that Nordstrom’s in downtown Seattle has a large makeup and beauty area with all the premium brands in store. It is such a novelty for me to be able to see testers from Tom Ford, Charlotte Tilbury, Chanel, Dior, Jo Malone, the list is endless. I am like a kid in the candy store!
Hope you had nice weekend and that you have a wonderful week.
Haul:
Dior Wild Earth collection: I truly tried to resist this collection but ended up buying the two eyeshadow palettes (Sienna and Terra), both double-ended eyeliners (blue/black and gold/brown), and the darker bronzer. I am very happy with all these products. I find myself dipping into one of the eyeshadow palettes almost daily to add to whatever eye look I’m doing. The eyeshadows are the same formula Dior used for their two Backstage Face Glow Palettes, which I absolutely love. I am so impressed with all the pieces I’ve bought from this collection, I am interested in purchasing one of the Mineral Nude Glow Brightening and Correcting Powders.
Dior released two LE blushes this season. I had to have Diorskin Nude Luminizer Blush in Coral Pop. It’s gorgeous!!
More Dior: I’m not sure if I mentioned the Dior Backstage Face Glow Palette 002 last week. The first one (001) is one of my favorite highlighting palettes of all time so I was stalking Sephora for this one. It is utterly lovely.
Pat McGrath Eye Dolls in Corrupt Copper. I saw an Instagram video on PM’s site featuring this shade and immediately ordered it. This was one of the shades only available through Pat McGrath. Such a pretty copper! I pair it with the unique golds in the two new Dior Wild Earth palettes, a white shimmer for inner tear duct and brow bone highlight, Chanel’s red-hued eyeliner (Eros) and Chanel’s burgundy mascara (Deep Eros). Photos do not do these colors justice, but I took a picture of this Eye look and posted it on Instagram anyway.
Dior Stellar Shine lipsticks in Diorcharm and Positivity. So Diorcharm was sent to me as a sample when I ordered the Terra eyeshadow palette directly from Dior. It was so freaking pretty. I knew I would order it but was worried the actual product wouldn’t be as pigmented as the sample. No need to worry, it’s the same lovely pop of coral. I tried on Positvity at the Dior counter in Chicago last weekend and decided to purchase it too. I am falling in love with all these buttery, shiny lipsticks. First it was Chanel Coco Flash, now Dior. I plan to purchase more shades of both formulas in the future.
Chanel: Chanel is where I got impulsive on my Chiacago trip. I saw the Deep Eros mascara and Eros eyeliner on display as accompaniments to the Blurry Mauve Quad. I bought them on impulse and I AM SO GLAD I DID. I’ve been wearing both all week and I love them. I set down the eyeliner with Phlox (a shimmery red eyeshadow) from Natasha Denona’s Sunrise palette and it is STUNNING.
Speaking of the Sunrise palette, I absolutely love it! I cannot get over how good these shadows are or how much I like this color story. Sunset never tempted me, it’s a bit too brown and gold. But Sunrise is fresh and bright by comparison, with its brighter yellows, pinks, and reds. Like the Dior palettes mentioned above, I dip into Sunrise everyday for at least one color. Morgan is a perfect transition shade for my skintone and preference for fresher colors.
Weekend: I will have to comment later on this and things I’m looking forward to
Weekend plans: Doing my own thing and enjoying my husband’s company. I am really starting to warm up to this empty nesting situation. The grief is gone and the joy is big. We even called off Father’s Day so we can just be at home doing whatever we want. We waited 30 years to have our weekends free and it’s really, really nice.
Something I’m looking forward to: I will keep this appropriate and say more weekends with my husband??????!!!
It is lovely to have your weekends to yourself and do whatever you feel like doing. Not as much cooking, cleaning and laundry…….
Have a lovely weekend playing with your new treats. They sound beautiful.
Haul/Rediscoveries: Fenty Sun Stalk’r bronzer in I$land Ting and the mini combo of Sun Stalk’r in Shady Biz and Match Stix in Sinamon. I finally accepted that the ABH bronzer I was using was too orange. I also picked up No7 Match Made Custom Blend Foundation Drops.
Weekend Plans: The usual farmer’s market trip and a lot of lounging about.
Something I am looking forward to: a road trip with some girlfriends in the Southwest, but that won’t happen until the fall. I can leave my husband at home to take care of the cats.
Haul: at Marshall’s I found some nice goodies – a Shiseido Shimmering Cream eyeshadow in the shade Fog, a Real Techniques concealer brush (I like it a lot and I’ll keep it in my travel bag, I think) and for a friend who’s been looking for it, the Too Faced Sweetie Pie Radiant Matte Bronzer for $12.99. She’d been looking for it at Winners stores with no luck so when I saw it, I grabbed it. I also bought 2 nice scarves – I wear them a lot so when I see some nice ones, I like to get them at a discount.
Weekend plans: first the gym tomorrow, then a friend is coming to stay and so we’ll be going fabric shopping and then my husband and I will be taking her out to dinner and then to brunch on Sunday. After friend departs on Sunday, we really need to get out to our backyard and pull some goldenrod that had started to grow.
What I’m looking forward to: the end of the school year and luscious summer relaxing ahead and a get-away next week to Ottawa and then planning our trip to Denmark for our anniversary next spring. I’m also very much looking forward to getting to know my younger son’s girlfriend better.
