What makeup do you have on your desk?
What makeup do you have on your desk? (Or nightstand, table, other surface… and if you have no surfaces, bag!) Share!
On my desk, I have a few Dior and Guerlain lipsticks, Bobbi Brown lipglosses, Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Intense Eyeshadows, Jack Black Lip Balm, Jack Black Hand Healer, La Mer Hand Cream, and Guerlain Blush Duos.
Do you have a question idea? Submit yours here.
Less than I did a week ago, because I cleaned it off. I have: Fresh Sugar lip treatment in original and Plum tinted, two Revlon Super Lustrous lipglosses I don’t really like, Shiseido Perfect Rouge in RD304 (Sweet Pea, bought entirely because of this blog), Jack Black lip balm, a sample of Laura Mercier mascara, Tarte concealer, FAB Ultra Lip Repair (I love it but it doesn’t last very long), some random samples, UD Naked 2 palette, and (just added today) NARS Joie de Vivre cheek palette. Oh, and a sample of Fresh Hesperides scent. I also have the Sephora + Pantone shades of nature eye brush set hanging out on my desk, I don’t know why. (I bought them because I didn’t have eye brushes. So far they seem okay.) In terms of hand lotion, I have Bliss High Intensity hand cream, Clarins hand and nail cream, and CND almond hydrating lotion.Â
…and that’s *less* than I had previously. Oy. (It takes up less room than you’d think, but my desk is cluttered to say the least.)
@blueraccoon It gives me such great joy to see NARS on one of your lists. <grin>Â
@Kafka Hee! I will respond to your thoughts about the palette via email if that is acceptable? I didn’t want to keep spamming the blog with long comments.
@blueraccoon Hope you’re liking the blush palette! Also, I believe it was you I was talking about pink-toned highlighters a while back. You said you had Dior Rose Diamond, but hadn’t tried it, right? Have you tested it out, yet?
@Miss J – I am liking the blush palette! Short version, I like all the colors except I’m not sure about Laguna and Gaiety is giving me pigmentation issues – it’s really, really pale when I swatch it. Like I’m piling it on and it’s not building up much at all. But I like the color, so I’ll work with it, and I’m pale enough I think I can make it work for me.
As for Rose Diamond, I haven’t had a chance to test it out. Maybe this weekend?
@blueraccoon Good to hear you like the palette! What is it about Laguna that makes you uncertain? I haven’t played with Gaiety much; always thought it’d be too light and too cool for me, but it is pretty to look at, lol.Â
Â
Let me how you get along with Rose Diamond when you try that out!
@Miss J – I think Laguna may be too brown or orange for me and I’m afraid it’ll make me look muddy. I haven’t really tried it yet but when I swatched it on my arm I really didn’t like the way it contrasted iwth my skin at *all*.
Gaiety is…annoying. I love the color in the pan, but I have to pile it on my brush in order to get color, and it’s really, really soft and natural–which is fine, I’m not a fan of bold cheeks on me–but this just is annoying. I much prefer my Burberry Peony blush, or the Rose Initiale.Â
I will definitely let you know when I get a chance to play with Rose Diamond! I’m also thinking about picking up the Luster Multiple, or maybe Copacabana, any thoughts?
@blueraccoon I figured it might be the tone of it considering it is much more of a golden-brown shade. Try it with a stippling brush when/if you do decide to try it out. My favorite bronzer is actually Guerlain’s Terracotta Bronzer. It’s pricy, but has an amazing texture and finish; plus, it comes in several shades. The even numbered shades have more of a pink/red base. If you haven’t tried their bronzers, you should give them a look.
Â
As for the highlighters… I think you may mean Luxor rather than Luster? If there is a Luster Multiple, I would squeel with glee, lol. I’m a fan of Copacabana Illuminator, but not the multiple. The liquid version seems a tinge pinker than the cream. The Multiple is a lot more silver pearl with much less pink, IMO. I like the Illuminator under foundation typically because it can be a bit shimmery on top. Luxor seems to be an icy pink. From what I remember it’s more iridescent sheen than. The Copacabana Illuminator is probably my favorite pink based highlighter.
@Miss J – lol, I totally meant Luxor, yes. I have Luster on the brain since it’s in the palette. I’ll keep the Copacabana Illuminator in mind, too 🙂 Kafka loves the Multiple, which is why I was thinking about that.
