Free for Haul Friday, Volume #158
Welcome to Free For Haul Friday!
- Haul: My Sephora F&F haul arrived yesterday – I picked up a Sephora + Pantone eyeliner set, Sephora gloss set, philosophy set, a few Illamasqua nail varnishes and Stranger Intense Lipgloss.
- Weekend plans: I’m crossing fingers that I can get a good night’s sleep! Farmer’s market, brunch, and wash Mellan (or Smellan as we’re calling him right now).
- Do you like spicy food?: I do! I wouldn’t say that I want anything super, super spicy–I won’t be winning any hot pepper eating contests any time soon–but I like some kick.
Share your pet photos to the Temptalia Pets flickr group! 🙂
This week’s Mellan video…
It’s like he know’s I’m recording him, so he acts like a model citizen.
My Sephora order arrived yesterday as well – just a couple items, including a YSL glossy stain. I love glossy stains so much!
Weekend plans: spend all of today freaking out about the CA Bar Exam results being posted this evening, spend rest of weekend either being ridiculously happy or crying. I felt good about it at the time, and wasn’t too anxious until today, really but I’m pretty freaked out now.
I like enough heat to enhance the flavor, but not so much heat that I can’t taste it as well / it kills my tastebuds.
Good luck!! <3
■Haul: OOOH I Love Philosophy Christine! Which scents did you get?
I got a lot of hair care items. I am switching to sulfate/alcohol/paraben free products. So I got some products from Loreal’s sulfate free line, some essential oils for my hair, and I returned the Too Faced Palette. I just didn’t like it. At all. I will use that money to beauty haul for Black Friday:)
■Weekend plans: BUM! I am excited to get a week off from work for the holiday so I am going to relax. Maybe movies with the boyfriend 🙂
■Do you like spicy food?: NO! Its strange because my family is from Louisiana and they are known for their spicy food! But I’ll pass 🙂
I got the Sweet Rendezvous set 🙂
haul: my boyfriend surprised me for my 18 month sobriety date with three chanel nail polishes! frenzy, black pearl, and dragon. He did GOOD. i also succumbed and bought a mac marilyn lipstick from ebay since i missed out. Love goddess should arrive next week. also shiseido rouge parfaikt in pk307. Other than that, i’ve been really good with my spending!
weekend plans: ugh nothing. my boyfriend it working 12 hour shifts all weekend so i’m on puppy duty. maybe i’ll try and make a hair appointment.
do i like spicy food?: YES!! my father is an avid spice addict. he makes his own hot sauces with peppers he grows. SCARY PEPPERS. indian food in no sweat for me.
lol, scary peppers!
Congrats on 18-months!!!! That is amazing!!
Haul: Some hand cream & oils from Yves Rocher and their fake meteorites too LOL and a super cute bunny pillow from moonscreations on etsy!
Weekend Plans: LOL Smellan! – I don’t know yet… maybe some more real estate stuff, I saw some scary(and stinky)places this past week- yikes! Lots of ‘ew, gross!’ & ‘scream for us if an axe murderer gets you’ jokes.
Do you like spicy food?: I like spicy food but not SPICY!!!!! food.
I haven’t tried Yves Rochers before, can you believe it?!
I like a bunch of their products and I really like when they send me free full sized products in my orders! LOL It’s great advertising and it works because I’ve reordered many of them later on.
My favourites are the Jardins du Monde shower gels in Mexican Aloe Vera & Cormoran Ylang-Ylang, and the Arnica Daily hand cream.
Haul: Nothing! I’ve been so good!
Weekend plans: Getting my hair cut, going to a party and finishing some IKEA wardrobes!
Do you like spicy food?: I suppose so, as long as it’s not CRAZY spicy!
I hope you can finish those wardrobes this weekend, Laura!
Haul: Nada wasn’t able to take advantage of my VIB in store because I have to commute to a store.
Weekend plans: IMATS Toronto. Saving for this.
Why must IMATS Toronto be the same month as ALLLL the Holiday sales for alot of brands they only has once a year…. Having it in October or March would be great. (I’m excluding February due to weather 😉 )
Do you like spicy food?: I do! But not a spicy as some, I like “medium” heat but slowly building my tolerance up as my family went mild with the heat growing up.
Anything you’re hunting for at IMATS this time around?
Yes in particular AA (alcohol Activated) body paint. I need to turn pale purple and light green over the summer for 16 hour days (8am till midnight). Shipping his stuff into Canada is nightmarish so trying out a few brands in person and picking up what is need is a bonus.
