Basically 4, but it depends if I use eye shadow which adds 2 more!
For normal everyday wear – Just 2 brushes;
1: for dusting on setting powder (I wear BB creams) is the large EcoTools face brush
2: If I’m not wearing my fav Stainiac blush by theBalm and I’m wearing some other powdered blush, then I use my MAC 129SE.

Whoops – I thought this meant total brushes used in a daily routine. For face – I use 4 total – foundation, blush and one to blend concealer. For powder, I use a puff to apply and a fluffy brush to wipe off excess.
1 urban decay foundation brush (the new popular one that was promoted with the naked foundation)
1 for face powder from MAC
1 for blush MAC 116
1 for contour white angled brush by MAC
4 total!
I usually don’t wear eyeshadow because I’m in a hurry and running late in the mornings! If i have time I’ll use 2-3 brushes for eyeshadow from MAC.
I really only use 3 face brushes:
1. Crown Brush Deluxe Angled Brush (this is AMAZING for contouring)
2. Real Techniques Contour Brush, which actually works better as a blush brush.
3. EcoTools Powder Brush
Two.
I have an old Tarte brush that’s double-sided for crease blending and lids. I also have a blush brush that doubles as a powder brush, because I honestly don’t get the difference. (I am looking to up the quality of my brush, though).
I use Beautyblender for my foundation. Once in a great while, I’ll use an eyeliner brush, but since I started using the Skinny Liners by Eyeko, I haven’t had to.
Oops, just realized you said face brush. So I guess just one.
And lol, just realized “old Tarte brush” sounds sketchy. It’s still in great condition, even after years of regular use. I wish they still made it, ’cause I’d buy more for gifts.
Between 0 to 5, depending on the products I use. (foundation brush, powder brush, blush brush, sculpting brush, highlighting brush)

Foundation, concealer, and blush are all definites, and then eyeshadow or lipstick can add at least two more!
1. blush brush by pixiwoo. i don’t wear foundation usually, use fingers for face concealing, and since i wear glasses, i don’t use undereye concealer.
Usually 3, but sometimes 5, depending. I use tinted moisturizer most days and apply that with my (clean) fingers as well as my concealer. If I am applying foundation, I’ll use either the sigma angled kabuki or the urban decay buffing brush that came out with the naked foundations. I use my real techniques multitask brush for powder, a cozette s150 brush for setting my concealer and for highlighting, and my cozette s130 brush for blush. If I am using bronzer, which lately I’ve been skipping, I’ll use my real techniques egg-shaped blush brush for powder bronzer or a tarte duo fiber blush brush for my chanel cream bronzer.
If I add eye brushes to the mix, the number doubles. I tend to use mainly mac brushes for the eyes and I tend to use quite a few. 😛
i use the 168 to contour and highlight and apply powder,even though all of people only use for contour and or blush use for both and to powder, and it doesn’t ‘t blends beautifullly , 130 to apply foundation, and then I use the 188 to do any extra blending and diffusing of highlight/contour/blushing if needed
About 7 usually, and double that if I am wearing eyeshadow:

– 195 for under eye concealing

Concealer, powder, contour, blush/highlight – 4!
A Kryolan paddle brush (a MAC 190 dupe) for primer, a MAC 187 for liquid foundation, a bare escentuals powder brush for setting powder, and a smaller bare escentuals brush for blush. This question makes me sad because I really want to invest in some better brushes!!
Sonia Kashuk & Posh make great, affordable brushes, and both brands are available in sets, as well.
In order of use…
1. Illamasqua powder brush for primer or anything liquid before foundation.
2. Beauty blender for foundation.
3. Tom Ford shade & illuminate brush for cream contour
4. Tom Ford bronzer brush for powder
5. Chanel blush
6. Chanel powder for bronzer
For a basic look, I’ll use Real Techniques multi-task brush (foundation, blush, and sometimes highlighter), the eye shadow brush from their travel set (doubles for eye shadow and concealer), and a powder brush (normally EcoTools) or a cheapie version of the Beauty Blender to finish. If I’m doing something fancier, add in an angled brush (cheapie version again) for eye liner and possibly a crease brush (Stila, I think it’s no. 52?).
I use +- 7-12 brushes;
-brow 1, concealer (1), setting brux for the concealer 1 – on brush (1) in case of acnee.. redness, and my powder bruch 1, and one for bb cream (1)= 6 for face
– for eyes it dependant but 1 (239 mac)- one for my crease (always) 1- but if it’s for smockey eyes i use 5 brushes 🙂

Most days, I use 2 Sonia Kashuk brushes on my eyes – a flat shadow brush and a crease brush – and a Quo smudger brush to smudge out my pencil liner. I use MAC 130 or similar to apply foundation (unless I’m using mineral powder foundation), a 224 to apply my under-eye concealer and a Pur Minerals angled blush brush for my blush. For lipstick, if I’m not applying right from the tube, I use a Quo retractable lip brush.