Guerlain’s bronzers are on my list of things I want but haven’t had a chance to check out in person yet. But we have a counter in Nordy’s now, so when I go there next I will swatch and see what I think. I think I wanted the Blondes 02 shade, iirc (it’s on my shopping list at Sephora) so I’ll see what I think.
On my bedside table: Body Shop Vitamin E face mist, Heel Tastic Intensive Heel Care, Aveeno Intense Relief Hand Cream, Jason Aloe Vera 98%, Revlon Colorstay blemish concealer [why is that by my bed?], Olay Complete moisturizer, Â Burt’s Bees beeswax lip balm, and Jack Black lip balm (Black Tea & Blackberry).
And that’s just one tiny table! Maybe I should tidy up…
None, all my makeup (save my Jack Black Balm, which is in my purse) is in my dresser 😛
Fun question! This is a “what’s on my dresser” (I’m only going off memory):
Â
Sample jar filled Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Primer
Sample jar filled with MUFE HD Foundation 120
Sample Jar filled with MAC Pro Longwear Concealer NC15 (I think)
MAC Pro Longwear Concealer NC15
MUFE Face & Body Foundation #32
NARS Sheer Glow Foundation Gobi
MAC MSF Natural in Light and Light Medium
MAC Sculpt/Shape Duo in Sculpt/Accentuate
MAC Golden Kitty/Primpin’ Blush Duo
MAC Peachykeen Blush
MAC Dollymix Blush
Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer
MAC Prep + Prime Translucent Powder
BE Well Rested
Hourglass No 28 Primer Serum
MAC Fix+
MAC Mixing Medium Waterbased
That Age-Rewind Concealer in the pink tone…
Â
Um…probably a whole shit ton more.
Â
@Miss J good memory!
@Miss J Â What do you think of the MUFE #120? Close in colour to you? Â I can’t recall if it was 117 or 120 that I’d mentioned to you as a possible colour match. Or maybe it was to Wwendalynne. Â Perhaps it was both of you. LOL.
@Kafka I was previously wearing #117, but I felt it was too light/creamy. I believe you suggested I take a look at #120 and #127 since I was having to mix with #123. I thought #127 was a tad too dark for my face, and #120 is actually a pretty good match. If it was a touch darker, it’d probably be perfect, but I’m used to bronzing up post foundation anyway; I always sweep a light dusting over forehead, nose, cheeks, chin, neck, chest, and shoulders. I find it ties everything together since my color fluctuates so much.
@Miss J   Ah, okay, I’ve sorted out now what I recommended to whom. LOL.  I’m glad the 120 is working out for you. Do you prefer the feel, coverage, look and texture of the MUFE HD to the NARS Sheer Glow?
@Kafka I much prefer the NARS Sheer Glow. I had a problem with MUFE HD looking too flat/mask-like on me for day-to-day wear. I do like the HD for nights out, though.
@Miss J  I concur. Sheer Glow is fabulous and really my favorite foundation that I’ve tried thus far, but I think I’d reach for the MUFE if I had a very important or formal night out because of how full the coverage is.  It gives a bit more of a flawless look.  Then again, I think my skin looks prettier with the Sheer Glow, so on second thought…. lolÂ
@Kafka That is my exact thought process, too. HD is fuller and almost airbrushed looking, but I think Sheer Glow just looks so much better on me, so I usually go with that. I have to put in a lot more work with the HD to bring my face back to life, so I guess it’s alright when I want to wear really full face of makeup, but overall I like the Sheer Glow better because it makes my skin look like skin. I like that it’s not particularly dewy, but it’s not matte. It just makes my face look soft and satiny.
Â
I have to say it again, but OMG, I am in love with Outlaw! I put Deep Throat on the other day (used to be my #1 favorite), and I didn’t have that “OMG! I feel so pretty!” feeling. It was weird. I kept looking in the mirror to try to ascertain what was bugging me. It still looked good. Did Outlaw just outdo all of my other NARS blushes, lol?! I think it may have.
I’ve been cataloging my nail polish collection, so all of them are on my vanity. Â
Only my brushes are on my desk !
