We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! I really like it!

I’m still debating whether to get Taupe Notch but this ticks all the boxes for me – warm tones, golds and purples, yum. VV shadows work really well for me and as dumb as the names are, at least they’re not overtly sexual or creepy, like Age of Consent, etc. Tom Ford and Marc Jacobs etc are creative powerhouses for sure, but I wish they thought more about women than just as consumers and $$$…

I swear we’ve seen this exact same palette released six times in the last four months. Also, way to beat Urban Decay for the Trying Too Hard With Your Shade Names award.

Nancy T, I’m with you. This palette is undoubtedly stunning, and if I didn’t have dupes for all of them, I would consider purchasing it. As for the shade names……: ?????. Honestly, I have no idea what most of these acronyms mean. I’m forty-eight years old and text (which I still struggle with!) in full sentences. I also still write handwritten letters to friends and family. Showing my age? Probably. Do I care. Probably not!

“All 20 beautiful shades work well with every skin tone.”

My pet peeve is anyone in the beauty community making this claim, because it’s absolutely not true. It’s nothing more than sophomoric sales rhetoric (aka: BS)! It’s cringe worthy. There’s a few YT’ers who do this all the time, as they show us their 96th shade of nude lipstick followed by, “Anyone can wear this.” And, when I hear that in-store, I immediately say: Thanks anyway, but I’m going to keep looking. (Thinking: Nice-talking-to-you. See-ya-bye.)

I think the colors are pretty sweet and the color names are supposed to represent popular social media “hash tags”, hence the palette name. 🙂

I actually find the shades really appealing, but I think all Violet Voss is made in China. I’ve been really sick of the hit and miss products that are made in China, so I think I’ve finally decided to not buy anything else that was made in China.

This is an easy pass for me although it contains shades that I absolutely love. I can never have too many shades of purple! But, I have only ever purchased one thing from VV and that was the original Holy Grail palette and the over-hype, short supply, re-release a few days later just did me in. I swore then to not purchase anything else and I am not going to change now. Luckily, there are plenty of other palettes with this same colorway and I already own most of them. I don’t even know what some of these names mean which is always a little unnerving for me. I know I am older but really, just give us simple names with no hidden meaning or agenda and not sexualized.

I WANT THIS PALETTE!!! I don’t need it but I really want it! I know have most of these shades in about 3 other palettes but I don’t have anything from this brand and the swatches I’ve seen on line are gorgeous! PURPLES! GOLDS! ORANGES! My fav colors all in one palette! Also, at $45, I can wait until it is deeply discounted! #HASHTAG will be on my birthday wish list! ?

I’m tempted by this as I bypassed all the recently released similar palettes- Huda Desert Dusk, ND Sunset and Lila. This feels like a nice combination of those. I did buy Naked Heat but don’t see too many dupes there. I’ll wait for reviews. I’m so not the target audience for those shade names though. Ick.

I just got my first Violet Voss Palette form Sephora last month, I like the formula so I can def see myself picking this up. Why oh Why are they continuing to fail with product names?

Leaving the hideous names aside, I’m really on the fence about this one! I don’t know, does anyone else think the promo picture is kinda misleading? Because when I went and did an image search on this palette, it looked way less vibrant and more washed out than in the pics i’ve seen from VV. Ugh, it was pretty disheartening. I’m looking forward to your review to help me think this one over, other wise I’m sure I’ve got quite a few of these dupe-wise.
