ck one color cosmetics to Launch Spring 2012

Calvin Klein will launch a full range (over 130 products) of ck one color cosmetics. The products will debut in late April 2012 with limited distribution for a full national rollout in September 2012.

Calvin Klein, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of PVH Corp. [NYSE: PVH] and Coty Inc., a leader in the global beauty industry, today unveiled the first worldwide advertising campaign introducing ck one color cosmetics, a full line-up of over 130 products that all capture the core ck one brand DNA – authentic, confident, and cool.

The advertising imagery portrays real, natural beauty through a diverse cast of women and men that embody the brand’s legacy of individuality. The ck one color cosmetics campaign will debut worldwide beginning in March 2012.

“ck one has maintained its status as an iconic global brand since it first launched in 1994,” said Catherine Walsh, Senior Vice President of American Fragrances, Coty Prestige. “With the introduction of ck one color cosmetics we go beyond fragrance, addressing the consumer’s desire to define their individuality. The new campaign, combined with innovative products, continues the ck one legacy of authenticity and accessibility by connecting consumers with the brand in a modern and vibrant way.”

“With its fragrance roots, expanding into a color cosmetics line was a natural progression for the ck one brand,” said Tom Murry, President & Chief Executive Officer, Calvin Klein, Inc. “This latest extension embodies the energy and free spirit of ck one, offering fresh and unique beauty products that are ideal for today’s youthful, independent consumer.”

I was curious as to where it’s sold, and when I googled it, it said exclusively (for the premier launch) at Ulta… I didn’t see it mention.. I am curious on the price range… but I’m sure it’ll come eventually

This is probably the third makeup line that Calvin Klein has rolled out over the years, right? This is going to be produced by Coty Prestige, but any word on where it will retail?

Yes. They keep trying but CK just doesn’t seem to do well in cosmetics for some reason. Maybe using the CK one brand, which is a younger demographic will be more successful. That foundation looks interesting.

I loved the felt-tip eyeliner from the last iteration of this brand, the one available through Sephora. Hopefully this time they’ll do better, I thought the last version of the brand was underrated!

Believe it or not, the last round of Calvin Klein makeup was manufactured by Markwins…the same company that does Wet n Wild!

I’m old enough that I had makeup from the first Calvin Klein line. Oh how I loved those eyeshadows and blushes. I wish I had stocked up! The only thing I still have is the blush brush and it’s horrible! Thin and scratchy, back in those days (late 70s, early 80s) women just used the applicators and brushes that came with the makeup. You didn’t buy that separate, and they were rough scratchy and yucky! lol

Cool, they used a model with a lip ring! Those are some sexy promo images, though offhand the mascara looks a bit clumpy and doesn’t appeal to me. I’m sure I’ll at least try it when it comes out though!

Had a browse of this makeup line at Myer (it’s an Australian department store) in central Sydney over the weekend I was surprised to learn its launched in Australia and Singapore before the US and Europe (which never happens) all the eyeshadows are shimmery so skipped them, the blush duos (one half is cream the other a matching powder) are fantastic the foundation and mousse concealer are lovely and haven’t made my oily spot prone skin any worse but you will need to set this with powder, the lightest shade is 100 which is darker than a Mac nw/nc15 and the foundations are neutral toned (thank god) no overly pink or yellow tones. The lippies are to die for and I’m loving sin city which is an awesome pinky coral, the eye liners are greasy IMO. I can’t wait to read christines reviews tho!
