Ah, the otherworldly, galactic approach. Mounting my unicorn and pinning on my Rapunzel wig carefully Leia’d On the sides, to fly off….in this palette. I realize it isn’t warm neutrals, but can we get with another trend? Please? Someone? We have enough dead horses already (not to mention the taiga antelope die-off). So why keep beating them?
I’m confused by this marketing. Are these shadow toppers?
Sounds like it, though possibly a use dry = sheer, use damp = opaque situation.

I wonder if brands realized that when their marketing confuses me, it doesn’t entice me to open my wallet and scream “take my money!”, LOL.
I was loving the light colors, but then read they’re all shimmers, so it’s a pass. 🙁
I’m the opposite! Because my eyes are so dark (as well as my personal style/aesthetic), the only way I can wear light colors on my eyes is if it is shimmery.
This color scheme is very similar to the one Too Faced is coming out with (White Peach?). These shades must be the trends for spring.

I agree! On the hunt for my perfect pale shimmer pink and I will have to swatch this one and the white peach!
I just tapped on the Sephora link and there is a video on this palette, you can use it as blush/highlight as well, the finished look is nice, I might get it!
Is anyone else starting to get a little irritated at the beauty industry’s insistence on using the term ‘holographic’ when they mean ‘iridescent’? Stop telling me something’s holographic when it’s not going to make my face reflect rainbows, a single color shimmer is not good enough to be called “holographic”. Nor is a two or three color shift, if I don’t look like a unicorn sneezed on me it’s just iridescent. But maybe I’m just too focused on semantics here.
That said, these are pretty if not super exciting. That shade of yellow has shown up in a couple new palette releases now, i wonder if it’s going to be a thing this year.
I don’t see where they are marketing this as holographic anywhere???

I know I wouldn’t use this as an eyeshadow palette-but I think it’d be fantastic to use as a blush palette!

Agreed – this very much reads as blush to me for very fair skintones, possibly a couple highlight shades.
This looks nice – it’s about what I’d expect for a spring release, it’s just called galactic rather than garden something. I’ll be interested to see what the pigmentation is like.
I just this week bought the NYX Cosmic Metals eyeshadow palette and was digging around trying to find another palette with mattes and satins when I came across my Unfiltered II palette. Oooh, I’ll use that for blush I thought… and then thought again. So I’ve been using it as eyeshadow for the past week (uh, and blush as well) and blending the shimmery NYX shades over as a topper and it works surprisingly well! I don’t typically use a really deep contouring eye shade so the matte mauve or bronze shade works nicely for an everyday look and Exhibit A with a little gold metallic blended over looks SMASHING. If this is decently pigmented, I might pick it up to use the same way 😉
I wonder if the formula in the shimmers is the Hardwired shadow formula?That and the Dual-Intensity are my 2 favorite Nars shadow types.I know the Hardwired formula is included in their newer Narsissist Most Wanted eyeshadow palette.I just checked the description on that palette on Sephora and it doesn’t say the formulas included in it but I read it was somewhere.

I’ve got 2 of the Hardwired shadows (and would have got a 3rd except I’ve got 2 dupes for it) and like them very much but several of the ones released in 2016 were not very good – really sheer and lots of fallout.
These colors are really exciting to me, Pink, peach, and purples are my favorite shades of eyeshadow on myself – but I wonder what the texture will be like. I’m seriously limiting my buying these days, so I won’t be picking it up on a whim but I am interested to see when reviews start coming.

Very pretty shades for brightening the eye area. Definately seeing a trend here, though. This palette, the new Soft something ABH Palette, TF White Peach and some smaller offerings. Wondering if this spring/ summer we will be inundated with pastels…hmm?
I personally wouldn’t mind, as it will help me save money, LOL! I’m not a fan of pastels, and I’m trying to not buy anything (with NARS being one of a few exceptions), so I won’t be tempted. Plus, it’ll be a nice change for those who are over, or can’t do, the warm/rich trend that we were just inundated with.
Yes, the ABH Soft Glam uses these shades, too. Good eye!
I like this metallic/shimmer trend. It means I don’t buy any makeup and save money lol.
This is one I definitely need to see IRL, or at least solid swatches (like on this site!) before making any decisions. I like the purples, white, and pale pink, but I don’t *need* them, if the promo pic is a solid representation.
Shadows? When I saw the pic up top, my first thought was “highlighter palette”. Not for me!

When I first saw this I got all excited because I thought it was a blush/highlight palette but knowing it’s eye shadow makes it less interesting to me. Shades are all so light!
NARS eyeshadow can be hit or miss, unlike their blushes. I’ll wait for your review but after seeing the video on Sephora I’m intrigued.

On the fence with this one. I like soft colors for spring but unsure about all of the sparkIe. And don’t want colors that look almost identical when applied. The Nars product description is a little confusing – apply it sheer for an unexpected pop of color? Hmmm…

The middle shade in the upper row looks beautiful. The others… I think they are okay.
Too light for me (style wise) and looks like a mini highlighter palette. Easy pass for me. Thank God!
Mostly not my style, but the Farscape nerd in me is still making grabby hands at it just for the Aeryn Sun.
I bought the new eyeshadow compact as well as the blush compact after I viewed on their site how they can be used. I am a fair skin redhead and I am 69 years old, so I study the videos well as I don’t want to look like a clown! I am blessed with only a few wrinkles, co that is a plus. I also purchased their new longwear foundation, which is terrific. Applying the new shades as shown in the videos, I achieved a look of spring which to me is waking from the darkness of winter into the energy and fun of the coming months. If applied well, the look is not all shine, but a subtle shimmer in the right places. Go to their store and try it first. I think you will be pleasantly surprised!
