What kind of new launches are you least tempted by?
Skincare and complexion products are small blips for me–I pay attention but they aren’t categories that excite me overall.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Anything that doesn’t “speak” to my needs or tastes. Anything that is particularly offensive or vulgar in its shade names or theme. Certain brands that just don’t resonate with me, either because their reputation is sketchy or their aesthetic doesn’t jibe with mine at all.
The new launches that least interest me are those that are made up of:
1. Bright, neon, very warm toned shades for eyes
2. Lots of lip glosses – I never wear them
3. Shades that are named in an offensive or crude way.
Darker drab colors, coral sets, and highlighters.
I don’t get excited about launches with vulgar marketing, vulgar names or other discriminatory practices. Too many really dark shades as they are difficult for me to use given how fair I am. I am not much of a blush snob so unless it is really spectacular I am not very interested. Gimmicky makeup, products that change colour, etc. don’t do anything for me. I have gotten to the point now where I don’t get excited by palette launches because they are all the same. You can hold them up next to each other and it is difficult to tell the difference or who manufactured what. The speed with which some brands release products is a little off putting also. Ho hum, it is Tuesday so ColourPop must have a new release today, kind of thing, LOL!!
Lip glosses, I don’t wear them. Vulgar named items. Warm toned items or ones not for my skin type. Otherwise I’m game for anything!
I am sorry, I meant to wish you Happy Thanksgiving, Christine and to all the readers of Temptalia. Hope everyone is having a wonderful day with good food, friends and family and that you are all safe. I am very thankful this holiday season for Temptalia, Christine and the friends I have made here on the blog.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgivings. Oh do I need to add mileage to burn all the yummy food we shared in the family. Yikes! Lol!
Anything vulgar throws me off just why the need. Why so desperate to spiral to a certain age group or whatever. Stay classic it fun but don’t go cheap as in stupid offensive words.
Well, clearly I am in the minority here. 22 years old, never offended by the “vulgar names”. I think theyre funny. (And they says us young people are offended by everything). Im turned off when I see the same shades of brown for the millionth time.
I tend to not get very excited by skincare and haircare, false eyelashes, mascaras (I’m going to be allergic to most of them), or complexion products (unless I see that they have a huge shade range, and so might have something I can wear).
I don’t get excited by launches from or collaborations with people who I find to be racist or treat their customers poorly.
I’m usually not terribly excited by all neutral collections, but that depends on execution.
Muted colors, red eyeshadow, liquid lipsticks, nude lips, and bronzer collections are super easy for me to ignore, because they don’t look good on me at all. I wish the beauty industry wasn’t so heavily influenced by trends and focused on releasing high quality, permanent products in a wide variety of shades, opacity levels, and finishes.
Cream products for face and eyes, brow products, and foundation. Not even on my radar (although I now have one cream highlighter from Milk that I do enjoy, when my mood is right!).