Here’s my full wishlist at the end. Not sure I’ll get it all.
http://www.warpaintandunicorns.com/2012/11/imats-toronto-2012-is-coming.html
I now I’m going to raid the OCC booth this year and hope to talk to Lauren (Queen Of Blending) Just found out last nigh she’s coming.
Lit Cometics and NYX are not coming this year. 🙁 At least with LIT i can place a bulk order to get a good discount if I’m itching for more glitter but NYX have a 50% markup in Canada so their booth would be packed with huge lines and seller out every year at the Toronto IMATS. I’m not sure why they didn’t come this year.
AHHHHHHHH! Say hi to Lauren for me! She is amazinggggggggg. I love her!
Bummer about NYX, though! 🙁 I remember the only reason I wanted go to IMATS was for the 40% off MUFE, LOL!
Haul: Wet N’ Wild Drinking a Glass of Shine. I finally found one at a Walgreen’s near me! Still on the lookout for Sparkle Til Morning. Might also repurchase Bare Minerals The Rare Find since mine broke and I lost the receipt 🙁
Weekend Plans: Going to see Skyfall tomorrow night!
Do you like spicy food?: Oh yes. One of my favorite cuisines is Thai!
I’m glad you found the Wet ‘n’ Wild palette (at least noe of them)! I’m so sorry to hear about The Rare Find breaking 🙁
Mellan is such a gentleman. My 4 would eviscerate every single one of those toys in a matter of minutes. We do not have toys, we have scraps of toys. They do seem to love the scrappy bits just as much 😀
■ Haul: A truck load of nail enamels ordered from Llarowe and Overall arrived this week. I’m dangerously addicted to the sound of the bubble wrap encased bottles being cut open with scissors..
■ Weekend Plans: I turn 49 tomorrow.. We have special day planned and a sitter coming in to take care of the dogs and the rest of the entourage. Sunday, I’m throwing a dinner party, go figure.
■ Spicy Food: Yes! I have to say I didn’t know what seriously spicy food was until I was in Thailand. I was on a tour for a potash mining proposition so it wasn’t toned down Thai food for tourists. Wowza.
LOL! Well, as long as they enjoy the scraps 😉
Happy birthday!!
Happy Birthday!!
Happy birthday, hon!
Haul:
I raided the makeup section of my local Japanese dry goods store for a makeup and beauty secret Santa. Mascara, eyeliner, eyelid tape (yes they exist), tiny bottles of nail polish, makeup brushes and tools, little storage things for makeup, novelty Pocky flavors (peanut butter?!). I learned Japanese in college so reading the product descriptions make me laugh. (“Lashes look 120% thicker!” “Make a charming spot of shadow,” “Get cute and beautiful cheeks”)
Weekend plans:
Going to sleep the weekend away. I’m a little under the weather. Then again better to get sick now than on my wedding day. Ooh perfect time to give myself a mani/pedi. I’m not going to be stuck on the couch all day just watching TV.
Do you like spicy food?:
Yes and no? I think I have a spicy food limit. Horseradish and wasabi are fine by me. Sriracha I can handle to a point. Tapatio is my BFF. Then I eat a Korean hotpot or ramyun and I keel over.
I hope you feel better soon! 🙂
Haul: I had an on-line order on its way already just before the Sephora F&F sale, aka “My future bankrupcy sale.” The list includes:
Urban Decay Smoked Eyeshadow pallet (my FIRST UD eyeshadows, if you can believe that!!)
Urban Decay Smoked Eyeliner set
OCC Lip Tars in Memento and Strumpet
Sephora jumbo teal eyeliner pencil
Draw the Line Eyeliner sampler set
Philosophy Have a Cherry Christmas shower gel
Tarina Tarantino Eyeliners in Spark of Envy and Locket Book
TT Emerald Pretty pallet
TT Mr Gold/Mr Silver Eyedream Highlight Duo
From Bath and Body Works: 7 Anti-bacterial hand soaps.
I think I’m set for life now!!!
Weekend plans include a birthday dinner and getting some Christmas shopping done, not for myself this time *eyes rolling* and now *smirking*
I love spicy food, but in moderation. The after-effects….um, no…I’ve learned to have respect for my digestive system, as revenge is 100% guaranteed and best avoided!! *serious face with a touch of fear*
Congrats on your first UD shadows!
