Deborah Lippmann ” Across the Universe “, I use it over a base ( blue, green blue etc… ) as a top coat. The result is really beautiful.

Deborah Lippmann’s “Let’s Go Crazy” is amazing! So beautiful over a blue/purple/black base. I also love Milani’s “Lavender Fizz” and Urban Outfitter’s “Unicorn.”

For gold, my favorite is Deborah Lippmann Boom Boom Pow. I love the combo of gold dust, circular glitter, and gold hexes.

For multicolored, my hands down, HG favorite is Cirque Colors XX. Christine, you need to try this nail polish! It has the most amazing combo of pastel-hued holo glitter in a unique variety of shapes. The glitter payoff is excellent, too – nice layer of glitter in one coat w/o having to dig and place glitter onto the nail. Love, love this one. It gives the nails almost a jeweled effect.

I love Deborah Lippman Glitters. They tend to all be really unique, but they are also harder to get off. I work Cleopatra in NYC and it took ages to get off EVEN with foil method.

OPI – Goldeneye is one of the best gold glitters I’ve worn.

China Glaze – Running in Circles… one of the best looking emerald glitters, just beautiful!

aww we can’t get Deborah Lippmann in Australia, I’m DYING to try her polishes! I do love Nicole for OPI Rainbows in the S-Kylie though, lots and lots of glitter in every stoke, it’s like there’s a party on my nails and everyone’s invited!

There are so many different subcategories of glitter nail polish, how could you choose just one? Current favorite glitter topcoat is HITS Phenomena Moonbow. Current favorite glitter-containing polish is Smitten Polish Adeste Fidelis. Current favorite glitter full-coverage polish is China Glaze Skyscraper – it’s an oldie, but still awesome!

Oh lord, I have way too much glitter polish (more than my pinks or reds). I could go on and on but my all time favorite is OPI’s Pirouette My Whistle. So beautiful and perfect.

Pick just one?! Is that possible?

I’m wearing Zoya Ivanka, green micro glitter with a hint of duochrome in the bottle but none on the nail. It about started a riot though, loads of compliments. Very Flash! And lasted ten days before sudden chip death set in.

For an opaque glitter all over the nail, I love Deborah Lipman’s glitters. Opaque in 2 coats, with excellent spacing of the glitter.

For layering I love Orly’s glitters. The base usually isn’t as pigmented, so its better for a layering effect. I currently enamored with using Orly’s Mermaid Tale in sort of an glitter ombre over Butter London’s Bluey. Mermaid Tale is also gorgeous in a jelly sandwich with Zoya Frieda (I think that’s it, the teal green jelly from the fall/winter launch.)

I love the new Gem Crush glitter polishes from Sally Hansen, particularly the Big Money shade, which is gold with a few lilac pieces.
One coat is great for a ombre look or layering, and its completely opaque with two coats, so great versatility!

Love Deborah Lippmann’s glitter polishes. I especially love Superstar and Lady Sings the Blues by themselves, and Boom Boom Pow over other colors.

All of Revlon’s shades with hexagonal glitter. For flakies, Zoya’s got three permanent shades with the good kind, that lay flat. For a holo topcoat, China Glaze Fairy Dust. If you want to just have straight-up glittery nails, go for Milani.

I have a lot of glitter polishes! I have some one-offs in other brands that I love, but I think I covered the major categories above. 😉

Sephora by OPI ‘Hollywood if I could’. It’s got a mountain of silver bar glitters, and it is not hard to get a lot or a little on the nail. It looks amazing over all kinds of nail colours! My personal favorite is layering it on top of the neon pink colour from Illamasqua’s rubberized finished polishes.

Lynnderella – Elf Assured

It looks awesome layered over every color, but over mint or turquoise it looks like a pattern on a 90s jumpsuit.

Writing down favourites here! 🙂 I don’t use much glitter polishes, beacause I think they’re a pain to remove. 😛 So I haven’t really got many.

Deborah Lippmann does glitters really well. My favorite is Mermaid’s Dream. Unfortunately DL glitters tend to thicken as time goes on.

China Glaze Fairy Dust! It looks good over EVERY nail color. It’s just stunning. Definitely the best I’ve ever used. 2nd place, Milani Gems in Gold. So good.
