Look - Chill Collection with Pinks and Grays

Happy weekend everyone!! 🙂 I’m off on winter break, so I’ve been in weekend mode perpetually since the last final finished–which is not really a good thing, LOL. I’ve realized that if I don’t do my makeup after I shower in the morning, then it’s pretty unlikely I’ll do it later. I thought I’d try a look using some Chill products yesterday, so here’s that look! 🙂

You will need the following…

  • Eyes: Soft Ochre paint pot (neutral base), Wintersky eyeshadow (dark pink), Arctic Grey eyeshadow (light silver-gray), Apres-ski eyeshadow (dark matte gray-brown), Femme-fi eyeshadow (light highlighter), Feline kohl power (black), Plushlash mascara (black)
  • Cheeks: True Romantic blush (raspberry), Dior Rose Diamond Skin Shimmer (pink shimmer)
  • Lips: Hot Gossip lipstick (medium pink), Icescape lipglass (irridescent pink)
  • Brushes: 266 (firm, angled brush), 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 129 (dense blush brush)
  • Substitutes: Wintersky = Sweet Lust; Arctic Grey = Electra; Apres-ski = Copperplate; Femme-fi = Shroom; Feline = Graphblack; True Romantic = Gentle; Icescape = Flusterose

Directions: Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow applied with the 266 brush. Apply Soft Ochre paint pot all over the lid as the base with the 249. On the inner lid, apply Wintersky eyeshadow using the 239. Apply Arctic Grey eyeshadow to the middle of the lid. Darken the outer lid using Apres-ski and drag into crease using the 239. Sweep Femme-fi eyeshadow underneath the brow bone to highlight. Finish with Feline kohl power on lower lash line, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. Sweep apples of cheeks with True Romantic blush layered with Rose Diamond using the 129. Apply Hot Gossip lipstick to lips, and then top with Icescape lipglass for color and shine.

Well within the next week I hope! I think I am going to wait until the 24th and then do an online order with those chill products and 4 dame edna lippies. Then I will wait for the rest of swatches and reviews for Dame Edna.

Oh cute new haircut 🙂 I like this much better than the other haircut you just cut off…I wasnt really diggn it…it kinda looked “old” Rachel ala Friends. This is way way way cuter and much more “YOU” 🙂

I love the look. Very wintery and pretty. I wasn’t really considering any of the Chill Collection…however, I might want to give it a look in person on my next MAC visit 🙂

I really like the new haircut! Happy Holidays!

Nice hair! 😀
I like the look and how you put the colours together! But overall this collection doesn’t suit you as much though, cos of the skintone!

The colors of this collection suit you quite well! True Romantic was my second ever MAC blush and I am not feeling it, it seems like it doesn’t like to blend. It looks lovely on you though. :]

Thanks, Michelle! 🙂

True Romantic IS very, very pigmented. It can also be hard to blend out, too, just because it tends to stay and not budge. I love using the 182 to help buff the color out, and sometimes covering it with loose powder (like MSF Natural) helps to diffuse and lighten the color a bit when it doesn’t want to blend!

I bought Icescape Lipglass. The MAC make-up artist said it’s everything Oyster Girl should be! I still love Oyster Girl, but Icescape is really pretty. I plan to wear it over Party Line, So Scarlet, and Wild About You.

Love the hair! Love the look! Picked up wintersky, but now might be inspired by you to pick up artic grey. 😀 Did you pick up the penultimate liner? What are your thoughts?

Christine Avatar

Thanks, Stacey! It doesn’t feel strange really, but I know I prefer a longer length now (like it’s not that I’m afraid of short, I can now say I have a preference!). I’m *so* annoyed that I can’t pull my hair back when I wash my face or cook or whathaveyou. It’s always coming to the front, LOL.

Yay! Thanks, Lynn! 🙂

Worth it? If you have similar colors, definitely pass-worthy. I don’t think any of them are OMG must-haves in the least bit. Wintersky is pretty, and it is a nice choice for a more subdued pink (that’s not so full-on pink like Da Bling). Vellum is lovely, though it was available at stores before and now I believe it will just be PRO only. Those were my two faves out of the five shadows.

This is such a lovely look! <3
I just had a closer look to MAC’s Chill collection and I actually loved the two eyesahdows ‘Wintersky’ and ‘Arctic Grey’ best!

So now I saw it on you, and what a pretty look you can achieve with these two colors, I definitely will jump ahead and get these two items as soon as possible! 😉

Which blush instead of True Romantic could you recommend for this look?
