Picked up Chanel Complice and Caractere yesterday. I wanted the blush from the Fall collection as well, but the counter I went to was sold out. I’m wearing both today and I can guarantee you that I’ll be going back for more from this collection.

Haul: Hourglass Extreme Sheen Lipgloss in LUSH, butter LONDON Flawless Basecoat, Rosebud Perfume Co. Strawberry lip balm. I also took advantage of last weekend’s sephora VIB gift. It was a cluth that included travel size samples of Murad Intensive-C Radiance Peel, Algenist overnight Restorative Cream (HG LOVE), POREfessional, Smashbox Photofinish Hydrating Primer, L’Occitane Shea Butter hand cream, Sephora Instant Moisturizer, some type of Lancome mascara, and an uber sweet Hanae Mori EDT that I assume is the “butterly” scent.
Weekend Plans: It’s supposed to rain all weekend and I’m super bummed we can’t go out to the beach or the park 🙁

■Haul: I’ve actually been buying a lot of makeup books lately. I bought Makeup Makeovers in 5,10,15 and 20 minutes: Expert Secrets for Stunning Transformations on my kindle last night, and I bought another book by Scott Barnes that arrived the other day. Sadly, I have to return a brush I bought on Amazon.com from DermStore because they advertised it as synthetic when it was made of squirrel. I also ordered some brushes from Hourglass about a week ago that I’m still waiting for to arrive. Lastly, I ordered the LORAC PRO Star Eye Tutorial kit that comes with a double sided synthetic brush. I love Lorac and have been really impressed with their new PRO line. I love the eyeshadow palette, and the cheek stain from it.

■Haul: It was my birthday on Wed, and I received a bunch of promo codes in my inbox. I figured I’d splurge. Nail polishes from American Apperal. Nail polish, foundation, perfume and maybe a lippie from Illamasqua. Nail polish from Zoya (If you have an account with them check your promo codes! Buy 1 and get 1 free. Limit 4). Maybe a few nail polishes from Target, Walgreen’s and Sally’s. Get my birthday goodie from Sephora and take a look at Anastasia’s water-proofing gel for mascara and perhaps pick up a few items. I think that is about it.
■Weekend plans: Shopping!! Spend time with my bestie and the usual SLEEP! LOL!

I just went to Wal-mart with my co-worker and picked up 3 OPI polishes in the hair salon (Smartstyle) for $9.21. They had a special on some OPI polishes … buy 3 get 2 free. I got Shatter The Scales, My Private Jet and Number One Nemesis.

Thank you so much Miss J 🙂 I didn’t really do much. Friday after work ended a friend invited me for drinks. I did some online shopping tonight and tomorrow I am feeding the homeless and hungry. I like quite birthdays. I am getting older and partying it up, getting stinkin’ drunk just doesn’t excite me any more.
Anywho, hope your weekend went well. It’s been raining, thundering and lightening on and off the past 4 hours. I am going to light a candle, watch some Hulu and hunker down under the covers 🙂
HAUL: Woohoo! My Guerlain Rouge G L’Extrait lippies arrived this week!! and I love lurve them!!!!! I can’t decide on a favourite. Their cheery brightness and durability have me so impressed. I’ve tested 3 shades so far: Gourmandise, Paresse, and Colere. Paresse is really pretty and a great day shade, but Gourmadise and Colere knock it out of the park for me. I wore Colere for 12 hours yesterday and the wear is fantastic with gradual fading and the lip becoming more matte looking. The lipstick wore off a bit on the inside of my lips only after drinking water all day long and eating dinner. By the time I removed my makeup..late.. around 11:00 p.m., I still would not have been embarrassed to go out without touching up my lipstick. Oh, and yesterday was HOT and I spent most of the day in the swather in the field cutting hay. Hell yes, I even wear lipstick farming!!! The brighter the better!

