NARS Light Reflecting Setting Powder Launches

NARS Light Reflecting Setting Powder

For Spring 2013, NARS introduces an innovative new mineral setting powder, available in both loose and pressed formulas. Light Reflecting Setting Powder helps skin “shine through makeup,” enhancing the look of foundation and extending makeup wear – all without
a trace of color.

Containing NARS’ exclusive Light Reflecting Complex, this translucent powder optimizes light reflection on the skin, optically fading fine lines, wrinkles, and pores as skin is visibly smoothed. Vitamin E and glycerin help guard against dryness and provide a luminous soft matte finish. Ideal for touch-ups, regulating shine, and seamlessly setting foundation. Paraben-free. Fragrance-free. Non-Comedogenic.

Loose Powder ($34.00)

Available January 15th at NARS 413 BLKR boutique and narscosmetics.com

Pressed Powder ($34.00)

Available February 1st at Sephora and sephora.com, March 15th at narscosmetics.com

I’d love to see this work. I need to powder my skin, but I’m always searching for a natural look. Should I go au natural though, it’d be one greasy ugly mess

After the discussion about “worst setting powder”, I wonder how much these will be like MUFE HD in that the “exclusive Light Reflecting Complex, this translucent powder optimizes light reflection on the skin, optically fading fine lines, wrinkles, and pores as skin is visibly smoothed” factor will be the very thing that makes it less than ideal for flash photograhy! But I am still interested to give this a try. I’m such a sucker for anything promising to render invisible my pores, fine lines and other imperfections.

That was actually my first thought when I saw it advertised on another site – that can’t be good for cameras. Still, I’ll be interested to see how NARS handles it. I do love the brand, even through its misses.

Though Nars has face powder I’ve always wished they would come out with a translucent setting powder, nice to see they finally are. Can’t wait to read your review, Christine.

Color me intrigued. I may end up getting the pressed powder, since it doesn’t look like the loose powder will be available from Sephora 🙁

I’m not hopeful. I haven’t found a setting powder yet that doesn’t reflect back when using flash photography and makes me look like I have spot-light eyes. Ugh!!

I’m so excited! I’ve been looking for a setting powder I’ll like and these seem like good possibilities for me. Can’t wait to try them out (:
