- What are your New Year’s Eve traditions?: I used to play mahjong with my immediate family for most of the night and watch various NYE shows as it hit midnight across the world. For the past couple of years, I’ve spent it with Shaun and trying to stay up until midnight. Sometimes we’re like senior citizens 😉 Still working on creating some of our own traditions!

Weekend Plans: Cooking for a friend’s NYE party, and blogging.
What are your NYE traditions?: I usually try to stay up until midnight (I’m like my granny; I conk out by 9pm!) but my boyfriend is a night owl, so for the past 3 years it’s been easier to stay up while he’s up.
LOL! I usually get SUPER tired on NYE!

– I usually go out with friends and just celebrate and have fun ,
I never do the new year’s kiss though 😀 unless I had a bf with me or so ,

my mom just asked where Mellan clothes are, we see it every Friday and almost every friday he is wearing something

Celebrating NYE with my parents and a couple of friends. 😀
What are your New Year’s Eve traditions?
I don’t really like spending NYE at home unless we’re setting up a huge party with tons of people (like last year) because I would end up asleep before hitting midnight lol. I don’t really having traditions – I guess the only ones I have are going to parties and go to bed as late as possible and get a new outfit for the party every year.

Haul: full sized Hourglass primer (I’d got the small one to try last month and loved it); Sin Primer Potion for my daughter
Weekend plans: helping my younger son get unpacked from uni and REPACKED for his move to Montreal for his work term; stripping beds for company coming to stay for NYE and shopping for groceries for NYE dinner! (I need a holiday to recuperate from this holiday season!)
New Years traditions: one of my oldest friends, who is on her own, comes to stay and I make something special for dinner for all of us. We play board games and watch some great old movies (probably Charade and Casablanca this year). Generally, the kids are home for at least part of the evening and if we’re really lucky, they’re all home at midnight – we always stay up to see in the new year – and then we take a brisk walk around the neighbourhood after midnight (it’s nice to get out into the fresh air after a dinner and some champagne) and then we sort haul ourselves upstairs to bed! This year, we dubiously welcome the “new” tradition of getting my son to his co-op placements (this will go on for the next 5 years!) in time to start his work terms. Maybe next year, it will be closer to home.

Haul: I bought a eau de parfum (Vanilla Drops & Sweet Orange)and a scented candle (Green Tea) by rituals. I love the smell, but the EdP seems a bit to intense.
Weekend plans: Celebrating New Year’s with a friend.
What are your New Year’s Eve traditions?: I don’t have a tradition. I just try to watch Dinner for One at least two times.
I have never seen that!
Haul: Tarte Peaceful, UD Bourbon and Lucky, Givenchy Eau Torride (this is my first perfume love but it was discontinued a long time ago. I got it in a swap and I can’t wait to use it when the weather gets warmer)!

What are your New Year’s Eve traditions? Not really any for this one. All my traditions are for the Chinese New Year. For this one it’s mostly just getting together with friends and seeing fireworks!
Psst I really love Mellan’s ears! I used to live with a Belgian shepherd (think German shepherd with lighter coat and straight instead of slanted back), and I was always rubbing her ears when I had the chance. So soft, thick, and fluffy!

Haul: Two Rouge Dior #444 Red Muse (one for me and one for my mom) and Lancome L’Absolu Rouge #333 (for my grandma). The three of us went out for some lipstick shopping. So sad that Dior is being discontinued in Indonesia as of Jan 1, 2012.
Weekend plans: Celebrating New Year’s with my extended family!
What are your New Year’s Eve traditions?: We usually have a big BBQ dinner feast at my house with my big extended family, including second cousins. While waiting for the clock to strike at twelve o’clock we do some karaoke, play some games, take a million candid photos, etc. At midnight we celebrate it by drinking sparkling grape juice (gotta keep it that way for the underage kids but the rest of us grown-ups are allowed to drink champagne or whatever you can get your hands on basically).
Oh, and congratulations on your engagement! You must be the happiest girl in the world! Kudos to Shaun for his massive proposal! Wishing the both of you all the best and hope you have a wonderful wedding and long-lasting marriage!!!

