I am happy with the PMG items I have purchased so far– (3 lipsticks, 2 glosses, 2 eye palettes). Like most women who love makeup, I own too many highlighters and illuminators already. That being said, those new highlighter/balm duos are quite intriguing to me. I plan on at least swatching them. But lets be honest here. They will probably join my collection the day after they are released.!
The highlighting trio palette has me intrigued, I must say. I’m a fan of PMG’s creative genius and fabulous formulas after coming to own 2 Luxetrance and 1 Mattrance lipsticks and her thoroughly awesome La Vie En Rose 6-pan eyeshadow palette.
I really love a lot of things in this collection, but the price points are just scaring me away. Not that I think they are too high for the brand, just out of my personal reach. The highlighting trio is BEAUTIFUL but only one of those shades will work for me so I’ll just have to cross my fingers and hope they will be released as singles one day.
The balm duo looks very intriguing as well, but I’m confused how to use it? I’ve personally never seen or used a product like that. When I hear ‘balm’ I think lip balm and I’m not sure that what this is intended for. Could someone perhaps explain that to me? lol
Will you be reviewing the brush since it is a part of this collection?
The balm isn’t new she’s actually released it before and it sold out so fast most people didn’t get to try it. Basically you swipe it on the points you highlight and blend into the skin with your fingers. You can wear it with foundation or on bare skin for a subtle or buildable glow. You can also use it on the body. Think collarbones, shoulders and decollate. The way she explained it was they all work together including the lips to create a glowing light effect on the skin. The ones in the palette I believe are similar to the white astral pigment she put in the skin show lab and inside of the ultra violet one. I have it in a compact and the effect is insane. Iridescent and intense it catches the light beautifully in the sunshine. Hope this helps. I’ll be getting the bundle because for $125 for essentially 7 items is more than fair. And she has a interest free payment plan
Yeah I’m gonna need that highlighter trio right now immediately thx.
🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
I’m intrigued though know little about past highlighter releases. I read and re-read the descriptions and don’t see that these are LE. Are the items part of the permanent line?
FINALLY she’s bringing these back! I’ve been wanting to compare her “balm” dewy highlighter to Ciate London’s and swatch the pink powder highlight since the initial launch!
I’ve fallen more than a little in love with the PMG lipsticks purchased over the last year (NOT the ones in the cheap ass black tubes from those sparkly kits) and respect the shadows as nice, though wildly overpriced. The highlighters have eluded me so far as I can’t find any ingredient information online and won’t purchase face products without a full listing…..though these are raved about so much that I’m almost willing to buy them just to read the info off the box myself and return if necessary.
Sephora seems to have added the product lists recently for a prerelease:
Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Diethylhexyl Adipate, Dimethicone, Mica, Polyethylene, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax (Candelilla Cera), Talc, Silica, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Microcrystalline Wax (Cera Microcristallina), Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate, Octyldodecyl Stearoyl Stearate, Octyldodecanol, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate, Cholesteryl Hydroxystearate, Tocopherol, Lecithin, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Glyceryl Stearate, Glyceryl Oleate, Citric Acid, Nylon-12, Tin Oxide, Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891), Iron Oxides (Ci 77491), Carmine (Ci 75470).
This seems to be the Skin Fetish 03 kits where she’s ‘fixing’ the ‘problem’ of the ‘overly cheep’ packaging that lots of people complained about. I personally was just fine with the cheep packaging as nicer packaging would make them even more expensive. Which, indeed, it has!
(the original was $72 for one powder highlight, one balm/cream highlight, and one dual fiber brush)
I have a ton of highlighters and I’m sick of gold and bronze and have pink but I’ll take that pretty pink lipstick!
The transparent Balm looks interesting!
I think my heart skipped a beat looking at that highlighter trio! Must. Have 🙂
I’ll wait to see how they do! I love her videos using Skin Fetish. I wonder if the balm has lasting power to make skin look dewy. A lot of those dewy products start to make me look like I’m melting after a couple hours, especially with Philly’s humidity. Most interested in the brush, the highlighter trio palette, the nude highlighter/balm stick, and the Nude Astral balm. I tend to not use highlighters that often and wear less makeup in the summer because of humidity, so I’m not sure I would buy anything from this release.
Very excited for this! Especially the lip balms. I can’t find the ingredients of the lip balm though… anyone?
Also, Christine, I am not getting any replies to my comments, which probably means they aren’t getting posted. I received all of these “update” emails so I typed in my email etc because it said it had “expired” so I entered my email to your site like 8 times… I’m not sure what is going on…, Any idea how to fix it? Thank you ?
Seems like the ingredient lists are up on Sephora now. For the lip balms:
Polybutene, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Triisodecyl Trimellitate, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Polyethylene, Beeswax (Cera Alba), Dimethicone, Diisostearyl Malate, Mica, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Tocopheryl Acetate, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-di-t-butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Flavor/Aroma.
Thank you Eliana ?
I wish they would not put in flavor/aroma in an ingredient list…