Thank you!! I LOVE THEM!!!!
I forgot to mention that the Draw The Line sampler is in fact a Christmas present for my daughter, not me, so, less guilt 🙂
I got my Sephora F&F order the other day! I bought Guerlain Rouge G lipstick in Gigolo (I am completely in love with it!) Bobbi Brown Corrector in the lightest peach shade and Fresh Sugar Coral gift set (this is my second one!)
Weekend plans – work! and getting ready to go to upstate NY for Thanksgiving!
Do I like spicy food? HECK YES!
Gigolo is gorgeous!
Haul: I was planning on it being “nothing”, but at a random Wamlart in a podunk town they had tons of OPI’s on display that I never seen in the stores by me so I couldn’t resist getting OPI You Only Live Twice (seeing it in person convinced me I needed it. Wearing it now and I <3 it.) and OPI I Have a Herring Problem.
Weekend Plans: Lots of family is coming into town at some point this weekend so I'll be with them.
Do you like spicy food? Weirdly my tolerance for spicy food has decreased over time. I still like spicy food, but I used to be able to eat spicy peppers and hot curries with the best of them. Now I ask for "medium" at restaurants rather than "hot".
Enjoy your time with your family 🙂
This week I got the UD ocho loco set, set of 6 mini buxom glosses, josie Maran argan set, lorac pro palette and origins checks and balances from sephora. I also received my order from beauty.com where I got a Nars doucear blush, mary lu-manizer, and a origins let it glow set. Whew! I hope sephora doesnt have any more specials that will tempt me. I need to slow down until next year!
Awesome haul, Katie!
Haul: Parachute Coconut Oil, Stila Smudgestick in Damsel, L’Oreal Pencil Perfect Self Advancing Liner in Ebony (2 of them), Clinique Quickliner for Eyes in Really Black, Sonia Kashuk Bronzed Beauty quad, Tarte Emphaseyes Liner in Black.
Weekend plans: Photo shoot on Saturday. I want to devote Sunday to my final sociology paper.
DO you like spicy food?: Being of Guyanese-Indian ancestry, I think there’s a law that says I have to! LOL. I like spicy food when it’s moderately spicy, not “burn a hole in your tongue” spicy.
Damsel–don’t remember that color! Now I have to go look it up!
I think it was available in palette, and that’s how it was released. http://www.sephora.com/in-the-light-palette-P291218
I got mine on Ebay.
Ahhh! Thank you!
Oh Mellan is such a polite gentleman!
Haul: Guerlain Liu palette, Burberry Pale Barley, & Chanel Notorious.
Weekend plans: Saturday market and probably just working again!
Do you like spicy food?: Yup! I learnt to eat spicy food late, and I won’t win any contest either, but I do like the oomph!
How are you liking Notorious?
I actually took over the backup from a fellow blogger, and it’s on its way to Belgium for the moment. I’ll keep you posted!
Haul:
From Sephora VIB event, I bought a lighter shade of YSL Touche Éclat (3.5) as my summer tan is fading and restocked my trusty moisturizer, Clinique Superdefense SPF25. From beauty.com FF event, I bought NARS Nana gloss (to layer over Chanel L’Impatiente).
Weekend plans:
I got to finish writing my thesis. It’s due this Monday O_o
Do I like spicy food?
Absolutely not. People are surprised by this since my heritage is Thai. However, I grew up here and where I grew up at the time, spicy food was not prevalent at all. My BF tries to train me to eat spicy food (he loves spicy food), but I just can’t do it. The burning sensation is such a torture and distracts me from enjoying the food 🙁
Best of luck finishing up your thesis!!
mellan should share his toys with my dog! she only has two hahahaha
haul; lots of lipsticks maybelline lipstick in red revloution, milani color perfect lipsticks in rose hip and berry rich, wet n wild mega last lipsticks in sugar plum fairy (love this), vamp it up (extra love this), wet n wild mega sheild lipsticks in within these adobe walls, and a currant affair, ruby kisses nail polishes
weekend plans; hmm probably start on my paper that was due on November 6th oopsie 😉
omg yes i love love spicy food but not too spicy though
Whenever I want to engage in retail therapy… I try to buy him stuff instead, LOL! It always ends up being cheaper, too.
Haul: I picked up a couple of items from the Guerlain holiday collection (Turandot shadow quad and Lou-Ling lipstick) and a couple of nail polishes (OPI On Her Majesty’s Secret Service and Spa Ritual Conglomerate). I’m actually planning on going back for the Guerlain Calligraphy palette as well, but wanted to spread out the spending a little.
