5 Holiday Makeup Looks

Reader Jenelle asked for some suggestions for holiday makeup, what with all of the holiday parties in full swing!  I’m a huge fan of shimmery red/berry lips for the holidays, so I tend to go more neutral on the eyes.  I still have a soft spot for smoky golds, bronzes, coppers, berries, and greens, though 🙂  Here are my five picks…

  1. Easy neutral eyes + red lip
  2. Bronzes + greens
  3. Intense, smoky purples
  4. Golds + berries
  5. Matte neutral eye + shimmery lips

I LOVE all of them on you, especially the purple look (ah, it must be nice to have so much lid space to play with! Mine is very limited)! I might try something like bronzes and greens this year, just because I have what it takes!

My fave right now is gold eyes with sheer berry lips, using mostly the Naked palette.
Eyes- primer (duh). UD Naked and Buck in the crease as a blending color. Half Baked all over the lid. Smog on the outer half of the lid and crease. Vanilla (or a mix of Sin and Virgin) as highlight and inner corner. Darkhorse or MIA in the outer third, crease, lashline.
Depending on how much time I have, I might also blend in some Chase and Deeper.
Black liner, Naked smudged under eyes.
Lips: Stila lip glaze in Majesty (berry).

I have a look that I want to try out for this coming holiday!
It will look like auroralights…

I love the Gold and Berries.
I love purple so I really lovvve the smokey purples
and I like bronzes and greens!

Can’t wait to try them all!

Bronze & green is more of an everyday type look for me – I love greens! Bold lips are my go-to holiday staple/look. If I’m in a rush, gold/silver metallics on the lid 🙂
