Tarte Treat Yourself to Gorgeous Collection Sneak Peek Photos & Swatches

Tarte Treat Yourself to Gorgeous Collection

Will You Treat Yourself?

Tarte Treat Yourself to Gorgeous ($61.00) is a 28-piece set that includes four Maracuja Divine Shine Lipglosses, four Cashmere Waterproof Eyeliners, and twenty Amazonian Clay Eyeshadows. I received a set around lunch time, and I’ve been furiously trying to get everything ready and reviewed–but I’m not going to get that review finished before it launches. It’s a one-day TSV special on QVC for November 28th, which kicks off at 12AM EST.  It will be specially priced at just under $50.  I’ll be working on the review still, but here are swatches for now 🙂

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! This looks like the perfect gift for my mom since she’s a big fan of glittery shadows. I’ll be waiting on your review to decide whether or not to buy it! Tarte Bubble Bath seems like the only color she wouldn’t wear.

I feel in love with the Sephora and Ulta sets when I saw pics of them.. However, when I swatched the two sets the pigmentation was not that great. That seems to be them same with this set. The packaging is gorgeous but the products don’t seem like they are that great. Not going to get this one.

It’s not that tarte is poor quality; the shadows are meant to be sheer. I have all but one of the 10-pan palettes, the True Blood palette, the Holiday 2010 Sephora set, and Carried Away, and I love them all. If used wet, or over a primer/base, the pigmentation is amazing. I love having the option of using them both ways, as it takes such little effort to get either intensity.

Three of the four lipglosses look almost identical; the first two in particular, and I’m not convinced of pigmentation with the eyeliners and eyeshadows. I’ll wait for the review but I think I can skip this.

As beautiful as this is, I’ll have to pass; I have several tarte palettes, and it seems I have most of these shades covered (except the golds, but I don’t wear them enough to justify having so many). I also just got the Carried Away set, so I’m good for lip gloss for a while. Still, this is a great value, and if there were more color variety, I’d be so tempted.

I’m not feeling this one and I can think of other Tarte palettes I would prefer to pick up such as the Carried Away set since the variety is that much greater. I find the palette craze at Christmas time to be a bit visually overwhelming. It’s a good thing because I’m feeling very close to saturation point on eyeshadows at the moment.

This is nice but I’m really glad I ordered the carried away set. I just looked on Sephora’s site and it’s now permanently sold out online so I’m super glad i ordered when I did!

The Black brown eyeliner in this set is calling my name though, What a gorgeous rich brown.
