NYX Lime Nail Lacquer
NYX Lime Nail Lacquer
NYX Lime Salon Formula Nail Polish ($4.00 for 0.52 fl. oz.) is a bright lime green with chartreuse shimmer. It’s vibrant and the right mix of shimmer and metallic, because you get some of the brush strokes of a metallic finished polish but they’re easy to control to get into straight line. China Glaze Cha Cha Cha is much greener, while Butter London Dosh is a darker green. China Glaze Electric Pineapple is similar in color but has a cream finish. Illamasqua Radium is a touch greener and while it also has shimmer, it’s much subtler and green rather than chartreuse.
Unfortunately, this shade was not opaque after two coats, which was a bummer! It’s such a pretty shade (and will be perfect for summer), but it needs some help in the pigmentation department. The consistency isn’t too thick or thin, but I didn’t love the way three coats felt–they did feel a bit heavy. When I initially tested out NYX’s new formula, this was one of the shades I specifically tested for wear, and after a week, I had no chipping, just minor tip wear (which is par for the course).

Any chance you will review the new NYX Matte Lipstick line? They’re not in stores yet (up here) and they’ve been sold out on most online venders I get my NYX products from.
I don’t have any, sorry!
Wow, such a nice green! It really is a shame that it’s so sheer though.
This is very unique, but I’m not sure how I would like it on myself!
The new packaging look a lot like Deborah Lippmann! Great review like alaways Christine 🙂
Great colour, I love yellow-green shades like this!
This is a great color for spring. I might pick this one up, I really don’t have any greens of this hue. I’ve used NYX nail polish before and I have no complaints about the formula.
Yeah it looks a bit streaky in your pics. I’m still oddly drawn to this color though…
gahhhh!! This is the nail polish color of my childhood!! I believe the first nail polish i ever bought was this color and by this brand called heaven nail polish. I bought it for 1 dollar, loved and wore it till it was completely gone:( When i tried to find the same bottle, it seemed to have vanished. I continued my life trying to buy nail polishes that seemed the same but were not. Hopefully nail polish companies come to their senses and make a better version of this color ASAP!!
Wow, the bright color drew me in right away! *o* Too bad about the pigmentation… The color is gorgeous.
The color isn’t too great, but I never knew Nyx’s bottle designs were exactly like Lippmann’s!
NYX is far and away my favorite makeup brand, but nail polish really isn’t their strong suit. I was hoping that might change with this new line, but I guess not!
OMG, packaging is a total DL dupe!!
Everything except the rubberized cap!
Il reminds me of Revlon’s “Beach”, that came out last summer.
Maybe the Revlon one was more green, but I think the idea is the same.
OPI had a very similar shade, I think it was the first by Serena Williams, the one the looked like a tennis ball.
It’s practically the same color.
