MAC 239, 217 (or Sigma E25), and 224 (or Sigma E40) are my go to eyeshadow brushes. Then I’ll add a Sigma E30 (pencil brush) for my bottom lid and a Sigma E05 if I’m doing liner.

It varies a lot! My most used eye brushes are the MAC 217, MAC 239, Sigma E45, Real Techniques shadow brush, an amazing brush I got in a swap that I don’t know the name of, a bent liner brush that’s discontinued, and a Sephora brush for brows.

I want to try some Hakuhodo brushes – I’ve heard amazing things about them!

MAC 239 and Elf Studio “C” Eyeshadow Brush for lid/brow, Elf Contour brush for outer corners, and Studio Basics fluffy crease brush.  The last one has unfortunately gone missing recently, so I’m probably going to upgrade and replace it with the MAC 213 and 224.  When I use gel eyeliner, I use the Elf bent-angled liner brush.

Lately, I’ve really been loving my Sonia Kashuk flat eyeshadow brushes, but my favorite is actually the brush that came with my UD Naked 2 palette. I’ve read so many bad reviews about it, but it’s one of my all-time favorites. I also have a stash of brushes that came with my L’Oreal HiP pigments that I really like for laying down shadows. I’m not partial to any one brand, but I really like the flat brushes for shadows, and an angled liner brush.

239, 217, 208, and 266 (brows).  I have several other brushes that I use pretty often, but those are the ones I routinely reach for.

All MAC: #239, #217, #224, #210, and #208 get used all the time. Their pencil brush, the #228, #226, and #231 get thrown in if I do more detailed looks. I also use the #242 whenever I use a shadow or pigment wet, or with cream products.

Mine are all Mac for my eyes: 217 for crease, 239 for lid, 242 for creams (paint pots), 224 blending, 208 for brows and 263 for liner!

MAC 239 (lid), Hakuhodo Kokutan Eye Shadow Brush T (crease), MAC 224 (blending), Sigma ss239 (highlight), Stila #28 (lower lashline), Paula Dorf Eye Definer (upper lashline).

Every day I use a 217 fake from the grocery store, and an Anastasia brow brush that has a spooly on the other side.  I also tend to use a MAC 239 and a MUFE 14S.  I often use a MAC 266 for tightlining as well.

For eyeshadow I always use a 239 & 217, occasionally I’ll use other brushes depending on the look. For eyebrows I use a brow brush and a 266.

I use the double ended brush from the Naked2 palette to apply and blend eyeshadows. Use the same brush for all eyeshadows, just wipe it off on my hand between colors 😀 I also use a EcoTools smudgey brush to smudge my pencil liner, when I do decide to smudge it which isn’t always. And if I apply gel liner, I use the “ultra fine eyeliner” brush by Bobbi Brown. But normally, just that one double ended brush.

@JaneenArias haha, that’s pretty much what i do!  the blender side from naked2, the flat side doesn’t do much for me, i think it doesn’t pick up enf stuff.  and i use the blender brush from ecotools once in a blue moon to smudge.  i can’t be bothered w/ a lot of brushes.  funny, i love makeup, but i dislike the chore of wearing it, prolly cos i only wear makeup when i m going to work and hence i tend to be in a hurry.

MAC 187, Sigma E35(tapered blending), Sigma E30 (pencil), Sigma E55(shading), Coastal Scents large pencil, Sigma mini E35, Kat Von D blending, Kat Von D Concealer.

My daily routine usually consits of one shadow.  If I’m using a cream shadow, I’ll use my Sephora brand concealer brush.  If I’m using a powder shadow, I use the eyeshadow brush that came with the 6 piece Ecotools set.  Sometimes I use the lash comb/brow brush that came with the Ecotools set mentioned above.

umm minimum 239, 222, 217, 219, 275. sometimes i’ll have to use 208, and 242 for more detailed looks. kinda seems like a lot now that i write it out lol but i can bust out a mean subtle smokey eye super fast in the morning

MAC 219, 234, 266, 217, NARS smudger, McEvoy Angled, Chanel fluffy, Chanel Mascara comb, and Smashbox Brow.  If I’m using a creme shadow, I’ll use Bobbi Brown or Smashbox creme shadow brush.

Oh man, I don’t know the damn numbers!  LoL  I just reach for the one I think is going to do the job.  I have the Sephora professional set and a canister full of Mac brushes.  Both are terrific.  I usually steer towards the professional MAC brushes because I’ve had issues with the non-pro shedding like crazy.  Okay..I’m going to go to Maccosmetics.ca and do my homework and look-up my favourite brushes..just because you asked..okay..  hang on a sec….  grumble grumble grumble:217, 219, 286 sometimes 239 and I have this giant duo fibre brush that is fabulous for base coat and I can’t find it so it must have been limited or something.. ooh, and one of the angle brushes for brow and I haven’t a clue which one.  Tah Dah!

I only use two regularly right now!MAC 252 (I THINK it’s the 252 – it’s roughly the same size as the one I used for paint pots, but not nearly as firm), and the 226 (I LOVE this brush! It’s the perfect shape and size for my crease). I’ll use the angled MAC brush if I’m doing a gel liner (though if I do liner these days I opt for liquid or pencil), and I use a cheapy victoria’s secret brush for my highlight (if I do one).

Ana Avatar

Elf shadow brush, MAC 217, a fluffy crease brush ( no particular brand ) and and a flat top liner brush for my waterline and upper lashline

Chester_99 Avatar

A flat shader brush, a smaller fluffy shader for highlight, a small tapered crease brush and a dome-shaped crease/blending brush as my staples. About 50% of the time I also use a pencil brush for the inner corner, a second pencil brush for deepening the crease, and a tapered eyeliner brush for gel eyeliner. If I use a creamy base also MAC 239 since it’s perfect for the job.

whichever brush is clean and not filled with color…I have a random stash of different brands and variety….I just use what ever brush to apply the eyeshadow so as not to mix the different colors.

I always use a flat shader, blending, crease and spoolie brush. I have so many different brands, so I just pick up whatever is clean and within reach! 🙂
