Is this a one-shot deal? Like, can I place two orders? I know I can share with one friend so I could share it with myself (sounds so selfish on elections day), but I’d rather genuinely, you know, share it.
Yep, if you’re a VIB, you can make as many orders as you’d like from Nov 8-12. The one-time limitation only applies to the code given to your friend.

Without a doubt, Viridian!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I say this as someone who has wanted (and plans to get) Scarab for a while now. BTW, Caress is one of the only nail varnishes I’ve ever owned which cracked on me with weird, little fault lines. Like an earthquake, spreading out over my nails. Every.SINGLE.Time. With or without base or top coat. I finally gave up and returned it.

I got mine in the mail this afternoon. It’s a very thick white card with a silver snowflake on it & VIB in red. Very pretty! My only problem is that I can’t decide what to order since I keep going back and forth on the Vice palette. Ultimately, I think I’m going to pass on it. I’ve concluded I need to stick mainly to mattes. But, assuming I can control myself from buying even more perfume (kinda a dubious proposition these days. I don’t know if you’ve tried LORAC, but the PRO palette has 8 matte & 8 shimmer shades. The mattes are so buttery and pigmented, and are worth taking a look at. It hasn’t been in stock for a while, but I may bite the bullet and order online for this sale.
I bought the UD Vice palette a few weeks ago, and I haven’t even touched it yet. I have no regrets, though, as I know I’ll use at some point.
I really really like the looks of the Lorac palette. It’s a good texture contrast to UD Vice. Once you find your way to your Vice palette, let me suggest a few shadows that have surprised me. Ones that look nice enough in their pan, but are just amazing on and have more depth than you would expect:
Rapture, Occupy and Armor. All are super on neutral skin too.
I haven’t tried LORAC and I’m very hesitant to buy blind for a brand I’ve never used before. I did give the line a look on the Sephora site and the PRO palette looks like a great deal. Not my colours, alas. As for the Vice palette, you have no idea how much I go back and forth on that. But my gut tells me that I should stay away. I got the Fun & Feminine palettes and, gorgeous as all those shades are, I truly just feel prettier in mattes.
Plus, I’ve pretty much maxxed out my budget with what’s in my shopping cart already. I think I went a bit lipstick (NARS and OCC) and nail polish (NARS, Butter London, Illamasqua) crazy. Also, the NARS Irrestiblement bronzer and some stuff for presents. Given how much I’ve spent on perfume in the last 6 weeks, I should probably not buy anything for myself AT ALL and just stick to presents. *sigh* What are you aiming for, other than that palette?
I LOVE my vice palette. I wasn’t going to get it either, but it really is gorgeous and my favorite of all the UD palettes I have gotten (including the one I made for myself)

Years latter and their still refusing to give us the option of online shopping for this. The nearest mini store is 1 hour and 30 drive the nearest full size store is an 2.15 to 3 hour drive to the GTA with whatever traffic. WAS able to use it last year either for that reason as well because what i would spend on trave JUST IS NOT worth it.

Lol. Same here…I got tired of holding off my shopping waiting for their sale. And I think the sales I ended up taking advantage of actually helped me save a lot more money then I would’ve if I’d held out for Sephora. Definitely really glad I didn’t wait (plus the customer service at a certain Sephora competitor was so great I am more than happy to give them my money).
Finally! I’ve been looking foward to this email for days. It’s great that Sephora didn’t place any limitations on which products can or cannot be purchased at the discounted price!
Here are the answers to some of the FAQs that many people have been asking:
1. As the primary VIB account holder, you can make as many purchases as you’d like (both in-store and online) between Nov. 8-12 and receive the 20% discount.
2. If you choose to bring a friend to a physical store, he/she can only receive the 20% discount if both of you go on the 8th of November.
3. However, if you choose to instead email your code to a friend, he/she can use that code for one online purchases between Nov. 8-12 and receive the 20% discount.
4. Now, the good news is that (and I confirmed this with my local store manager) you can do both #2 and #3. So for example, you can bring say Erin with you on the 8th to a physical store, and you can also email an online-only code to Rachel; both will get the discount!
I hope that clears up some confusion, and make sure to read the other comments for more information! Happy Shopping!

What if you haven’t received the email with the link to send the VIB code to a friend? I’ve only become a VIB within the last week so I’m not sure if that’s an issue. No emails or physical mail notifications about this even though I subscribe to their newsletters…
Well, if your online account says that you’re a VIB (it’s displayed right next to your points), then at least you’ll be able to get the 20% discount.
As for the friends issue, I’d recommend calling the VIB Hotline and asking them. Give them your account number and see whether or not an email was sent to the address associated with the account. If not, ask if a code can be sent out to you because each one is unique; it’s a series of numbers and letters.
Finally, I’m pretty sure you can still take a friend to a physical store today and receive the 20% discount. š

Why bother when Beauty.com is having the same sale without having to be a VIP member at all? They carry the same brands too.

It is increasingly frustrating that Sephora continues to alienate their Canadian customers. Improvements have certainly been made over the last few years (for example, free shipping for orders over $75 now instead of $120), but offers like this still show the gaps in their services. I live in a Canadian city with two Sephoras, and I am lucky enough to be able to take advantage of this offer in-store, but I simply cannot understand why other Canadian VIBs cannot shop online and recieve the same discount. We already pay much higher prices despite our dollar being at or near par for years now; Sephora should be able to extend the same event offer to us as our American counterparts. That being said, I am looking forward to picking up a new perfume in this sale!
I completely agree. I’m lucky enough to have two sephora’s within 15 mintues from where I live. But most of the things I was looking forward to buying aren’t in stock at the stores. Shoppers Drugmart/Murale has a better reward program anyway.

I just received mine today but I’m pretty sure that the code is just celebrate. however when you checkout you have to be logged into a vib account to take advantage of the sale or have a friend send the code to your email. hope i helped!

its an extra code you get with your regular celebrate code tracy. =]
Tracy, yes the extra code for you to share with a friend should be a combination code of letters and numbers. You as the VIB member should have the code “celebrate”. Hope this helps! If you do have that extra code, I would be very grateful if you would share it with me! I’ve been wanting to buy some stuff for a while but it can be expensive so the discount will help alot!
