This is a good one to reissue periodically. The minis aren’t too mini, and the shades are so wearable for most skintones. Not exciting, workhorse. Almost thought free, as the shades can go with most m/u looks. If you can replenish minis, less go off factor than with full size. It’s a pretty good thing they goofed on a batch and accidentally created L2.
They’ve done this one before..
A large portion of her base is young, so they may not have the resources to buy both shades in the full-size versions, or may not be able to decide between the two. I personally wish *all* brands released their most popular/”wearable” shades in minis like this as a permanent offering, or at least periodically. I absolutely disagree with most of what Kat von D says/does, and think given her desired demographic she has taken many missteps, but this is actually not only brilliant marketing (for both new & established followers), as she can put out a “new” offering to maintain traction, but not make followers jump through hoops to get a product they may not be able to afford at the moment, yet she still has something to post on SM.
I personally don’t wear lipstick every day, so I find it hard to spend $20 on one product, that will likely go “off” before I even come close to finishing it, but at $10 each, it’s far more palatable, and because they are smaller, I stand a better chance of using it up. That said, I will pass on this duo, only because I don’t like the shades, particularly in this format, but if/when she releases a “vampy” duo, I may just jump on it, even if the shades are available full-size.