Weekend plans: We’re supposed to be going to a comedy show tonight. Other than that, I want to try to get some writing done. And some cleaning.
I love spicy food, provided that the spicy complements the flavours and doesn’t completely overwhelm them. I enjoy spicy cuisines from all over- Thailand, China, the Caribbean, Latin America, southern US, India… It’s funny, because no one in my family much cares for spicy foods. Not sure where I got my taste buds from!
I’m like you, Kate! I like spice but as long as it works with the dish and doesn’t overwhelm it!
Haul: Chanel Notorious Sculting Veil. This stuff is magical! But now I need to buy a brush to use it. I think the MAC 109 will do nicely. Yes…for my preeeeciousssss….
Weekend plans: Cleaning, then a post-Halloween party, sleepover, movie, and theater show. My schedule is packed!
Spicy food: YES! OMG YES! I once complained at a place called Wild Thai that their curry wasn’t spicy at all. I was like “Dude! You call this place Wild Thai and this is the most oily, bland curry I’ve ever had. It’s CURRY!”
I wish Notorious looked better on me! I’m so jealous!
Haul: natiliques nail strengthener and cuticle cream ( already seeing great improvements for my toes)! Also just bought Mac Pro sculping and shaping powder. Just started contouring and realized my shimmery bronzer was not working. ESP since I’m super pale and my little of a tan has faded. Looked to fake
Weekend plans: work work work cleaning work work
Spicy food: Love it! But I will always have a sweet tooth
Which shades did you grab of the sculpting/shaping powders?
Haul: My two uncles gave me two Chanel nailpolishes as belated birthday gifts (even though they had already given me something!): Quartz and Paradoxal. I love surprises like that!
Weekend plans: Eating pastries with friends, and work a bit, too!
Do you like spicy food?: HELL YES. I especially love the spices in Indian food! My taste for VERY spicy food can actually be a problem when I’m cooking for my friends or my sister, because I can’t trust myself on spices, it always turns out to be too spicy for them and not enough for me! Luckily, my father’s like me! 🙂
(Christine, on a side-note, I’m establishing my Christmas wish-list and I wanted your advice: do you think it’s worth getting both Guerlain Turandot and Chanel Harmonies du Soir quad?)
I think they’re both good palettes – you could probably get away with just one, if you wanted to add something else to your list, but I think you’d enjoy both as well.
Thanks! I think I’ll be getting both then! 🙂
You might have to dig around for the guerlain turandot palette. my boyfriend picked up one of the last ones at saks. I know nordstroms is sold out for good. they still have it at neiman marcus!
http://www.neimanmarcus.com/p/Guerlain-Holiday-Eye-Shadow-Palette-No-500/prod153850053/?ecid=NMCIGoogleProductAds&ci_sku=prod153850053skuNo500Turandot&ci_gpa=pla&ci_kw={keyword}
also i highly recommend it.
Oh it’s so kind of you to give me the heads up! I live in France though and we have JUST received the holiday collections of Guerlain and the likes. Not all counters have them yet actually, so I’m not overtly worried. But I’ll keep an eye out! Thanks, I hope I’ll enjoy Turandot as much as Christine and you!
Haul: Orly “Oui” from the Holiday Soiree Collection, MAC Pearlglide Pencil in “Lord It Up”, Milani Liquif’eye in “Gold” and MAC Lipglass in “Nymphette”.
Weekend Plans: Cleaning, Cleaning and more Cleaning…my parents are celebrating 25 years of marriage next weekend and we’re throwing a hugeee party so got to get the house ready!
Spicy food: YES YES and YES. I’m Trinidadian by nationality but of mixed heritage (Latino, African, Indian and Chinese) so you can probably say it’s in my blood to eat spicy food. In anycase, Caribbean cuisine is quite spicy! We just don’t do bland. Living in England for a while taught me how much I love love love spicy flavours. Plus Trinidad has the hottest pepper in the world (the “Trinidad Moruga Scorpion” according to extensive research done by New Mexico State University as of Feb 2012)so as I said, its just the natural thing here to love spicy food.
Do they incorporate that pepper in a lot of local cuisine? 🙂
Yay for Oui, it’s a gorgeous polish.
Haul: A blush & bronzer from Physicians Formula!
Weekend plans: I hope to spend some time with my nephews – I miss them :(!