Oh, I also found some hair stuff at Marshall’s – a shimmer spray and an anti-frizz type conditioner from Frederic Fekkai. A while back, I got some Fekkai shampoos and conditioners at Shoppers Drug Mart marked down to $2.99 each and I was kicking myself for not buying more of them. Even with Marshall’s discounted prices, I paid considerably more than $2.99 but still less than regular price.
That sounds like a lovely weekend Mariella. I hope the weather stays warm enough for some gardening, which is always a bit dire after winter. I’d be looking forward to a trip to Denmark too….
No haul, but I have two sweet kid stories. I gave a girl the Tarte Sugar Rush neutral palette in the watermelon slice design and the Sephora watermelon brushes for her tenth. ‘This is the most awesome day of my life so far! My first bra and my first palette! On the same day! I got hysterical laughing. Hope she likes all the LE Polar seltzer minis and the Target ‘toy’ chest (bra chest?) as well. I was walking Jussi (black and tan dachshund) and Patticake (red and white dapple/piebald dachshund/ the one with the neurosurgery) and along came a little boy, post-toddler, probably three, still sweet, no Y swagger yet, holding his mum’s hand. He broke away from her, running towards the dogs. ‘Oh, My God! Look, Ma, it’s hot dog and roast beef!’ Apparently, his self invented game is We Name Dogs. Just precious. Have a great weekend, all.
We Name Dogs sounds like the best game.
Awesome kid stories! That watermelon palette looks perfect for a young girl. And who wouldn’t want a blush called “Slice Slice Baby?”
Christine, I couldn’t resist that sweet puppy face neither!
Haul/Rediscoveries: nothing, there’s a Rouge event on Wednesday night so there will be coin spent then.
Weekend plans: My husband is still away and I have been working in the garden and cleaning the basement so I will keep working on both. On Sunday I am going to my Son’s for dinner to meet his girlfriend’s family members for the first time.
Something you’re looking forward to?: I ordered some Salve made with CBD and the reviews were really good, I’m hoping it will help with my migraines. This time of year is challenging, we get quite a few thunderstorms and it brings on severe migraines for me. They have changed the botox protocol from 3 months to 10 weeks so I will be getting my botox on Saturday, so with the combination of both maybe I can be more productive!
A very pensive looking Mellon, so cute and adorable.
Haul/Rediscoveries: I had picked up Anastasia’s Brow Whizz awhile ago and decided to give it a go, as my inexpensive brow pencil had run out. It’s a lovely light taupe shade, but it’s one of those wind up thin pencils which I am not that fond of. It’s good, but I don’t think it is worth the price.
Weekend Plans
On Saturday evening I am going to a Trivia Night, a fundraising event, for Olivia’s kindergarten. I love these kind of events.
Sunday – just housework and nothing really special.
Something You are looking forward to: Finishing the planning for our trip up the East coast of Aus and working out the attractions we will be visiting.
Mellan is just too cute 🙂
Haul: Went to Sephora after work and picked up the First Aid Beauty keratin plug scrub — really tired of these bumpies on my limbs, hoping this will do the trick. Also got the Fresh sunscreen lip/face balm. And picked up sunscreen at Target (body and face sunscreen). Gotta be prepared for tomorrow…
Weekend plans: Taking a kayak class tomorrow! I’m not really keen on water, this is something my partner wanted to do. I’m apprehensive! Afterwards there will be lunch, beer, and ice cream. Otherwise I think I’ll keep it low-key this weekend.
Things I am looking forward to: Going to bed in a few minutes, LOL. But also I’m going away to a belly dance retreat in New Mexico at the end of August and there is NO WIFI which means I can’t work at all. I can’t wait to unplug for a week, dance, hang out with awesome people and be surrounded by beautiful nature. I’ve already warned my boss so we can plan ahead to get most of my work done and the rest covered (I’m the head of my department so it takes extra planning for me to be gone for more than a few days).
Haul/Rediscoveries: Just a modest haul this week-tonight at one of my local supermarkets I picked up 4 of the new Nyx Candy Slick lip glosses (well, Nyx calls them “Glowy Lip Color,” but that’s basically just a fancy name for lip gloss)-Jawbreaker (tomato red), Single Serving (merlot), Jelly Bean Dream (hot pink), and Birthday Sprinkles (pale mauvey pink). Isabella of Musings of a Muse gave Jawbreaker a rave review.
Weekend plans: Worked all day and ran some errands today, SVU marathon and a project related to my doll collection tomorrow, probably laundry Sunday.
Something you’re looking forward to?: Honestly, just being able to relax this weekend!
Awww, what a sweet picture of Mellan.

WEEKEND PLANS: We just found signs of fleas one of our cats, so buying Frontline (I totally forgot to do this before the weather turned warm.), steam cleaning the carpets, and all the other fun stuff that goes with that. Fortunately, pest control was here yesterday for a follow-up spray of our yard. Sunday we’re going to take my husband out to eat for Father’s Day… if he can decide where he wants to go.
Something you’re looking forward to?: Our vacation next month. I really, really need to get away from it all. We had to cut the California part for another time, but we’ll still get to do the Utah part.
Haul: Rose-Gilded Eye Shadow Palette from MAC, it’s exclusive to the MENA region as far as I know
Down To An Art lipstick from MAC as well
I received my order from Colourpop this week, I enjoyed their blush stix so much! Their lipgloss in Feels Like Summer will be on my lips all summer!
Weekend: packing for my summer vacation