Haul: My Nordstrom order came in! ETK shadows in 24-28, Burberry Cameo #2 lipstick (so disappointed–amazing color payoff and longevity, but I found it drying). Also just placed an order for two of the new LE black Armani eyeliners, a refill of my Chanel Perfection Lumiere, and Burberry Blossom blush (so excited!) Since I’m on the hunt for a lipstick in the same shade as cameo but more moisturizing, what is the most moisturizing lipstick formula you’ve encountered? Are of the Rouge G’s good or only some?
Weekend plans: Goodbye party for a friend who’s moving back to Britain. Prepping to return to my *hopefully* last year of grad school!

Haul: Origins Starting Over Eye Cream (and a makeup bag full of deluxe samples from Sephora….many thanks, Sephora!); Pur Minerals 4 in 1 mineral powder foundation – I needed a new one and it was such a good value to get the “showstopper” which includes a large face wash (I like this stuff and use it at the gym a lot); mascara, some lip gloss and liner, a cream eye shadow, mascara and some other stuff. I think that’s it.
Weekend plans: it’s a busy one as my younger son has had a friend staying from Mtl. and we have to get him to the train; hubby is golfing, we’re going to a bbq; I have to get a gift for a friend, make a dessert for the bbq and fit in 3 yoga classes I’ve booked. I’ll need the yoga to relax from all the other stuff…

It’s old. I looked up some swatches afterwards when trying to decide if I should go back for Ingenue and apparently, there was a Winter Soirée collection that came out in Sept. 2011 or so. But lots of bloggers are talking about it now because of the identical nature of the new Zoya nail varnish. I got Orly’s Oui, too! So gorgeous. I can’t wait to put it on. I agree, it looks like an exact dupe for the Zoya Daul. I almost got Orly’s Ingenue as well but thought I better cool it with the nail varnishes. Plus, I wasn’t sure about the more coppery-pink aspect at the time. Now though, I think I may go back for that, though there was only one left, or else get the Zoya Faye that they say is a dupe for it if it’s sold out.
I know we don’t talk about OPI here, but It’s My Year is a dupe for Orly’s Oui/Zoya Daul. As for Zoya Faye (dupe for Orly’s Oui), I fell in love after I saw the swatches here, and I ran over to the nearest store and stalked them for 2 whole weeks until their shipment arrived. It’s one of my favourite nail polishes now, but I think I like Daul more because it’s less pink/coppery and I have a tendency to lean towards cooler colours.
There’s no censorship of OPI! 🙂 In fact, I’m always quite happy when a reader can suggest an OPI dupe since I’m not familiar with the brand!

Yes! Madrague is *beautiful*, not only in color, but the texture & pigmentation is superb. It’s also a serious work-horse, and works with just about any other shadow.
Haul: Nothing. I’ve been busy running around, trying to procure paperwork to enroll my daughter in school (they require 2 utility bills, plus one piece of personal mail, and yet not one person asked me for photo ID…), as we moved less than 2 weeks ago. I’m also still trying to finish unpacking.
Plans: Finish unpacking & reorganizing, sleep in (hopefully), and laundry. We’re also going to the park just up the street in a little while.
Text or email: Neither; I much prefer “in-person” communications. However, if I’m meeting up with someone, or I’m out and get separated from my party, I like a quick text indicating ETA, location, etc.

I did get the enrollment done, yesterday, thank goodness, but it was such a PITA! We moved *literally* less than 5 miles away, but it’s technically a different city, with a different school district, and therefore different “rules”. I just found it amusing that they were so insistant that I have reams of paperwork to prove my address, yet noone asked me to prove I was the *name* on said paperwork!
The unpacking part is pretty much done, now I just have to organize it in such a way that is conducive with my OCD. I actually have more than 2X the amount of space I had previously, so I don’t have to worry about “rotating” my wardrobe, but at the same time I need some sort of order.
It sounds exhausting but the worst must be behind you now, so hopefully, you’ll get the chance to rest a little this weekend. Did you get the uniforms? Is she excited? Have your new appliances and TV all arrived?
Haul: More Nfu Oh nail polish and some cuticle remover(I’ll get those buggers yet!) and a Color Club Nail polish too.
Weekend Plans: MOAR CLEANING!! RAWR. I swear this house has never been cleaned… and you can’t sell this thing without getting rid of all this crud. At least that basement is done and most of the main floor.

