Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Ha, that’s what I thought too. It’s a shame because the shades are right up my alley. I love the I-live-in-an-opium-den look I can get with these rich shades, but I ended up returning mine because it’s too much effort for a look that shouldn’t require that much effort. Even on sale it’s not worth repurchasing (at least not for me). Makeup Revolution is known for creating palette dupes and they just released one for Subculture, so I’m going to wait on swatches and reviews of that instead.

I know I’m one of approximately 4.3 people on Earth but I really like Subculture. Yes, it’s time consuming and difficult to use but I love the colors and if I have time, it looks beautiful. Anyway, kind of peeved I paid full price for it since it wasn’t that long ago and now I could get it for $33.60 plus another 20% off… oh well!

I much prefer these colors over the MR but even at that price, I’m not sure I have the patience to work with it. My favorite palette is MUFE’s holiday palette. It’s so easy to apply and blend quickly. I’ve been reaching for it everyday.

Regarding Nancy’s comment–did Anastasia change manufacturing after the initial problems with the release? The pigments are packed more densely to produce less powderiness?

I just got Subculture once I saw it was on sale and after using it a few days, its gorgeous. Just different enough from Prism for me and its great for my blue eyes. I wish I had it for the Fall, but it should work well for winter anyway.
