Ooh, I just went to a party last night! It was a pretty casual party, so I didn’t go OTT glamor-girl!
I did a lighter silver smoky eye with the Dior Twilight quint using the NARS single in Abyssinia on the browbone. I lined the upper lash-line with Too Faced Starry-eyed liner in Ooh and Aah (black and silver glitter) and I finished the eyes with a liberal application of Chanel Exceptionnel mascara in Smoky Noir (Black) on the upper and lower lashes. I used Benefit’s “10” to contour my cheeks without adding a lot of color and used Chanel lipgloss in Red Shine on my lips. I really liked the results!
I went to an informal party a few weeks ago and I wanted something neutral with a little pop of color. The UD liner was really quite subtle.
I used a sheer, shimmery lavender cream shadow a little past the crease and Lorac eyeshadow in Serenity and BareMinerals Glimpse in Water Lily on the lid. Then, I lined my lower lash line with UD Liquid Liner in Shattered. On my lips, I wore Sephora Brand Ultra-Shine Lip Gloss in Silver Raspberry 07 (a really gentle plum color).
Usually I do a cats eye in black liner and Stila’s kitten eyeshadow (such a pretty gold on me) with a sparkly reddish shear lipgloss.
I went to a friend’s company party and it was dressy casual so I wore a menswear inspired holiday outfit and all black. I did a smoky eye with a matte black, a shimmery gunmetal (i think it was Knight Divine, MAC) and a white (Urban Decay’s Vapor) for the inside corners. I paired it with lancome’s rose fishnets.
I am currently loving metallic eyeshadows in a whole colour range so for holiday parties I pop in my contacts, amp up the eye shadow with bright or smokily dark combo (the last two I did were a gold, aqua & teal mermaid inspired look and a deep, dark and delicious silver, deep shimmery raspberry and metallic dark chocolate with lots of smudged liner), dab a little luminizer over my blush for extra omph! and slick on a sheer gloss or nude lipstick because I am too lazy to reapply after each drink!
Oh, and I always make sure I have brow powder on for extra emphasis and apply powder all down my neck becuase it looks way better in photos.