Do you like spicy food? Yes, but not anything so spicy that it’s impossible to enjoy! I live in Mexico, so spicy foods are everywhere -not only hot chili is added, but also other spices that are seldom too much for my stomach!
Oooh, Santa stopped by Mellan’s home early! He’s so adorable behaving like a “model citizen” for the camera 🙂 and sniffing each and one of his new toys! He´s the cutest thing and lights up our Fridays!
Aww, I hope you can see your nephews! 🙂
If I’m not recording, he’s totally tearing into them. I swear!
too much stuff.
bareescentuals the star treatment
nars eyeshadow in coconut grove . first nars eyeshadow. nars is overprices in my opinion. it was on sale though beauty.com it better impress me supremely cos that stuff is expensive.
tarte glamazon in bold i m on a coral lipstick kick. overpriced.
sephora longwear lip color in #18 (apparently a dupe for revlon strawberry suede) i love the way it goes. love love love!
mac vegas volt i tried it on a couple of yrs ago, too whack at that time, like it now.
mac blackground
mac quite natural ( was b/w this and groundwork, i picked this cos i thought it’d show up better on my indian nc42 skin tone. now i m lemming groundwork. but mac is so expensive now, i dont have that kind of money.
yes i spent too much money this month in my opinion. ( work partime).
plans? psh work.
not a big fan of spicy food in spite of being indian.
Ooh! Have you tried The Star Treatment yet?
no, i havent’ tried it yet, but i have swatched it and i have the 8 pallette from last yr so i know how annoyingly pigmented (takes an eternity to use up) bare escentuals is.
i have been collecting makeup since fall 2010. i have yet to finish an eyeshadow. so u understand when say that i have no business buying eyeshadows and specially when they are this awesome. 😀
i dont wear makeup that much.
tarte bold is pretty good, 23 dollars is just bit much for the product.
MS, email me (the address can be found when you click on my name). I can help you with trying Groundwork PP.
Haul: Sephora VIB sale 2 Laura Mercier caviar shade sticks, and a new eyeshadow in moonlight platinum, NARS copacabana multiple, my very first YSL rouge volupte! Beauty.com FF some Deborah Lippmann glitter polish.
Weekend Plans: Hopefully get over this cold that I have, hopefully start baking for Thanksgiving…
Do you like spicy food? I like the tiniest of kicks really can’t tolerate much…
Nice VIB haul!
Mellan: So cute how he’s canoodling with the Abominable Snowman! You should make a Mellan-cam by hiding the camera in one of the plush toys. Would love to see him in his element!
Haul: Chanel Malice (duty-free shop), Zoya Ray and CND Stickey Base Coat off evil bay. Malice started chipping off my dominant hand within 2 days so, just ordered the CND Shiney top coat (evil bag again) to see if that plays nicer than what I’m currently using (Essie).
I also got into a vintage scarf tear on the bay of evil and got 4 lovely silk vintage Vera scarves for a song.
From Sephora F&F: Clarisonic Mia (I finally succumbed to the hype) and a spare sensitive brush head, BITE beauty lip mini set and TARTE 12 hr Amazonian Clay Foundation for my mom – her current fave.
Weekend: My son turned 3 today, so we’re celebrating tomorrow. Round up perfume samples and such for Perfume Posse’s Swapmania. Start cleaning the house for Thanksgiving.
Spicy: I like spicy to a degree but, I don’t like having to gulp water after every bite or numbing my mouth to everything but the peppers. Love wasabi on sushi and Rooster sauce on hot dogs/pizza. I leave ordering things “Thai hot” to my husband who always complains that it doesn’t even make him sweat anymore.
I don’t know why, but I don’t like the taste of horseradish – it’s not the heat, just the taste. But everyone else lovessss it!
Haul: Just some liquid hand soap and shower gel
Weekend plans: Fetch up my ordered bras, look for a blazer and a purple dress for a wedding in spring
Do you like spicy food?: Absolutely no.
Do you have a fave bra brand?
I recently discovered t-hirt bras by triumph and baby push-ups by Chantelle. They are more expensive but I hope they have the qaulity to last some years.
Will check ’em out – thanks, Nic!
I love Chantelle! They’re one of the few bra brands that come in a size large enough for me (don’t ask) but they’re incredibly comfortable and well-made.
