MAC’s waterproof brow set is amazing, you can rub as hard as you want and it will not budge. I don’t use a lot of it so a tube lasts me forever too!

Brows aren’t a huge deal for me so I’m perfect happy with my IT brow pencil (that universal colour one), Benefit Gimme Brow or an eyeshadow like MAC Charcoal Brown or Cork or an old Revlon one in a darker brown (can’t recall the name now). I’ve also tried that Just for Men beard dye that lots of women use and the results with that have been fine (I feared ending up looking like Groucho Marx but fortunately that didn’t happen).

I,generally like a pencil for ease of use. I’ve had good luck with IT Coametics, L’Oreal, and Anastasia. I just bought the boy brow from Glossier which is like a brow mascara and it gives a very youthful and natural effect. I think I’m going to love it.

Anastasia. They’ve been the only brand I feel that match my brows. Many brands have decent brow products but I find they think brown means dark or darker. Taupe is too grey and blonde is too brassy. ABH just gets it right imo

I don’t really care about brows much. Following my cancer treatment my brows never grew back in completely and I have large gaps between brow hairs. In addition, I have some grey hairs in my brows and really should get them dyed. I had it done once in the city closest to where I live and it was a disaster and I decided to just deal with the patchiness. Anyway, I prefer a softer color and so I use the L’Oréal brow pencil in blonde most of the time but I prefer the Dior All In Brow 3D Long Wear Brow in the shade blonde. What’s up with these mile long names!!

I have been using Clinique Brow Shaper for more than 10 years. I’ve tried other brands and formulas here and there throughout the years just to mix things up, but nothing compares to my beloved Brow Shaper, so I don’t bother trying anything else anymore. I use Clinique’s Superfine Liner with it sometimes for extra precision.

Since finding a perfect dupe in Rimmel Black-brown Eyebrow Pencil for the one by ABH, I’d say that as long as I can continue to purchase those, I’m set with my pencil part of it! I also use a pot of L’oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Continuous Cocoa for my brow powder. That little pot has major pan showing after 6 years of use for my brows!

Apparently, Kat von D is set to release a collection of brow gels (that can double as liners) in a vast array of “unnatural” colors. I’m looking forward to the reds & plums, as they may push me to change up my hair a bit!

You’re right, Amy. If I remember right, KVD’s are coming out in the spring. I saw a teaser for them on IG a while back. The indie company Black Beauty Cosmetics (etsy) is coming out with some alternative colors soon, too, for it’s Eye Brow Pomades (they have blue and bright red right now). I’ll probably need to mix a bright pink and a bright red for both brands, I’m guessing.

I love the Anastasia Dip Brow. It is the best eye brow pomade in my opinion. I’ve been really into all the Benefit brow products for awhile. I enjoy the KaBrow! but I find that it dries out way more quickly than ABH DipBrow. I love Precisely,My Brow Pencil and Good Proof Brow Pencil is also nice. Lately I’ve been using a combo of Boss Brow Gel from Colourpop due to Kathleen Lights recommending it in a several videos. It has a white creamy cast but it makes the hair stand up like nothing I’ve ever used before I use it and then top it off with the L’Oreal Browstylist Plumper in Medium to Dark and it gives my brows that feathery look with out having to use soap. I think L’Oreal has the best brow products I’ve used from the drugstore.

I never fussed much with my brows other than to tweeze sparingly but last few years they have been coming in white. Weird as I have maybe a dozen grey hairs on my head (I’m 58). So I’ve been tinting them with a product called Refectocil and I love it. It is amazing how it brightens up my face, I look so washed out with light brows and dark hair. Now if I could find a really strong hold gel to keep them in place. I even tried moustache wax and no good. Any ideas on which gel has strongest hold? I have very wiry brows.

I’ve been more than happy with my NYX products for the last few years, and I haven’t found anything worthy of a switch. For one, I need black; second, I don’t want to spend a lot of money, LOL!

I used to swear by Smashbox’s brow duo, and then I went to Becca’s very soft creme duo (which has a lovely highlighter) but it was hard to apply as it was so soft.

Then I tried It Cosmetic’s Brow Power. At first, I was like, “oh swell, a hard stick pencil like my mother-in-law wears and pencils in her entire brow”. But then I tried it and liked it. It is firm, it is thin tipped, but the color is SO right now and it looks like individual hairs. I use it and then use the spoolie and my brows have never looked better. Much more control, I feel, and better than the Maybelline one I used for ages years and years ago.

Benefit.
The Goof Proof is the best pencil for me, the teardrop shape makes things easy and still precise, the pigmentation and staying power are great. And mine lasted a year, with almost daily use (I only have one of each for most cosmetic products).
Also, I regret Gimme Brow is not available anymore. I loved that brow setter, the spooly was smaller, just perfect for my brows. Formula and pigmentation wise, Gimme Brow and MAC Waterproof Brow Set are definitely equal favorites, but the MAC spooly is true just a little too big.
But I could care less about the other Benefit brow products.

I have purchased literally hundreds of brow pencils in search of a cool tone (ashy) soft black. And if that’s not bad enough, I want one with staying power.
That being said, I finally found MUFE brow pencil in No. 50. This pencil is perfect.

I’ll be different and say Dior. Love their Diorshow Brow Styler pencil and Bold Brow brow mascara. The Bold Brow is the best product of the type I’ve tried, and I’ve tried all the regular favourites, and their DS dupes. That being said, I also use a GOSH pencil I bought for $2 and like it enough to have bought backups as it was being discontinued at my store.

YSL couture brow is the only one light enough. I love it. I liked clarins brow wax I just wish it was available separate from their brow kit, so after I finished it I’ve just been using Baxter hard cream pomade since.

I’ve tried Anastasia and Benefit.
I like both, but honestly, I most often reach for my BH Cosmetics Studio Pro Brown Pencil (brunette) and their Flawless Brow Trio (I use the light trio, and only first two of the three) as they are so creamy and easy to use–and cheap! The pencil goes on smoother of any others I’ve ever tried.

I still rely daily upon my Anastasia brow gel in blonde though.

After reading comments below, I am curious about MAC…

I used to swear by my ABH Brow Wiz, but have recently been enjoying the pencils from NYX. I’m also a big fan of MAC brow products, I generally switch between those two for everyday use.

If I’m looking for a lighter look, I still prefer the ABH brow powder duo. Of course, any cool toned light brown matte eyeshadow would work in a pinch.

Priscilla Avatar

ABH Brow wiz in taupe and Benefit Goof proof because of the shape. Not a fan of the Dip Brow. I just can’t seem to not overdo it with that. I enjoy the Gimme brow, but I always have to add on. It’s just not enough on its own. Didn’t know it was discontinued…

I have very light eyebrows, so I never used to bother much with them until recently. I tried Mac’s clear brow gel first, but quickly moved on to Anastasia’s brow wiz and/or gel, depending on the occasion. I thought the colour blond would be too dark and/or too brassy for me, but I find that it actually looks really natural.

Still, brow products are not a must for me and something I’ll happily skip if I’m in a rush or not in the mood. As long as they’re tweezed, I’m fine with them as they are.