@Laurence. Same! But my makeup is right beside my desk for easy access 😛
@Laurence. Same! But my makeup is right beside my desk for easy access 😛
Nightstand: Bod Paw Paw + Vanilla Lip Balm
Â
Handbag: Chantecaille Water Lily Lip Chic Hydra, Becca Vintage Jewel (Lip, Cheek and Eye) Palette, Guerlain Baume de la ferte, Clinique Superbalm Lip Treatment, two Travalos (L’Artisan Parfumeur Timbuktu and Serge Lutens Vetiver Oriental).
Â
I don’t have a dresser (currently on a business trip), and most of my makeup and beauty products are in the bathroom, which is where I dress and do my makeup.
Great question!
Â
I use an antique desk from the early 1900s for my makeup. Â On that desk I have the following:
– Lighted makeup mirror with regular and 10X magnification
– Sephora decorative Moroccan Sunrise lighted train case, which has 4 drawers and holds my go to pigments, paint pots and MUFE aqua creams
– A decorative file folder that holds 8 MAC 15-pro palettes and a few large Z palettes
– My entire Hakuhodo brush collection in a swivel desktop organizer that provides easy access to the brushes I need with a quick spin (kind of like a lazy susan)
Â
I believe that’s it. The desk has a lap drawer, which holds my go to blushes, highlighters, a Guerlain quad, Dior quint, eyebrow/lash tools, eyeliners, mascara, Kevyn Aucoin SSE, MUFE camouflage palette, my Benefit blushes, special singular eyeshadows and a Beauty Blender sponge.
Â
The other six drawers hold overflow eyeshadow palettes, highlighters, foundation, facial cream, back up products I know I’ll use again and again, a drawer dedicated to samples, brushes, etc. It’s a beautiful desk that has become a wonderful home for my regular use makeup. My overflow-overflow makeup goes in two Sephora midnight full-size train cases. Â
Â
I haven’t found an ideal home for my perfumes. I keep my favorite, Guerlain Shalimar, in an organizer on the end table next to my loveseat since I spray it on before going to sleep, allowing the scent to waft into my dreams.
Â
I’m not organized by any stretch of the imagination, but I don’t want to incorporate tacky plastic bins in with my beautiful antique desk so I’m making do with what I have to maintain a satisfying aesthetic.Â
@divinem1  I do the same thing with spraying perfume on at night, hoping the scent will “waft into my dreams.”  At the very least, it relaxes me when I try to fight the insomnia. I’ve done that since I was 6 when I thought that, if I smelled really lovely, Prince Charming would come and give Sleeping Beauty (er.. me) a kiss. LOL. Â
@Kafka @divinem1 I usually take a full shower just before bed (and a quick one late morning), so out of habit (I guess) I spritz on a dab of perfume; it just makes me happy.
@xamyx  @Kafka  @divinem1 People often find it odd that I wear my perfume to bed, but I chose it because *I* love the scent, so why wouldn’t I want to treat myself?Â
@Kafka Oh, I love that childhood hope of Prince Charming and you being Sleeping Beauty. How lovely! <3
On my desk: Â a bottle of Fracas eau de toilette, NARS Transeurope Express lipstick, and my dentist’s lip balm.Â
On my dresser:  Narcisco Rodriguez “For Her,” Chloe’s “Eau de Chloé,” Cartier’s “Baiser du Dragon,” Fragonard’s “Soleil,” Hermès’ “Hermes,”  Hermès “24 Faubourg,” Carolina Herrera, Kate Spade & Givenchy’s “Ysatis.” (And that’s just what came out for this month!)
Nightstand: Jack Black lip balm, L’Occitane hand cream, Pacifica Tahitian body lotion, Ole Henriksen African Red Tea night eye cream. Â
@Kafka +1 For Fracas. I’m all about big white florals. I also own a decant of the Narcisco EDP and find it very soft and comfy smelling.Â
Â
I’m too paranoid to keep my fragrances out in the open where they can be knocked over or spoil before their time (and if I want even a fighting chance of finishing my fragrances in the next 10 years I’ll need all the help I can get to keep them from spoiling) from light! Â Â
@yellowlantern Another perfume addict! Yay, esp. for the Fracas love. It will always be one of my all-time favorites.  I hear you on the issue of finishing (or, rather, NOT finishing) the perfumes in the next 10 years. lol.  I think heat is a worse problem than even light, so I’m hoping the 69 degrees at which I keep my house will help. But if I don’t keep them out, then I’ll have NO chance of finishing them. Hell, sometimes, I go through my big armoire where I keep the majority of my perfumes and suddenly discover something I’d completely forgotten I’d owned.  So, I pretty much need to keep at least 10 out or else, they’ll never get used. LOL. What are some of your favorites, YellowLantern?