Haul: Nothing; I have way too much, and unless I come across something on my list, I won’t buy it. I’ve decided to actually write down a physical list, and I refuse to stray. I’ve been “shopping” my stash, though, and I’ve come across far too many products that have never been opened, or only swatched once or twice. I was going through a phase shopping just about every week, and the “old” just got pushed away with the new…
Plans: Laundry & cleaning; purging more lippies; finish reading “Imperfect Justice” by Jeff Ashton (I know, the trial is *long* over, but I still wonder if I missed something the jury heard… Or, if I was watching the same trial).
Spicy Food: YES!!! I can’t get enough. Unfortunately, I’m the only one in my family who does, and none of my friends do, so unless I go to a restaurant (usually alone), I don’t eat it as often as I’d like. Even when I was pregnant, I craved it.
It’s a really good idea to write down a list!
Haul Lancome color design infinite in elecrifying sparkle, Tarte smolderEYES set,Illamasqua foundation, pigments, and liquid metal, MUFE diamond powders, MUFE black tango palette, Kate Somerville exfolikate, Brazilian peel,UD Naked 2,Jack Black products for husband.
Weekend plans Hang out w my kiddos.
I can’t handle spicy food. It smells nice but if I take a bite I’m always sorry.
I can’t wait to hear your feedback on Electrifying Sparkle!
Haul: Tarina Tarantino Eye Dream Hyperliner in Puppeteer, Tommy Jet, and Broken Doll. I already have Spark of Envy and Amethyst Andriod and love them, so I can’t wait for the new ones to arrive!
Weekend Plans: Finalizing some wedding plans and dinner with friends!
Do you like spicy food? I like some spice but nothing too extreme!
Ahh! Yay for more TT liners!
Burberry goodies: two of the new quads, Smokey Grey and Plum Pink (I am beyond excited to get these) and a lip gloss in Blush
No real plans, just relaxing.
I love spicy food, as long as it’s not so spicy that it becomes bitter.
Ooh! Hope you enjoy the new quads!
Oh I can’t wait and I’ll be looking forward to your review 😉
Haul: I went so overboard last week with the Sephora VIB sale (including The Star Treatment and Tarina Tarantino’s Emerald Pretty)that I haven’t even thought about buying anything this week!
Weekend plans: taking it easy and fitting in as much yoga as I can (my husband also goes with me and it’s like our “date”)
Do you like spicy food? You bet! I think Thai food is my favourite cuisine and I like it on the hotter side.
Seems like a lot of Thai food fans on this blog 🙂
Haul: I’m trying not to buy too much but my dogs ate my favorite blush brush so I bought a Sephora blush/bronzer duo brush this week.
Weekend plans: work and catch up on house work
spicy: Nay I actually have an excuse. I have been diagnosed as a super taster meaning that I actually have more taste buds than the average person. I like really bland food. Any spice at all I feel like my mouth has caught fire!
What a bummer that super taster means you actually need blander food!
Haul: nothing
Now he is an model citizen, If he wasn’t being filmed of if he didn’t know he was being filmed, what would he doe? 😀
Running around like a mad-dog! 🙂
Haul: Lacoste Essential Cologne, Lancome Teint Idole 24H Foundation, Smashbox Studio Skin Foundation, Bobbi Brown Sheer Finish Pressed Powder, and Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil.
Have you tried any of these? Also, do you ever get the chance to haul essential staples like foundation, etc… Or are you always testing so many things that you never or rarely use up HG products?
Weekend Plans: Hang out with friends and write some stuff for the blog!
Do you like spicy food?: Though I haven’t eaten any in years, do Hot Cheetos count? Haha! But not usually. The closest thing to “spicy” that I eat is wasabi with my sushi. 🙂
<3 Mellan
Lots of staple products, I see! I don’t really re-buy much, if anything!
Ooh. Not even Guerlain Gold, Lingerie de Peau, or MUFE HD?
I’ve never finished any of those!
Haul: Finally bought some stuff. Got OPI polishes in Goldeneye, The Spy Who Loved Me, and Skyfall. My VIB order came yesterday. Got Illamasqua polish in Creator, the OPI gold top coat, Pantone Universe polish in Cradle Pink, OCC lip tar in Lydia, Lorac 3D Liquid Lustre in Diamond, and the Eyeko Skinny Mini Duo.
