Comments that do not adhere to our comment policy may be removed. Discussion and debate are highly encouraged but we expect community members to participate respectfully. Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

I looove gabbing about products if they’re really good or really bad. But if they’re just “eh”, I’ll usually be quiet about it. As if the product doesn’t deserve any mention.

I review products on my beauty blog 🙂

Yep. I have recently just started my own blog. I figure that I buy so much stuff, that I may as well review the stuff, especially being a woman of colour. So much of the stuff that you read in terms of reviews is not really geared to darker skin, so I try to focus on that.

yep i do so on totalbeauty.com and on shopping sites such as macys, sephora etc. I do it because reviews from other people have helped me a lot when it comes to buying certain products so i figure i should do the same.

I try to review quite a few products on MUA, but honestly sometimes I get busy and forget. Usually, if it’s a really stand out product or a really bad product, I’ll do a review.

I review items on MUA since I utilize it myself. I find it a helpful tool, though I don’t treat it like the gospel, since an MA might be trained to sell the item and not have any experience with it whatsoever. Of course, you have to take reviews with a grain of salt.

I usually write reviews on Sephora, and I started a blog up a while ago (www.lifeiscouture.com) but I recently just started writing more reviews and putting up martini recipes because usually I’m doing my makeup when I go out and that usually means I have a drink in my hand to get me ready for the night lol. I know I like to check reviews on sephora and here before I buy something so its always good to help out!!!!

MUA all the way. I will never buy anything without checking reviews on MUA first. I personally don’t review everything I try, but if a product is really good, or really bad, I’ll review it.

I don’t write reviews persay but if someone asks questions and I have an answer I’ll help them out. And to my friends I don’t really market specific products, I just try and get them interested in makeup period. I have this reputation as “The makeup girl” now. LOL and looking at the past 6 month credit card statments, I can kinda see why.
