Eep. It’s my busy-in-the-office-before-8am day, so nothing and nothing. My employer can have me in the office before 8am or presentable, but not both. Normally, I’m a mascara and lipstick with a lengthy skin care routine.
My skin tone is NC25/NC30.
I’m wearing Too Faced Lip Insurance before lipstick and while it does prolong the wear of lip color, it doesn’t prevent feathering. As to color, I’ve been wearing Chanel Rouge Coco in Rose Dentelle a lot.
Eye product of the moment: Maybelline Color Tattoo in Pomegranate Punk, it’s great for day and night.
Face products: Benefit’s That Gal primer, because it feels and smells wonderful and I don’t like silicone based primers; and since it’s winter where I live and winters are very very dry, I’m wearing Chanel Vitalumiere liquid foundation, which for me is too rich to be worn in hot weather but great for winter.

I’ve been dying to ask someone else who’s using the Giorgio Armani Maestro. How are you liking it? I recently got mine and I get mixed feelings about it. I’m more on the normal/dry skin category. I’m having doubts IF it’s the one drying my cheeks. I’d hate to find out if it’s the one!

Hi Abigail, it might be the foundation unfortunately, I’ve read a few blogs of people with dry skin and they have complained that this clings to dry patches :(.
I have combination/oily skin and its working very well for me.

I love the dry oil concept but that’s exactly what it did, clinging to some dry patches! I just tried the Maestro with the Regenessence, and so far so good. But I’ll have to see how long and how well it wears together throughout the day.
Have you tried the Luminous Silk at all? What other GA foundations are you liking so far?
Hi Abigail! I have the Luminous Silk and the Designer Lift, I really like the Luminous Silk especially when the weather gets cold and my skin starts to get a little drier, you probably will prefer Luminous Silk for your dry skin.

I do enjoy the Luminous Silk too. Right now, I’m a 6.5 in LS and 7 in Maestro. At first I was told I can wear the same shade across all formulas and then I was matched differently (?) Ayy! Do you wear your Armani foundations all in the same shade?
Also, how different are the Maestro, Luminous Silk and Designer Lift from each other? Which is your favorite so far? I’ve been curious about the Designer/Designer.
I was told that the Maestro provide *very little coverage, do you agree? While the LS is sheer to light but buildable (which I agree).
Forgive me if this is too much, I’m just glad to chat with someone who’s using these. =)
Hi Abigail, I wear the Maestro and LS in the same shade #12, the DL I wear in 11.5. The both differ in soo many ways, the texture, wear time etc, Maestro is a lot more long wearing. it’s hard to choose one over the other, LS has always been one of my top 5 foundations, I will have to go with LS since I haven’t tested Maestro in the winter yet.

Are you able to build/layer the Maestro? The MUA showed me to make it sheer, rub it unto skin. To build, just dab. I love the feel of the Maestro because it’s just so light (truly like skin when it’s set) but I want to build it just a little more. How do you do yours? Fingers, brush, buff? The texture is quite tricky.
Do you set yours with powder?
I’m loving the Maestro foundation, and honestly, it’s taken me years to find something I love. I have normal-to-dry skin, so to make sure I don’t have any problems, I apply the foundation shortly after my serum and moisturizer. I’ve also found that this helps me be able to spread it a bit better, rather than the oils evaporating right away and leaving me with to much pigment in one place.
I’m different shades in Armani, but 5 in Maestro and Luminous Silk. I really want to hear more about the Maestro concealer. I’ve read reviews that say it’s making imperfections disappear in a few days! (Discoloration.) Any thoughts?