Weekend: I’m trying to fight off this nasty cold I got from the dentists’ office last week. Eating and sleeping has been hard and it’s upset my baby. He’s a major kicker. Plus, I’m hosting Thanksgiving next week. I don’t want to get my family sick. 🙁
Spicy food: This Chicana loves it! Since being preggers, my spicy cravings have kicked into overdrive. I’m not suppose to eat spicy and I keep to that about ninety percent of the time. I’ve managed to stay away from Indian and Thai, but I do cheat sometimes with some Chinese or Mexican.
I hope you lurve Creator!
Haul: Sephora VIB sale purchases (Caudalie Vinoperfect Serum and Creme Sorbet, Ole Henriksen African Red Tea Face Mist, Becca Mineral Blush in Sweetpea, Becca Eye Quad in Astro Violet, Becca mini Beach Tint duo, Boscia Pink Peppermint Blotting Linens, MUFE Aqua Black Cream Shadow, MUFE Aqua Eyes in 23L, Nars Pro-Prime eye primer, Jack Black balm, and Fresh Sugar Plum Tinted Lip Treatment), and a cute t-shirt from Anthropologie
Weekend plans: put together my new lighting setup for photos, breakfast with the boyfriend, laundry, and studying!
Do you like spicy food?: I’m pretty sensitive to spicy foods. The only thing I can really eat is sriracha sauce–I put it on everything! It’s not even spicy to me anymore because I’ve been eating it so long, I think I’ve built up a tolerance 😛
Very nice VIB haul, Becca!
Haul: Guerlain Noir G mascara, Bare Minerals Cool as Ice lipgloss set, Burberry Pink Taupe eyeshadow quad, Vintage Gold lip gloss (note: Christine, I think you’d *love* this. It’s an antique brown-gold-shimmery gloss, and it’s just gorgeous either on its own or layered), and I forget if I got anything else. I think that’s it though. Also totally awesome new smartphone today 😀
Weekend plans: Haircut tomorrow, then I don’t know what, and work on Sunday. Also a lot of laundry and cleaning out my car.
Spicy food: Nope. I’m a wimp. The milder the better, for me.
The gloss sounds very pretty 🙂
Haul: Phytopolleine Universal Elixir Scalp Stimulant from the Sephora VIB sale (and dang, is the bottle tiny. It’s almost ridiculous, for $32 at regular retail price.)
Weekend plans: Go to dance practice, sleep in tomorrow, go to an event tomorrow night (time to break out a long dress…), and try to catch up on homework on Sunday.
Do you like spicy food?: Yes, I love it! However, I get sick from some of it now. I can only eat spicy sauces/hot sauces. I used to be able to eat jalapenos, sport peppers, and giardiniera, but now I get insanely sick for two days after if I eat any of it. I’m starting to have problems with crushed chili pepper flakes, too. I think it’s because they all sit in oil for so long.
It must be good, though, right? 🙂
Haul: finally get naked palette, cross my finger that the palette is worth the hype. And chanel blush in rose ecrin.
Weekend plan: get over this cold n fever 🙁
I am a huge sucker for spicy food. I think I almost at the level that I can handle everything 🙂
I hope you love the Naked palette, Fan!
Haul: MAC Cream in your Coffee lipstick and MAC 224 brush, I wasn’t much impressed by the MAC holiday collection
Weekend Plans: cleaning and relaxing, no school next week 😀
Do I like spicy food: Yes but not too spicy haha
Yay for no school!
Haul: L’Oreal Infallible Gold Imperial eye shadow (kind of kicking myself now that I didn’t pick up the silver version!) and Magic Lumi liquid concealer, New York Color liquid liner in Serpentine, and Clinique Dramatically Different moisturizer (arrived just in time – I used the last of my Bare Escentuals one this morning! D:). I also used my VIB status to pick up Miss Dior fragrance for a coworker. 🙂
Weekend Plans: Sleep. I miss it. DX I also have a huge list of STUFF that needs done because I have put off doing STUFF for far too long. (Like mailing out my driver’s license renewal form…the one that expired two months ago, haha.)
Do you like spicy food: I enjoy it, but I do have my limits for the amount my mouth can handle. I usually fall somewhere in the midway point for spicy – otherwise, it gives me a stomach ache.
Maybe you can go back and get the other shade! 🙂
Aw, Smellan!! I love the serious sniffing in the vid. Reminds me so much of my dearly departed beagle. Toby was a sniff-a-holic. 😀
Haul: A bunch of cute nail polish from the dollar store, and Color Club’s Show Time (which I’m in love with!). Oh, & a sparkly ball for my cat, Lizzie. (Very important)