A flat headed Kabuki brush to apply powder foundation, then the same brush for a finishing powder if I use one (rarely) then I set with a spray.
My normal blush is a cream that I apply straight from the stick and blend with fingers.
I use five brushes. I use a real techniques expert face brush for my foundation, a real techniques buffing brush to set my powder, a MAC 109 for contouring, a real techniques blush brush for blush and a real techniques contour brush for my highlighter.
Up to 3. I use my Bobbi Powder Brush for powder, blush and bronzing powder. Maybe a MAC 190 for creme blush or MAC 187 or MAC 130 for powder blush or contouring.
I only use a brush to clean up any eyeshadow fallout. Otherwise I don’t use any most days.
One – my Chanel kabuki brush. I use it to apply my face powder (powder foundation), the blush and the highlighter or contour powder. Since all 3 are powder products, the brush easily wipes clean on a piece of tissue after each product is applied.
Well my face I use two brushes, one for my tinted moisturizer and then one for blush. The finishing powder I currently use has an applicator attached (UD razor sharp). If I factor in eye make for a basic look then usually one or two more, one big blending brush to sweep color all over my eye then a small contour for crease color. So I guess I use 4 brushes

I use my fingers for foundation, Nars Yachiyo for blush and highlight, a Crown brush for powder (not sure of the name/number, but it’s huge!) as well as a Tarte face brush (just discovered it, it’s amazing and so soft). Would love to hear more about what brushes people use for meteorites!
3 – a big fluffy Estee Lauder brush (that I’ve had forever) for powder foundation (which I apply more like a setting powder), then it’s smaller version is what I use for blush, and a lip brush for concealer. I know that sounds strange, but the slightly pointed end and the flat surface of bristles is perfect.
That’s not strange at all; I have a lip brush that came with an Elizabeth Arden PWP many years ago that I use as a crease brush (it’s a bit to big & dense for lips, but *perfect* for my crease), and I often use concealer brushes to pat on glittery eyeshadows.
For a normal workday look:
Eyes: 1 eyeshadow and one brow brush/lash comb, liner brush if I’m lining my eyes
Face: blush and powder brush. I use the beauty blender for foundation
Sometimes I’ll use a lip brush.
So, six for a week day
For going out, may more. When I’m going out I contour my eyes, highlighter, sometimes contour and need many more brushes.
I use a Beauty Blender for my foundation, but thats technically not a brush. A Real Techniques domed shadow brush for concealer and their multitask brush for blush and contour.
Hmmm if it’s just face brushes, I’d say… a minimum of 3, up to a maximum of 5.
1: MAC 130 to blend concealer and benefit high beam highlighter
2: some sort of large synthetic powder brush to set bbcream
3: some sort of angled blush brush for blush
and sometimes…
4: small powder brush for additional highlighting powder
5: contouring brush for bronzer
Depends on what I’m wearing. Usually if I’m doing powder foundation I apply with a sponge, and BB cream I apply with my fingers. So I use a brush for blush, and maybe one more to blend it out. Sometimes I use a powder brush for setting powder but sometimes I use a puff. I use a beautyblender when I use foundation, although sometimes I will use a brush for that. so…anywhere from 0 (if I wear cream blush I use my fingers) to maybe four?
On an “average” day, I just use a TM, so no brush there. If I need concealer, I use a brush to pick up & apply product, but I blend with my fingers or a sponge. If I use a powder foundation, then that’s another brush, and one more for setting powder. I don’t typically wear blush, but if I do, that’s another brush. At the end, I use my Physician’s Formula flat Kabuki brush to buff everything out.
I typically use 2, but I will use as many as 5 if I’m having skin issues or it will be a longer day.
I usually use 4. RT Stippling Brush for foundation, Clinique Blush Brush, RT Contour Brush and a RT Kabuki to blend.
I use two to three on a daily basis. Real Techniques buffing brush for foundation, MAC 224 for undereye corrector/concealer, if I use powder blush, MAC 109.
Usually just two. My concealer brush and my powder brush. If I wear liquid foundation I normally use my fingers/hands for even application!
I use 4 brushes:

I tend to use 4 to 5 brushes for my face make up.
A concealer brush for well, concealer.
The Sigma F82 / a domed kabuki brush for powder foundation. It’s amazing how much coverage I can get out of a regular MAC MSF Natural with a kabuki brush!
The Sigma F30 / a large fluffy face brush for powder primer / setting.
One blush brush, either an angled brush for regular blush or a skunk brush for MAC MSFs.
One small fluffy blush brush for highlighter shades. Highlighters are optional but I make an effort to include them in my makeup routine more often since I have 5 or 6 beautiful ones but rarely used to use them.
A foundation brush, concealer brush for undereye concealing, 1 eyeshadow brush, a eyeliner brush, a brow brush and a blusher brush… So, that’s 6 brushes depending on how elaborate I like my makeup to be. Most of the time it’s less as I just became a mom and I don’t have the time to put on a lot of makeup anymore 😉
Four – a Real Techniques stippling brush for foundation, a large Ecotools brush for setting powder, a MAC 109 to contour slightly with bronzer and a MAC 129 for blush.
Four facebrushes: MAC 187 for foundation and 3 random fluffy brushes for powder, blush and contour.
It depends in how much coverage I need:
– For a sheer coverage: MAC 130 for concealer and my Tous kabuki brush for the powder foundation and the powder blush. I use my fingers for cream blush and concealer under the eyes.
– If I have more time (or a worse-looking face): MAC 187 and 130 for foundation (I prefer to use both, one for the larger parts and the other for the small areas near my lips and nose) and the Tous kabuki brush for blush.
