Anastasia’s holiday collection includes a new eyeshadow palette, two lip sets, and eight loose glitters (and a glitter adhesive sold separately). My palette did arrive with one shade broken, which the brand has already processed a replacement for, but it’ll be another week or so before it arrives. I’ll update images of the palette and Pearl when I do receive, though. The collection is available through the brand now, but it will be available online at other retailers on October 9th and in stores on October 12th. Here are swatches!

HA – this all becomes available on MY birthday! I’m sad about that palette – it looks like some of those shadows, including the one that seems to have exploded, aren’t that great. I really wish ABH would release a palette that works for me and with good quality throughout.

Why do suddenly feel the urge to pull out my old UD Naked 2 palette along with some single e/s’s and go to town?!?
I do love this palette. Neutral, veering cool, but not *too* cool. Yet, I will wait for your review as well as the dupe list before buying it, as I’ve got a feeling that this is very easily duped. Then again, maybe not.

I wasn’t moved by pix of the palette at all, could muster no interest whatsoever and literally thought “Meh.”

But your swatches have made me look again! Steampunk and Cinder are gorgeous and I really like the cooler mattes. I skipped Soft Glam and Norvina but I may have to get this one…

You look great Christine! Good job! That said, I’m not biting on this palette, just won’t do much for me colorwise. To my surprise though, I really like the metallic liquid lippies! And I rarely ever go for pink , but it looks too cute on. I may have to give ABH a try on the lip products.

I’m intrigued/ inspired by the coral shade as a crease shade against all these bronzes. I won’t be running out to buy the pallette, but I like the idea.

I don’t understand why people are so excited about everything ABH does, this is just Naked 2 with a pop of coral. But everyone declutters Naked 2 and rushes to buy this Unique palette….

So many beautiful collections. I must find a way of saying no.. This is not bc the are lacking in any way but bc finances are limited.
This from a person who gets paint books from paint manufacturers bc I love color.
I hate to say no.

I definitely plan to buy the glosses and possibly the liquid lips. I’m kinda over liquid lips but those are really intriguing. I think I might be the last person on earth to try ABH liquid lips. Obviously phantom is gorgeous but bold colors scare me. However, I really like blizzard. I kept checking and rechecking the description because I thought it was a gloss.

I do so love the ABH palettes. I was going to skip this one but it looks great on you so now i’m tempted! Your skin looks amazeballs Christine! Can I be cheeky and ask what foundation/powder/blush you are wearing in these photos?

I’m actually far more drawn to this palette than I thought at first glance; I like 75% of the swatches.

The liquid lips are a bigger draw for me. I’ve been wanting to break free of my typical nude lip and find a darker hue for winter, which for someone who doesn’t do “red”, this is a beautifully rich Bordeaux shade.
The Mai Tai is right up my alley, but reminds me a bit of my Jouer Papaya Lip Creme.

Alecto Avatar

The eyeshadow seems fairly basic with a pop of color, but these are actually pretty interesting choices in shadows — I think the average makeup wearer would find this challenging (that’s not a thumbs-down from me, just thinking “out loud”).

Phantom reached into my chest and tore my heart out. I vowed to never buy an ABH matte liquid lipstick because I’ve literally never seen them look good on anyone (though having said that, Mai Tai seems fine). I’m so desolate!

Phantom is lovely and I await your review of it. Otherwise, I’m bummed that Sultry is as cool as Norvina was purple (i.e. aside from like three shades: it’s not). Oh well. Another skip!

BM Aurora is far more cool. Muse has a review up. My thoughts were they mostly took some BM neutrals and moved them a step cooler. Lots of light shades, some purple leans. There are a couple or three actual colors: dark blue, dark green, a gold. Haven’t used it much so far, but I think it will be a workhorse for me.

This palette looks so useful for me! But I just bought two Colourpop eye palettes (Disney and Good Sport) yesterday and I bought the Emily Edit Wanted palette last week. On the other hand, I have a Sephora gift card that still has money on it. But on the other hand, I only have two eyes and too many palettes! What to do?!

I love some of the names in this palette, especially Dystopian and Cyborg. What is the texture of the packaging? It doesn’t look like ABH’s normal velvety texture.

M Avatar

Oops, I think the above comment of mine was supposed to go under another comment.

As for your question, Seraphine, it’s uh… How do I say… Tacky embedded glitter with a rough outer surface?

Anastasia Beverly Hills…She broke the ranks with her Gorg Renaissaince Palette! Who had ever seen those luscious reds….\?
However it started a palette race that challenged us as consumers to buy the latest and most covetable beauty colors. I loved the fact that Top Shelf Lux Brands stuck by their products at first.
And then BLAM every few weeks was a new introduction by brands, including Anastasia.
Quality vs Quality…..Even Pat McGraff’s palettes are no Real treasure…I’m sorry…Her shadows flake like snowflakes a la dry scalp….
Do These companies believe we are gullible? and will continue to inundate the beauty market? And assume we are willing to shell out moderate – high dollars for sh*t formulas… Exclusivity ….Slow this market down!

This is a perfect example of a palette I 100% DO NOT NEED but I want it anyway. (I couldn’t pull off the coral, and I know if I looked hard enough I could match most of the other shades in my drawer full of palettes. That does not stop me from thinking it looks cool and I’d totally wear it.)

Z Avatar

Pearl, Rose Quartz, and Bloom aside I like the palette well enough. The bottom row in particular strikes my fancy. But I effin hate pink eyeshadow and never wear it (will happily wear red, though), so that makes this a bit of a miss for me as I basically have all the other shadows somewhere in my collection. Also I agree with some others that the palette feels like a collection of leftovers.

Phantom is completely my jam and if it’s sold separately I’ll happily pick that up!