@Kafka @yellowlantern I keep my perfumes in the linen closet, that way I “see” them on a regular basis, and they’re kept away from both heat & light, as well as a 6 year old diva who is really getting into all things girly.
@Kafka In summer I love, love, love Carnal Flower. I pretty much could bathe in it and never have enough. In the winter though I find myself less drawn to it since to me it needs heat to really show it’s sultry side. I know some think it’s overrated, but for me it could never be. 🙂
Â
I actually like a LOT from Frederic Malle: Musc Ravageur (and the closely related scent by the same perfumer Le Labo Labdanum 18), En Passant (which to me evokes the image of drinking German wheat beer in an outdoor beer garden with a garden of flowers), and  Lys Mediterranee (and the similar smelling Serge Lutens Un Lys) is another summer favorite as well. Reminds me of the beach and warm weather without smelling like coconut or coppertone. Lipstick rose and Iris Poudre make me happy too though I feel a bit like I’m wearing a “sophisticated woman” costume whenever I wear them.Â
Â
I also enjoy Angel and Hypnotic Poison in moderation. As well as a few Andy Tauers and L’Artisans and well many, many others. Â
Â
Baiser du Dragon is an interesting choice for July. Is it one of those scents that you feel “opens up” in hot weather?Â
Â
@Kafka Ugh, I forgot to mention Estee Lauder Tuberose Gardenia! How could I forget such a favorite!Â
Â
Their Amber Ylang Ylang is quite nice too. Another warm and fuzzy scent.
@xamyx  @Kafka  @yellowlantern That’s a good idea! I keep mine tucked in my drawers of unmentionables and socks so I see them on a daily basis but don’t have to keep them on my dresser top. 🙂
@xamyx @Kafka @yellowlantern I store mine in a decorative hat box (at least that’s what I think they are called) that I place on top of one of my makeup bins. I do think it looks nice storing them out in the open (especially the bottles I like the most), but this keeps them out of light and away from heat while still looking nice in the room. I just put in the fragrances I’m loving as of late in there; I find the storing them out like this gives me easy access to them, but also preserves them.
@yellowlantern I love Carnal Flower!  Tuberose is my favorite flower of all time, and it sounds like you’re a fan too, esp. with the Estee Lauder. I actually haven’t smelled that one but Tuberose *and* Gardenia???!?! <faints>  I’ll definitely look that one up.  I think it’s Annick Goutal who has a lovely tuberose/gardenia scent that made me think “Wow, this is so close to Fracas!” but it might be someone else’s perfume that I smelled last time I was in Sephora.  I’ve never tried any of Serge Lutens’ things, though I’ve heard the name. I’m very impressed by your range and knowledge. And I’m definitely going to look for some of the Malle scents you mentioned, as I like the thought of a summer/coconut type of scent without the…. er… well, actual coconut and oily Coppertone. LOL!
Â
As for Baiser du Dragon, I never wear scents based on the weather. (Plus, I live in a place where the weather consists of Hot, Hotter and HELL! So, I can’t limit things due the heat outside or I’d never wear a lot of things — from colour shades in makeup to perfume. lol.) Â Most of all, for me, smell/scent is all about mood, feel and mental associations. I knew July was going to be a rough, stressful month because of the anticipated hip replacement for my furry child, so I brought out a lot of the perfumes that I associate with happy times or that make me feel extra feminine and pretty. Sometimes, we need all the help that we can get! ;DÂ
@Kafka I know what you mean about hot, hotter, hell. I just moved from Arizona, there were days it was so hot any scent make me feel sick! I definitely have scents with super happy memories and always take me away from where I am when I smell them soÂ
Â
I’m sorry about your pet, I hope he’s okay and recovering well. I definitely have scents with super happy memories and always take me away from where I am when I smell them so I understand the power of scent to make one feel positive. Â
UD Naked palette,  UD Roach eye shadow, UD Freelove eye shadow, L’Oreal Infallible Lacquer Liner  in Blackest Black, Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Liner Pencil in Black, and Nyx Lipliner Pencil in Peekaboo Neutral. 🙂
Well, nothing on my actual hardtop surfaces – I have two cats who have a tendency to swat anything to the floor that had the audacity to be in their napping areas. 😛 Everything is locked up in boxes and bins in closed up cupboards, and that includes brushes. My “portable desk” is a bag that I throw all my basics in and transition to my purse when I’m running short on time. That contains a pretty lengthy list of items, which I’ll refrain from listing for everybody’s sake.
