5 Rich Brown Eyeshadows to Savor

5 Rich Brown Eyeshadows to Savor

I think richness isn’t just a really dark shade–I think it has more to do with intensity, vibrancy, and how much depth a shade can have.  These shades look so luxe to me!

  1. NARS Surabaya — two rich browns–one more yellow-toned, one more red-toned
  2. Make Up For Ever #14 — dark brown with coppery-red undertones
  3. MAC Embark — deep, dark matte red-toned brown
  4. Inglot #409 — deep brown with a golden-bronze sheen
  5. Tarina Tarantino Dreamy — deep, dark chocolate brown with ruby and gold sparkle

What’s your favorite rich brown eyeshadow?

Another staple in *any* makeup kit. While not as “harsh” as black, they are so versatile. I use them to line, contour, fill in brows, and add depth. NARS Bengali & Coconut Grove Re beutiful, but my absolute favorite lately is NARS Mekong (though the shimmers limit its uses). I actually love Mekong as a lid color, with a lighter, matte brown to blend out the edges, and mascara; simple, quick, and sophisticated.

My all time favourites are both LE shadows from MAC – Centre Stage from Peacocky and Burning Ambition (from a MES duo that seemed permanent for a long time but was discontinued within the last year or so).  I also love some of the browns from Too Faced palettes – Erotica and Sexpresso (I think both are available on their own). And I have to agree about the brown from Tarina T’s Dreamy palette.

U.D Darkhorse.  I think UD have some nice rich brown shades.  I have only explore UD for 2 years and seem to really like the brand…though I have makeup at early as 1980s.

I love Inglot #409! It applies more of a mid tone everyday brown on me, excellent for an effortless neutral eye for my skintone!

Nars Mekong is the best !
I never really used my NARS Surabaya before but recently i found it in my makeup drawer again and use it quite often. for some reasons, this duo works much better on me now then before but it doesn’t look brown on my tan skin, it looks more like rusty bronze.