Haul: Got my Inglot order yesterday as well! Yum yum… my lovely 20 palette. Would’ve loved to get more but it’s more pricey in Canada. Also my Tarte stuff arrived (had to get a friend to order it from the States), got 2 blushes and the inner rim liner. Bought the new Kat Von D shade shifter eyeshadow in On the Road. Picked up a few nail polishes… 2 of the limited edition orange Sephora ones on clearance, 2 of the Tokidoki glitter polishes on clearance, 4 random OPI polishes on clearance at Chatters, 2 Wet N Wild Chromes, and Wet N Wild Megalast in Refresh-Mint. My order from South Korea also arrived (wow bought so much stuff), which included a Lioele brow pencil and Skin79 oriental gold bbcream. Last but not least, bought a clarisonic set that came with the Mia 2 and boscia stuff. Bye bye pay check.
Weekend Plans: Work… and house work. Ew. But I made Tiramisu yesterday, so it should be ready tonight! Mmmm…

Yes I filled it right away, because I just needed to use it the very day I got it. So far I’ve used about 8 of the colours and I’m loving them. I mostly bought matte and DS colours (I have way too much frosty and sparkly eyeshadows from UD as it is), and though they do take a little more work to blend, they are quite soft and pigmented. I haven’t done the swatches on my arm yet so I don’t know which is my favourite… I can’t wait to see your new swatches (if you decide to do them) so I can put together a wishlist for my second palette!
According to something I saw on FB yesterday, dog head tilts are like kryptonite: they render humans utterly helpless. 🙂
Haul: I’ve been trying to be very good to save up for the NARS Warhol collection which, judging by your post today, I need to save up even MORE for! I just got London Butter (yes, I know it’s Butter London) nail polish in Chancer (crimson glitter), Zoya in FeiFei (Yay!), Orly Oui nail polish, Bare Escentuals/Minerals Natural Lipgloss in Raspberry Truffle & Sugared Strawberry. You know how much I normally HATE lipgloss so I think that says something about these. (Best one is still Sugared Plum though, though I think the Birthday Cake one that I plan to get next may rival that.)
Weekend plans: Work. Hang out a little with my sister Saturday. And read “The Shoemaker’s Wife” for my book club. Oh, and contemplating if I should dye my hair that Feria purplish-shimmered black.

Alas, the Feria shimmery violet black hair is out. I have never — EVER — seen a whole page of 1-lipstick ratings on Makeupalley. Until now…. People begging (begging!) others not to try it, posts filled with rage, and repeated stories of $100+ visits to the salon to fix the random, blotchy patches of magenta, purple and pink, especially on the scalp. (Fried hair and texture, too.) Cherry Kool-Aid hair does not sound like a fun way to give myself a little break and change. lol

I recently went to Las Vegas and was ecstatic when I found the Inglot store there (I’m from Canada, where there’s only one city in the whole country that has Inglot, and the website doesn’t ship to Canada). Only got a 3-pan freedom palette, but when I came home I started going through all your Inglot swatches and started writing down all the numbers of the shades I want so I know exactly which ones I want next time I happen to be in a city with Inglot!
Not sure yet! We will see how it goes 🙂

The prices differ from that of the States… from my previous purchase, I would say that freedom-palette items are about 10% more, and everything else is about 20-25% more. I think shipping is $5 for Quebec and Ontario, or free over $100ish… everywhere else (I ordered from western Canada), it is free shipping over $150. Hope this helps!

