To my surprise and delight (at rediscovering it), Lise Watier Multi Fini powder foundation.
Nars Tinted Moisturizer mixed in with 1/3 of a pump of Hourglass Mineral Veil primer! Amazing combo!
I’ve been using the HG one as a primer under that NARS one. I definitely need to try mixing them!
It continues to be IT Cosmetics CC Cream in Fair. I don’t see that changing with the seasons, though I may mix it with my Paula’s Choice Resist Super-Light Daily Wrinkle Defense as it gets warmer, or on days where I want a less full-coverage look.
That’s a really good one.
I don’t really horde foundation so what I use for spring is what I have been using all winter. Right now I’m finishing up my Clinique Even Better Foundation and then I will go into my MAC Studio Fix Fluid. For days where I want lighter, and staying put isn’t a big priority, I have a Bobbi Brown CC Cream and I do have the It Cosmetics CC Cream, both are just ok.
BareMinerals Prime Time BB primer cream. I love it on my face as a sheer foundation, but unfortunately it messes up my brushes so I have to apply it with my fingers.
Chanel Velvet or Infallible pro matte.
The only really consistent base product I use is my Chosungah foundation. I do mix it sometimes with the Dr. Jart BB cream in light if I am just doing a natural makeup, you know running errands, etc.
I will gradually retire my Kjaer Weis cream foundation for the winter and fish out my Juice Beauty CC (or BB?) cream with SPF.
Happy Easter, Christine!
Mixing stuff! Yep, I’ve been loving the longlasting, yet glowy medium coverage I get from mixing my regular foundation, Lancôme Teint Idole 24H in N360 with an equal part of Lumene BB cream in Medium. Or, for fuller coverage that still appears softer and more skin-like, I mix 3 or 4 parts of the same foundation with 1 part MAC Strobe Cream.
Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation!
Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Makeup is still my number one, I’m also using Bare Minerals BarePro Performance Wear Liquid Foundation a lot, too.
(Could they come up with longer names for foundation? Lol)
I just discovered EL Double Wear and it is AMAZING! I doubt I will ever use anything else…unless they change the formula.
Surratt Beauty Surreal Skin Foundation Wand. I bought it on sale thinking the shade might be off and I might not like it, but it really is the most skin-like foundation I’ve ever used. Feels as good as it looks, too.
Designer Brands Luminous Hydrating foundation – definitely lived up to the hype for me.
Juice Beauty Stem Cellular CC Cream with SPF30. I have it in Desert Glow (for fair to light skin tones). I discovered it last summer when I was battling rosacea. I couldn’t believe that there is a makeup product that combines anti-aging skincare benefits, organic ingredients and SPF. When I had a bad flare-up (I had none this year thanks to the changes I made to my skincare), I would apply first some IT Bye Bye redness on the red areas. It does have an “earthy ” scent when you apply it first but it fades afterwards.
I recently changed it up from It Cosmetics CC cream to Tarte Rainforest of the Sea and Burberry Velvet Foundation. Really love both formulas and wish Burberry hadn’t discontinued this formula.
I totally forgot Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Finish micro powder. It’s as good as everyone on YouTube says it is!
That one is on the top of my birthday wishlist. Been wanting it for AGES!
I have got to try this.. I’m a light to medium thinking I’ll try the light shade?
I’m fair so I would definitely go with light. It’s not translucent, there’s color.
I’ve been in money-saving mode lately and have replaced a lot of my staples. I have had some limited splurges, but they are more focused on filling in gaps I feel I have in my collection. Anyway, I *finally* replaced my Lancôme Teint Idole 24H in N90 (fall/winter) or N100 (spring/summer) with something more affordable for me right now and it turns out my fear of doing so was completely unfounded. I ordered some of The Ordinary Coverage Foundation in 1.1N – and it worked for me! It doesn’t wear *quite* as long as my Lancôme, but for that kind of savings I can certainly touch up a bit after ten hours or so if I want.
I have both of The Ordinary foundations and they’re so amazing especially for the price point!
Nude by Nature BB creme in porcelain, with either the Elf foundation in porcelain or Rimmel Match Perfection in porcelain. I am still using up my Clarins Everlasting foundation in linen as my HE one.
A standard SPF sunscreen has been the La Roche Posay’s Ultra light 50+.
Happy Easter everyone!
Happy Easter from Greece! Health and happiness!
Happy Easter to you Amalia. I hope the Easter Bunny is kind to you.
I’ve been wearing my EL Double Wear a lot simply because I wear a face mask at work a lot and it doesn’t rub off on the mask.
My favorites otherwise are EL Double Wear Nude water and L’oreal Pro Glow.
E.l.f. Flawless Finish Foundation in Porcelain, now called Natural under the revised line. I’ve used up my current bottle, and I’m going to switch to the new shade Light Ivory, as that’s an even better match.
So is Light Ivory even lighter than Porcelain Rachel? I would be interested if it is.
Nars Tinted Moisturizer or Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation.
MUFE HD Foundation, I don’t tan so I ‘ll be using this throughout the summer.
I have Loreal Dewey (the one in glass pump) like it a lot for Spring or Summer. Also have the ones in the plastic tubes. I love Maybelline Fit Me! I buy them all in dewy. Purchased a few to try No. 7 foundations and I like how they set but just find them a bit ashy on me even the lightest color so experimenting mixed it in with the Aveeno CC cream (almost colorless the fair to light) but love the sheen it gives and mixing them gave me the perfect combination except I can’t find that Aveeno shade again. I guess it has been discontinued. Would buy again if I could find it liked how natural and glowy it is but wearing Physicians Formula powder on top evens it out nicely.
Guerlain Multi-Perfecting Concealer on top of my sun cream (cosrx aloe soothing sun cream spf 50)
My one and only Mac Studio Fix fluid in NC 20.
So hopelessly behind on T..
Found some inspiration here from Gilbert which is great. Cool tip!
I love a flawless finish so my foundation of choice is still EL DW SIP when I am going out, but most of the time, I do not bother because of my lifestyle and I get lazy and aim for minimal work.
For a quick base, I like IT CC cream with a bit of The Ordinary coverage foundation in 1.0 NS to tweak and lighten.. IT shades are so grrrr limited. My skin works level wise with shade Fair, but I prefer Light for undertone. I don’t know what exactly it is with The Ordinary 1 NS, but yay it’s my magic foundation fixer.
IT CC definitely has its plusses, but it is not my HG. Despite that, I use it a lot because its fast and it has extra sun protection. I find it can sit rather heavy looking; esp if I slap and go and do not futz with a sponge (brush is no go for me with this formula). So today I tried mixing with a squirt of Hourglass serum primer. It gave a nice natural sheerer finish; sat beautifully on my skin all day . Feels a bit more ‘coney’ than I’m accustomed to since I use smashbox primer water with the EL, but I did like how this combo looked very non-makeupy. I’m going to try with a few other more liquidy primers that I own and see what transpires because.. I’m mix obsessed. This post is total fodder
