These look beautiful but remind me more of the beach/seaside than the Northern Lights. I see them when I’m living in my hometown and I’ve never seen silver or gold in them. Emerald green, blues yes, purples and violets – I know there are pictures of yellows too (i’ve not had that pleasure)..just wondering what they were imagining with their colour selections.

It’s hard to tell from the poor quality of the promo picture, but two of the shades in the palette are blue. The one you see as silver is actually a light blue. There is also a deeper blue at the bottom of the stack. The top color is not gold. It is a warm base eyelid color over which the other colors get layered. I agree with you, though. When I actually saw a sneak peek of this Kaleidoscope, the Northern Lights was the last thing that came to mind. The ones I’ve seen have been gorgeous shades of green, blue and violet–just as you describe.
Agreed! I was hoping there would be a cool, dark teal-green-based sort of color combo. This seems like you could just take any random 4 colors and call it “aurora inspired.” Oh well, it’s still pretty, I guess!
The eye kaleidoscope looks beautiful. I haven’t tried le metier de beaute yet, but this one is certainly tempting!

I live in Alaska and frequently see the Northern Lights,however I have never seen them in these colors. Greens,blues,pinks and purples are what I usually see. My fiance has pictures of the sky lit up in all reds and pinks.
I think they should have researched what the Northern Lights actually look like before naming a collection after them. Don’t get me wrong the colors are beautiful,but it’s not what I think of when I think of the Northern Lights.