INGLOT SWATCHES PLEASE!!!
Haul: I ordered OCC Lip Tar in Nylon and a lip brush from Illamasqua. The package is supposed to arrive today, and I am SO excited to whip out Nylon for tonight! I’m interested to try this lip brush from Illamasqua since it’s small and has a tapered point like a lot of concealer brushes; I’m still shaking my head that I spent close to $30 on a lip brush…that’s just really ridiculous to me, but whatever. I’m also excited for my goodies because I got Coach Poppy Flower as a 100 point perk. BUT…mostly I’m just going out of my mind waiting for that crazy loud and gorgeous CYY dupe!
Weekend plans: Going out tonight and (possible) mini road trip tomorrow.

I don’t mind email, but too often I find that I just stare at the screen thinking then all of a sudden a half hour has passed without realizing, which then most of the time just causes me to give up, LOL. OR…I will end up REALLY chatty and write a novel, which always makes me feel bad for the other person on the receiving end. I HATE talking on the phone, so that is like the last option EVER. I avoid it as much as possible.

So, here was something interesting/odd about my package: It surprised me with a 500 point perk that I did not select (It’s a full size POREfessional and a mini/sample of They’re Real), and it was not deducted from my points. The other weird thing, two of the other samples feel like they are empty/full of air. WEIRD. Even my Lip Tar felt more air filled than I remember a new one feeling. :/ SO BIZARRE. I’m going to chalk the extra freebie up to a mistake that makes up for the weirdness of the other samples/products.
Also, how do I remove some sticky gunk off the OCC tube without damaging the package/product? I’m scared to squeeze to hard and cause the product to leak into the cap.

Lol, yes, it was one of those super annoying bar code stickers. I’ve never had one that came like that, so must be something Sephora’s doing on the packaging. Bar code stickers/sticky residue from bar code stickers just drives me nuts, haha. 🙂

I use Goo Gone for sticky messes. My mum uses lighter fluid. Lighter fluid stink and Goo Gone has an orange smell to it.

The mini road trip was just going to be to visit family and shop out of my city, but I can’t fall asleep for the life of me, so I’m thinking it ain’t gonna happen, LOL. Also, the furry one does like cars…the words bye-bye and car ride both mean the same to him, and he gets ridiculously excited at both. As for the lip brush, I already own two, but I wanted something that was larger, but still precise. With bright/dark lipsticks, I have to use a brush to get a clean line since I have sort of a scarred, uneven bottom lip line from a childhood accident. CYY = Candy Yum Yum (It’s a neon, barbie pink from MAC that I missed out on both times it came out). OCC Nylon is supposed to be a good substitute. My mom’s reaction to it was: That…is…*very* PINK. Hahaha.

Haul: Fresh Advanced lip therapy (I now have two), Dior Addict Extreme in Avenue (I forget if I mentioned Cruise last week, but I have that one now too, bringing my total up to five Addict Extremes.) Also a couple of the new Maybelline Color tattoo eyeshadows.
Weekend Plans: I’m actually in NJ visiting my parents for the week, which is why I haven’t been around here. Tomorrow I’m going to the mall to check out the Inglot store (woohoo!) and Sunday I’m not sure what we’re doing.

I hope you’re having a blast back home! And I’m so excited to hear about your Inglot store visit. Envious, too. I’d love to see them in person. I know you wanted the various eyeshadow pans, so hopefully, you’ll be able to get some great colours and then come back and report to us. Which Maybelline Tattoo Pots did you get?
I picked up Barely Beige and one other I can’t remember at the moment, some kind of gold or bronze or copper color. I’ll check when I get home and let you know. I’m hoping to get a 10-pan palette at Inglot, but we’ll see. The husband will be with me and he’s iffy on my spending money 🙁
Haul: I bought MAC brush and mascara as a birthday, engagement, christmas present and received a MAC Querry refill and Pearlglide Insentse Eye Liner in Designer Purple in return.
Weekend plans: Meeting one of my girls for dinner and drinks and another girlfirend for coffee tomorrow.
