How do you handle dark under eye circles?

How do you handle dark under eye circles? Besides concealer, what can you do?

As far as products go, both concealers and brighteners can help. Other remedies can be ensuring you’re drinking plenty of water and getting enough sleep!

I use Bobbi Brown’s corrector in light bisque and follow by Lunasol’s under eye base…and my awful dark circles are gone XD

Other than that I tried not to sleep late and drink a lot of water.

Great question.Unfortunately I can’t completely eliminate my dark circles, and have to rely on concealer. It’s my biggest insecurity, but I’m coping with it.

If I’m wearing foundation, I use yellow concealer, then foundation, then possibly normal concealer over if they’re still bad. If not, just a little concealer, if anything.

I use my bobbi brown corrector, and then mac moisture cover over it, I love the look…however it creases like MAD on me…I don’t think I can really do anything to avoid it though since I have little creases under my eyes. (I’m not really old or anything, I’m 20…just have a tough time with it) Love BB corrector though!!

Leaving vitamin e under my eyes over night helps quite a bit but if I need something faster I use a cucumber eye gel. In the past I used some St Ives cucumber gel that worked well but i’m currently using Yes To Cucumber eye gel, it’s also pretty nice for getting the red out after waxing!

I take collagen powder supplements, use an eye cream, eye masks every week, face massaging, sleep plenty, drink lots of water and use my Skinfood salmon concealer.

nothing to do about them except for surgery when i can afford it cause they’ve been affecting my self esteem for years along with other things. they’re hereditary…i remember having them even when i was 5. Puffy AND dark(i hardly ever saw someone w/ some like mine)…I try to cover them(a lot..i’m OCD about it) but they’re never fully covered…maybe some other expensive concealers could but i can’t buy them being only 17. i hope for the best in the future lol

If my issue is solely dark, under eye circles then I use a brightening eye cream (I like Clinique’s repairwear or All about Eyes) first. Next, I use a warm (read peach or pink undertoned) concealer to neautralize any purple or blue tones. If I have puffiness, I always use MAC’s fast response eye cream. I use a good pea size amount per eye and then gently tap a slightly darker than my skin tone shade of eye shadow on the orbital bone to mimic the look of a contour. This helps to detract from puffiness. I then blend foundation on top using a 224 or 227. I then use a soft focus powder to blend and a shimmery colour on the inner corner of my eye. Dark circles are such a pain. For extremely deep dark complexions (NC50 NW45 and up) I find that working a bit of an organge lipstick (MAC Morange or something similar) into a rich concealer usually helps to neutralize a very dark circle around the eye.

I really don’t have them bad, but I do have them (I was told that they come with my allergies, though I don’t know how much medical sense it makes). When I wear makeup I pay attention to blending foundation carefully in the area but that’s it though!

I use satura eye cream from dorothy gray every night, i apply it cold (I store it in my fridge)and it really reduces de puddiness and dark cirles under my eyes! Its my holy grail eye cream!
For my make up I use Estee Lauder’s double wear stay-in-place flawless wear concelear (super long name right?) and it hides my dark circles, I love it and it also last forever i still haven’t finished my first one so I’m kinda regrestting the back up i bought because i don’t see when I am ever gonna use it at this rate!

I’ve been using the Garnier Anti Dark Circle Roller for a couple months. It provides enough coverage and it seems to be really treating over time.

I use Roc Multi Correxion Eye Treatment morning and night and for covering them up I use Lemon-Aid and Erase Paste. I get plenty of sleep and drink tons of water, that doesn’t help at all. Most of the time it’s genetic. I’m in my 40’s and I’ve just learned to deal with it and use great products to cover them up when I go out.

I use Armani corrector – the orange one, I think it is number 2. It completely wipes out dark circles & doesn’t look cakey or dry (and also doesn’t cause milia like Bobbi Brown corrector did on me).

Clarisonic Opal is a must have for all eye concerns! uses sonic waves to infuse the eye area with your fave serum, eyes are smoother, firmer, lighter, voila!! next is eye cream then concealer…perfect.

I use Clinique’s All About Eyes at night before I go to sleep. It helps with dark circles, puffiness, and any signs of irritation! I discovered it after I began working at a Clinique counter, and its probably one of my favorite products from the brand so far. 🙂

Almond oil did wonders for my dark circles. You can get it at an Indian grocery store, it costs about $6 for a huge bottle. I use it on my entire face, it is not greasy, no breakouts and it just melts into my skin. Great for dark patches too.

I’m NC15 and use MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NW15 and it works super well. People don’t believe me when I mention how prominent my dark corcles and puffiness are! For the puffiness, if I get less than 7 hours of sleep, I use Sephora instant de-puffer and let that dry. Then I apply my powder foundation and take a small dot of concealer on a plastic palette and using a concealer brush, I pat the concealer under my eyes and dab my ring finger to buff it out and blend the concealer to my skin. I apply it close-up then step back from the mirror and add more as needed. Sooo many steps involved, but it stays all day long and doesn’t look cakey!

Erase Paste by Benefit, sealed in with some powder. It works wonderfully for me – but not if I’ve had very little sleep, sadly. I don’t think much can beat a good night of sleep!

I pat on some quality concealer and then I just deal with it. Mine are hereditary – shadows cast on my face from the shape of my eyes and cheekbones. It’s not that the skin is dark, so eye creams don’t do anything. I use a little eye makeup most days to brighten my look and then I just don’t bother about it. Most people have at least a little darkness under their eyes anyway.

I grew up, came to terms with the fact that they were hereditary rather than the result of not enough sleep/water/whatever and learned to road-test concealers recommended by experts such as Temptalia. In fact, I learned to appreciate that my dark eyes made me even more closely resemble my Dad (whom I adore) and my Grandfather (also beloved and always missed). For those others who also do all the right things and still have ’em: embrace ’em. Just like a distinctive nose or pronounced ears, that make you you.
I currently alternate between MUFE in the tube – great color range, good coverage and long-lasting – and MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer, which also covers quite well.

I have really terrible dark circles. Thats why I use mac vibrancy eye primer. It doesn’t do anything to cover them up, but it smoothens the skin so I can use heavy concealing without it looking unnatural. Than I use estee lauder maximum coverage foundation on my undereye area as a concealer. Then I use bobbi brown concealer on to followed by powder. During the day I do touch ups in my undereye area with mac p&p highlighting pen. My dark circles really cost me a fortune.

I use Bobbi Brown corrector in medium to dark bisque and MAC Prolong Wear concealer in NC35 over it. To combat the creasing, I apply NARS smudge proof eyeshadow base under my eyes prior to applying my corrector and concealer.

Oh man, dark circles are the plague on my house. I’ve got about a dozen concealers from every brand you can think of, but I think my must-have product is probably Bobbi Brown concealer/highlighter ivory duo. I’ve yet to find a product that blends as well into my skintone!

Concealed didn’t ever work too well, but when some genius created brightener I was amazed! I use Maybeline Age Rewind Brightener and it’s awesome- great drugstore score.
Instead of painting them out I think this is some very dense full coverage base type potion; It’s a bit lighter than face base, or literally brighter? I just pat on a bit over foundation under my eyes (ring finger!) and it counters the darkness.
Concealers are often so dense you have to tug the skin to get them on and Homey don’t play that. Dior and Chanel et al make under eye brightener. It’s a thought if the concealer is working your last nerve.