On my work desk, I keep some products (like cuticle oil, hand cream, zit cream, eye drops, aquaphor, foot cream, and lip balm) that I use every night before bed. There is also a Nars duo (in Brousse) randomly on there. Then, there is the stuff that I am currently testing/in the middle of writing reviews for–so right now I have a few bronzers, nail polishes from Essie, a bunch of stuff from Jouer, a Chanel blush, and a primer
Just my nail polishes ( present ! ) I have to find a new box to store them, I have a small collection in fact ( 78 I think ) but a better storage would be great.
Just a lip balm and whatever I last painted my nails with…since I’d be a fool to try and get a polish back in the underbed box when my nails are wet!
I have two gift boxes stacked on my desk. They’re the Bobbi Brown gift boxes from last Christmas? If anyone knows what I’m talking about… They’re basically opaque black, about 8″ x 8″ squares, each about 2″ thick. I have my foundation samples in the top box. The bottom one has loose powder samples, and smaller “full-sized” products including my brow fillers, concealers, liners, and contour.
Â
Here’s the list of full-sized products:
MAC Sculpting Powder in Sculpt + 2 backups (Contour)
MAC Eye Brow in Spiked (Brow Definer)
Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow in Ash + 1 backup. Have two more backups stashed away somewhere (Brow Filler)
Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light to Medium Bisque (My counter friend gave me this tester. So nice of her!) (Concealer)
Lancome Maquicomplet Concealer in Clair II (Concealer)
Lancome Artliner in Noir (Lash “darkener/mascara”)
Â
Okay that was probably TMI (too much information) but eh. *Shrugs*
Shockingly few beauty items on my beside table. Â Everything is stored in my bathroom stacked in bins and in my vanity cupboard. Â I have Deborah Lippmann’s Rich Girl hand cream, Jack Black lipbalm, Allpressan foot mousse (I almost typed that moose..teehee) and a small roll on Tom Ford Jasmin Rouge, my current favourite perfume.
Â
I have more beauty ‘tools’ on my bedside table than products. Â I have hair clips, hair pins, orange stick, cuticle pusher, nail file, small pair of scissors, cuticle nippers, polysporin.
Â
I have no makeup in any purse as I change them far too frequently. Â I have a small gold makeup bag I’ve had for eons and can’t even remember where I got it. Â I keep in my bathroom with my cosmetics until I am ready to go out and then pop it in whichever bag. Â It normally has just a few basics: Â eyebrow pencil, the lipstick I chose for the day and a few lip glosses
On my actual desk, downstairs in a corner of our family room, I’ve got a tube of sunscreen (so I remember to apply to my hands and arms when I decide to leave the house), 2 Clarins Colour Quench lip balms, a tube of Avon hand cream and a tube of Carmex lip balm. Â That’s it. But I do have 4 of my “HG” MAC lipsticks and one Laura Mercier one in my kitchen drawer near to the microwave, the door of which is a serviceable mirror for applying a quick “swipe” (Craving, Plumful, Capricious and New York Apple, along with LM Healthy Lips!)
MAC Plastique l/s, MAC Sandy “B” l/s, MAC Strange Potion l/g, MACÂ Good Lovin l/g, and Stila Camera l/g.
on my desk just lipbalm (currently an Aveeno one). In my purse, a maybelline baby lips in Quench and whatever lip product I’m using that day. Everything else stays in it’s place in my bathroom 🙂
http://nineteenoone.blogspot.ca/
At work I have two things of Korres Lip butters in pomegranate and guave, a back up mascara, UD lip junkie gloss, chanel rouge coco mademoiselle (my lips but better…), and a flat brush with a basic brown shadow in case i need to fix my eyebrows. I also use one of those sample jars you get at Nordstrom’s and i put my foundation in there for emergency touch ups. I try not to keep too much at work in case i forget to lock my desk and the cleaning people go through it…i’m paranoid.