Haul: MAC Pro Longwear foundation in NC15 (I had to get a lighter shade), MAC Bronze eyeshadow, and for XMAS I received a YSL kit that I am returning because it’s awful (whoever said that the touché éclat was good was smoking something), a Bobbi Brown kit with two gel eyeliners, and the MAC sultry iced delights lip bag which I love. Oh and I also got a Bobbi Brown Touch up stick and another 217 and the 219 brush. I think that’s it…haha
Weekend plans: NYE, hopefully getting to the mall to check out the mac collections and to get le metier de beaute corinthian-I’ve given in to it’s loveliness
What are your New Year’s Eve traditions?: My mom and I eat crab and get really messy and have fun with that. Other than that, I don’t really have any “traditions”

Haul: For Christmas the hubby got me two things from my Sephora wishlist: Make Up For Ever Wild and Chic Best Of Kit and Josie Maran Argan Oil. I just picked up two more things myself in order to get the VIB status, Illamasqua Fume Intense Lipgloss and a replacement Benefit Sugarbomb.
Weekend plans: Celebrating New Year’s with my husband and some friends. Hopefully my best friend can make it with her fiance from Orlando. Also the 49ers v. Rams game since my hubby wants me to wear the “49ers Fans are Good Kissers” shirt that he got me for Christmas, haha!(He’s the California boy and 49er Fan!)
What are your New Year’s Eve traditions?: Growing up we would usually watch the NYE celebrations on TV and play Uno or have movie marathons. Now, my husband and I usually go out on the town in our finest duds and eat at a really nice restaurant and watch the local fireworks afterwards with friends.

What are your New Year’s Eve traditions? Usually just toasting the new year and hugging at midnight. New Years isn’t a big holiday in my family.

I also got a super cute Marc by Marc Jacobs Petal to the Metal Natasha bag in Shadow, a “matching” dark gray signature embossed Coach accordion wallet and a Vera Bradley cosmetics bag (it’s lined so if something leaks it won’t mess up my bag) 🙂 Yay for holiday bonus and holiday money from family xD
Plans: Just chill with my family…BBQ with the in-laws today then relaxing the rest of the weekend.
Traditions: Nothing in particular, just snacks and sparkling apple cider 🙂

What are your New Year’s Eve traditions?: My family used to play scrabble and eat finger foods til Midnight. We’d then pop open a bottle of champagne and watch a movie til we all fell asleep. This year, I’ll be with my boyfriend, probably watching movies and cuddling.

Haul: MAC Azelia Blossom with some B-day money, Color Club sets for $13 each in Foiled and Back to Boho set B … from Winners! I must hunt Winners more often as Color Club is hard to find let alone the sets.
Also got some LUSH during their BOGOF sale, it’s crazy that there soaps cost $14 for a small block but the smell is divine. The 2 bath bombs I got for a friend as she is abroad for the holidays and dies for their Bath Bombs. Never tried one as I don’t have a proper tub for that kind of stuff. lol
I can’t wait till the 13th (Friday no less) as I will be placing my Sephora order for most of the year until the fall (Naked2 and paperself lashes).
Weekend plans: Celebrating New Year’s with the family, ring it in watch a movie in the theater the past 3 years. lol

Christine, you play mahjong? I played a lot too with my cousins and siblings, usually on Chinese New Year’s eve after our reunion dinner, and the days that followed.
Haven’t hauled anything since before Christmas.
This year, it’s only me, Hubby and our daughter since we relocated to the UK. But may be there’ll be some impromptu gathering by tomorrow evening from our friends and neighbors.

What are your New Year’s Eve traditions?: Appetizer dinners. My family doesn’t drink, so when I’m alone for New Year’s, it’s a chance to bust out the sparkling wine and/or vodka. 🙂
What appetizers do you grab?
Shrimp summer rolls, brie en croute with cranberry compote, bacon-wrapped steak bites, candied salmon and, to keep everything properly Texan, sausage balls!
Haul: Bobbi Brown foundation stick and pressed setting powder, Bobbi Brown eye cream, Lancôme Hypnose mascara, Shiseido eyelash curler, and Sarah McNamara Miracle Skin concealer. The best part is that was all off gift cards. 🙂
My husband and I host a New Year’s Eve party because we have a great view of the Seattle fireworks from our balcony! It’s always a lot of fun.

Weekend plans: Celebrating New Year at my uncle’s house, with tons of incredible food, fireworks and the annual silly string war. Then party with friends till the sun rises. On Sunday, probably sleep all day, if the heat lets me (which probably won’t)
What are your New Year’s Eve traditions?: Celebration with my family, eat till I blow up, silly string war, not going to bed before the sun rises and eating pizza with my family the next day.

New years traditions: used to try staying up with my dad which never happened. Now that I’m a grown up mostly just dressing up and going to people’s houses/ bars. And since this is the first year I’ve had a real job I doubt I can stay up till midnight. Senior here as well.
Sleeping in is always good!

What are your NYE traditions: Well, we don’t have any major family gatherings planned, but we usually do the pork chops and saurkraut for good luck. 😀 Oh, and drinking. That’s the most important part! (Which is why the working part is sad.)
