I always write the QOTDs in advance (usually a week’s worth!),
so it’s not quite close enough to NYE for me to know… My guess is I’ll be working through some of the MUFE eyeshadows–getting closer to the end of testing. I’ll be hanging out at home, so nobody will be surprised at makeup that has no rhyme or reason 😉

No idea but as we’re staying in, I can pretty much wear what I want. I haven’t used MAC Humid in ages and so may do a look that centers around it.
First NYE out for me in 22+ years. Going to dinner with my daughter but taking advantage of being out on the holiday so I’m going to do a festive eye look using the glitter shadow I just bought from LA Splash (I’m an affiliate) in Bloody Mary. Straight up true red glitter! Not sure what I’m pairing it with yet but whatever I do, I suspect it will be more subtle against the OTT eye look.
I’m going to do a purple eye look with UD Plague, MELT Promiscuous, and Notoriously Morbid Walkin on Sunshine.
Cheeks will be more neutral with Blackbird Kitten Kiss blush and ColourPop Teasecake highlighter.
Not sure what I’m going to do for lips but something dark like Make Up For Ever #49, ColourPop Feminist, or UD Blackmail.
Since all I intend to do today is (hopefully) go to my meeting later on and grab a few groceries, it’s anyone’s guess! I don’t even know what clothing I’ll have on, because I’m going through some very serious clothes/closet boredom lately. As in; I open the closet doors and just stare. Aimlessly. In abject boredom. ?
Probably just a fresh lip balm, it’s my sisters BD and though we’re going out of the house for half the day, I’m feeling unwell. All of my energy will be conserved for festivities.
It will actually probably be an assortment of masks, ha.
I’m going to a nice dinner with friends, so I’ll probably do something classic like smokey eyes, burgundy lips, and false eyelashes. But I have a bunch of holographic and glitter makeup that I would wear if I was going somewhere dancey. Maybe next weekend!
I’m already wearing some foundation and shimmery bronzer (MUFE Ultra HD and Becca Poured in Topaz) so I think I might do a silvery/blue/lilac/gray eye look! Something about NYE just makes me want to play with icy shades. There’s so many I might use but some of my options are: KvD Tinsel, KvD Ignite, MUG High Wire, Nars Parallax, ColourPop Liberty, or some combo of the above! I was just going to hang out alone at home but then earlier a friend invited me to a casual NYE party, so now I have an excuse to add eye makeup.
None! I’ll be at home relaxing with my husband! 🙂
I am planning to wear one of my favourite eyeshadow and lip combos – Olive green and gold eye, with ginger lip.

I am so staying in tonight…it was -5° here this morning and I have no desire to go out in the bitter cold. Figure i’ll do a “pamper my skin” night in and indulge in a sheet mask. Maybe some exfoliation and plucking thrown in for good measure! The highlight of my day was my Steelers won their NYE day game so I’m a happy camper. Gonna make some diner and crawl under a blanket and see if I can find a good movie on cable. Happy New Year to all!!!

Thick, big cat-eye using Tarte Clay Pot Liner in Black. UD Troublemake Mascara. LIPS — UD Vice Lipstick in Wildfire. FACE — e.l.f. Mineral Infused Face Primer; Lancome Teint Idole 24H Long Lasting Foundation in 140 (Ivoire) mixed with some white, e.l.f. HD Powder in Sheer, Sephora Tranquil (contour), Milani Rose Powder Blush in Coral Cove, and e.l.f. Baked HL in Apricot Glow.
No makeup for me. We prefer to stay home and since its 0 degrees Fahrenheit and much colder with windchills I’m happy we are. I hope everyone has a wonderful NYE and a happy and healthy 2018.
Happy NewYear to all! Hubby & I usually celebrate New Years dancing away at a hotel but this year I cane down with a cold and although much better still coughing and congested so decided to sleep iver at moms with my son, nephews and then going for brunch today all together. I wore leggings and sweater nothing fancy as it is usually. Ni heels either. Just cozy and fun. I did wear foundation and the regular process. Experimented one night with my new Nyx delivery and today is Colourpop eyeshadows.
I spent New Year’s Eve skiing, so a full face of makeup wasn’t very practical, but I dabbed Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter liner in Glam Rock all over my lids so I at least got to wear a little sparkle! 🙂 Other than that, I just wore sunscreen.
I didn’t go crazy because I wanted to be able to remove it easily at someone else’s house. I used Makeup Revolution Flawless Mattes 32 Palette, elf Aqua Beauty Molten Liquid Eyeshadow in Rose Gold, Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Paaarty, Urban Decay Afterglow Highlighter in Sin, and Clinique Almost Lipstick in Pink Honey.
I was in bed with a fever, so I wore my current favourite tinted lip balm so I didn’t look like a corpse.
And a cold compress.
