Benefit Bronze Have More Fun Creaseless Cream Shadow
Benefit Bronze Have More Fun Creaseless Cream Shadow ($20.00 for 0.16 oz.) is described as an “antique bronze.” It’s a deep bronze with subtle warm undertones and a copper and bronze shimmer. The finish is subtly shimmery; not as frosted or as metallic as some of the other shades in the range. MAC Venetian Tarnish is similar–a bit less red-toned. Maybelline Bad to the Bronze is lighter and more metallic. Urban Decay Smog is lighter and warmer, plus it is a powder. Wet ‘n’ Wild Sparkle ‘Til Morning #8 is darker and less bronze, and it is also a powder product.
It has a thin, creamy consistency that makes it really easy to apply to the lid. The color can be applied at full strength and opaque color, or it can easily be blended out to a sheer wash of color. My one problem with Bronze Have More Fun was that it faded unevenly and looked patchy after six hours or so, and then it continued down that path for the rest of the time I wore it (full twelve hours in total). Admittedly, from afar, I don’t think anyone would point it out and spot it, but it’s there and shouldn’t be (and others that I’ve already reviewed haven’t had this problem). I didn’t get any creasing or smudging, but I was disappointed with the way it wore overall.

I seriously cannot wait for these to come out! They look so pretty, and I love the colors of this one!
This is such a gorgeous shade! Do you think it will still look patchy if it was applied over primer, Christine?
When I tried it over NARS’ primer, I didn’t feel like it applied any better. If you had a thicker, maybe tackier base, like NYX Jumbo Pencil, it might work better.
Thanks, Christine. I’m also using NARS’ primer. I was hoping it would perform better when applied over that. 🙁
It’s too bad it started to fade away after six hours! It’s such a gorgeous color, and it looks fantastic with My Two Cents!
What a pity, it’s a stunning colour and I like the other creaseless cream shadows. Christine, when you review cream products like these and Nars shadow pencils for example, I think it’d be nice if you blended them and used them the way one would do a “look”, you know, the way you do the powder shadows.
BTW I bought the Aigle Noir Nars shadow pencil sight unseen (nat avail in this country, got it online) out of pure horrified fascination sparked by your reviews, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised!! It does crease, but it keeps on looking gorgeous when applied properly and is a beaut with Laura Mercier Black Karat baked eyeshadow.
I have the same problem with a lot of cream shadows actually. They all tend up to fade unevenly and look really patchy on my eyes. I’m not sure about this one, but the color is beautiful.
Aw, what a bummer that it was rather disappointing, because I do like the color.
Hi Christine! Was the fading you experienced with a primer or without? If it was with a primer, which one? Thanks!!
No primer, since these are supposed to be long-wearing on their own 🙂
beautiful shade, will suit Indian skin tone and a pretty bridal wear shade
Hey I know I’m a little late in this post. But how does Bronze have more Fun compare to Busy Signal? Busy Signal is being discontinued and I would like to know is Bronze have more Fun a decent substitute.
I think this is a bit warmer and more frosted! 🙂