Â
My dresser is a mess. All my makeup is organized on it in shelving and boxes. I wont even bother with that.
Nightstand drawer: MAC Reel Sexy Dynamic Duo coral and rich plum combo (forgot the number), MAC Venus, MAC MSF Star Wonder, Electric Cool e/s Pure Flash and Superwatt, some Hey Sailor items. It’s just a place i stash stuff I bought and haven’t opened from the box yet. lol.
All of my makeup has it’s exact slot/space, and my OCD does not allow for anything to not be replaced at the end of the day, so nothing has been left out. I do, however, have a makeup bag that I keep my Korres Lip Butters in, and that is on my nightstand.
no makeup just my brushes
I have items on my desk that I’ve been trying to use up, so right now there’s a smashbox lipgloss in radiant, a nivea tinted lip balm, nars multiple in orgasm, rimmel blush in pink sorbet, and a body shop single eyeshadow #41. I also have some necessities, such as a bunch of lip balms and a cuticle balm from burt’s bees.
On my desk at work I have: Korres lip butter in jasmine, Origins ginger souffle body cream, a Pangea Organics lip balm, and a Maybelline baby lips!
I have a desk in my room that is strictly for my makeup collection as it has taken over everything. So all of my makeup plus Dogwood hand lotion and Imperialis moisturizer from Lush, and my sigma and ecotools brushes are on there. In my bag, I just have my MAC Blot Pressed Powder and a Revlon lip butter in Berry Smoothie, just for touchups during the day. 🙂
Too much! Â It’s mostly in my desk drawer though. Â
EOS lip balm
Carmex
Smashbox Full Exposure mascara
MAC lipstick in Venus
MAC Lipglass in Richly ReveredÂ
MAC Lip pencil in Vino
3 random Smashbox lip glosses
Smashbox Lip tech in Sangria
Rimmel lip pencil in Obsession
Smashbox Halo
GAP Vintage Vanilla roll on perfume
Flowerbomb roll on perfume
I keep a stash in my desk for when I need to look nice for the camera but didn’t come prepared. It’s just come Mac pressed powder, some liquid foundation and concealer. Then Warm Soul mineral blush, Fresh Brew lipstick, and Hot Stuff plushglass.
Mmm… All my makup is sitting on my drawers except my eos, beauty rush and nivea lipbalms
I don’t really keep much on my desk, I put most of my make up in my purse;
The things I do keep on my desk is my Sephora mirror and my lipstick, to touch up.
Currently, i’ve been using MAC’s Sail La Vie Lipstick or NYX’s Xtreme Lip Cream in Nude Peach Fuzz. 😀 Both are great summer colors
I keep my makeup mostly in the bathroom. But I do have a MAC quad with Blanc Type, Mystery, Wedge, and Satin Taupe there and MAC Venus lipstick on my desk.Â
Â
In my purse I have Neutrogena hand cream with SPF 30, Physician’s Formula Healthy Wear SPF 50 Powder foundation, Covergirl Simply Powder Foundation, Laura Mercier Lip Glace in Blush, Lipstick Queen lipgloss in Jean Queen, L’oreal Colour Riche Balm in Pink Satin, Jack Black lip balm in Vanilla Lavender, MAC Patisserie l/s, and MAC Cut a Caper l/s.Â
@yellowlantern I *love* the PF Healthy Wear powder; do you know if it’s been discontinued? I picked a couple up on clearance several months ago, as backups, but I haven’t found them since.
@xamyx  @yellowlantern I’m not sure. I’ve been looking around for a backup since it’s such an easy way to apply sunscreen on the go but it’s been hard to find in stores. Drugstore.com still has it and it’s still on the PF website so hopefully not? *crosses fingers*
I have a few in my bag right now:Â Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter: Pink Truffle, Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain + Balm: Flame, Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain + Balm: Mystical, Revlon CustomEyes Shadow + Liner: Beach Beauty. I’m kind of obsessed with Revlon right now hahahah. I also have a Slumber Parties perfume in my bag; it’s been my staple scent for two years and it’s absolutely wonderful! (:
On my desk at work I have a CO Bigelow Violet Mint Mentha Lip Tint as well as a Bath and Bodyworks Liplicious Tasty lip color in light pink (two nice options for two different looks) I also have a BBW hand santizer in “I love shoes” (strawberry scent) as well as a Boots rose cuticle oil , a small tub of lush body cream- Cocolotion, a large BBW hand cream in “Look Ma’ New Hands” and my ultimate work accessory: and Origins Sensory Therapy Aromatherapy Portable sniffer in Peace of Mind- it smells like eucalyptus and mint. I open it and inhale whenever I need to destress or calm myself. Works really well!!!
On my desk I have Oil Absorbing Blotting Sheets by Clean and Clear so I can blot off any excess shine on my face. I also have my touch up powder as well as a concealer (L’oreal True Match Powder and Bobbi Brown Concealer stick). I also keep the lip product I am using that day (Lancome La Laque Fever Gloss in Cyber Coral), a mini eyeliner and mini mascara (Lancome eyeliner and Benefit They’re Real mini mascara), bobby pins, hair ties, q-tips….etc. Also my hand moisturizer of the moment (BBW True Blue Spa Cashmere Silk hand cream).Â

i want a desk like that..
… I don’t keep makeup on my desk …
… I don’t keep makeup on my desk …
The body shop Almond hand and nail cream (which sucks, I prefer Aveda)
The body shop Almond hand and nail cream (which sucks, I prefer Aveda)
A few RBL and Dior polishes and a couple MAC palettes I just unpacked from my kit. My desk is in my makeup studio:)
All MAC: Studio Fix, Pro Longwear Concealer and Lip Gelee in Glosspitality
I don’t keep any makeup on my desk at home…and anything that’s at work is in my purse! So this is really turning into a “what’s in your bag post.” 🙂 And that would be…Lush’s Honey Trap, Mac’s Faux, and Lancome’s Rouge in Love in 322. I just switched to a new purse and these are the “essentials” that made it in! Â
I don’t keep any makeup on/in my desk…and I don’t work from a desk anymore – I work by distance and at home don’t use a formal desk anymore – no room in the tiny place I live. If I have anything by my side while I AM working, it’s typically Fresh Sugar (Coral right now) – and Jack Black Lipbalm (Grapefruit is my fav).
I don’t have a desk I work from anymore – I work by distance and my place is way toooo tiny to have a desk now days don’t need one. When I had a desk (job), I never kept any makeup in or on it. What I do keep by me while working is Fresh Sugar (Coral right now) and Jack Black Lipbalm (Grapefruit is my fav) & always within reach a glass nail file.
I don’t keep any makeup on my desk at home or work because I am a stickler for neatness, and I like for everything to be in it’s place. Â However, I always have my favorite lip combo (MAC Touch lipstick and NYX Mega Shine Gloss in Natural) along with my Carmex tube lip balm in my purse at all times! Â
I keep a makeup bag in my desk at work and today it contains: Lancome Dual Finish Powder, samples of Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion and Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss, Blistex lip cream, CoverGirl & Olay Simply Ageless Concealer, MAC Studio Finish Concealer, MAC Offshoot LS, Revlon Brow Fantasy, eyedrops, a La Roche-Posay Sunblock sample and a Bobbi Brown LS brush.
I’m too embarrassed to answer this question.  I will admit to having a 3 drawer rolling cart with a metal mesh box and a narrow pencil type of box on to- full of stuff. I have 3 small buckets, utility bins with makeup brushes in various states of use and washing; 1 for face, one for eyes, one for brushes to be washed. several -3- perfumes, several kinds of lip balms, a basket on my night stand of skincare products and another bin under my be of more skin care products. There is not enough space on the internet to list everything individually.
Â
@Susan Dowman Nevling I see nothing to be embarassed about.
I have Maybelline Baby Lips in clear, and Bath & Body Works Liplicious gloss in Paradise Pineapple. I also have CeraVe lotion that I decanted into a beautiful etched glass pump.
Burberry lip gloss and lipstick cameo, chanel lipgloss 119, burberry pressed powder trench, la mer hand cream, no5 chanel eau premiere.. Most importantly clean and clear oil control film.
i have my whole makeup collection on my vanity. it is very big
