Creme de la Mer mega-sized jar, just so I could give it to my mom!
Thanks to Kinesha for today’s question! Got a question idea? Submit yours here.
Probably a Guerlain skincare product…day or night cream!
I would say Tarte Amazonian Clay blush or Anastasia brow kit and stencils. That is luxury for me. I guess some people would pick Dior or Chanel but I’m used to drug store things and the two I picked would be a luxury for me!
Peggy, I say do it! I have the Tarte blush in several colors. I’m pale, so I use Exposed. If your complexion is deeper, I’d try something brighter, like Natural Beauty. I’m getting that for a friend and I can’t wait to see it on her!
a ghd straightner, or a really expensive blowdryer
or clairsonic.
or that cream that mariah had that has diamonds on it. unnecessary!
Giogio Armani Eyes to Kill Intense Eyeshadow
A Clarisonic! I just can’t ever justify buying it.
Agreed!
2nd!
Of all the beauty things ive ever bought (oodles!) There is nothing ive been more pleasantly surprised with than the Clarisonic. It could just be me but it completely changed my skins texture for the better, something no other skin care product has ever been able to do. GET IT!
AGREED! My (moderate to severe, painful) acne cleared up almost completely just from adding the Clarisonic to my regimen. Get it, its worth every cent and more.
I can honestly say I’ve never had anything else make such a drastic difference in my skin care and beauty regimen. Not even close.
Totes!
Yeah I would like a really great blow dryer, and I’m curious to see if a similar flat iron would actually make my short hair lie flat. It’s always sticking up if it’s shorter 2 inches. Anyone have any ideas?
I would get Guerlain’s L’or Primer! Even with my discount it is a bit much but I ADORE it! Either that or their SOS serum!
Last time I tried in a make-over, my skin reacted to it. How does it fare to you?
Guerlain balls or lipstick or eyeshadow palette!!
A temptu…it looks majorly fun, but I can’t see it being something I’d use everyday, especially if I was in a rush to get ready in the morning.
Tom ford brushes..I have no problem dropping money on MAC brushes but Tom Ford.. I cringe when I see those brush prices and I never cringe.. =[
I am weirdly excited that Christine picked my question! And I agree with the Tom Ford brushes. Amazing, but extremely expensive.
Ah! Tom Ford brushes…got the bronzer brush….the other Tom Ford brushes are similar to MAC or Shu Uemura, but not this bronzer brush which was so grand…never seen one like it in my 30 years.
creme de la mer any product…still the best….sisley or santa maria novella comes a second close
Cle de Peau concealer!
Actually anything by Cle de Peau. 😛
I’d say an airbrush machine.
me2
This might count as me cheating a bit, but I’d get this thing => http://www.mywomenstuff.com/2008/09/08/anna-sui-makeup-dresser-fall-2008/
Here’s a more detailed view of the drawer => http://www.atouchofblusher.com/2008/06/to-buy-or-not-to-buy-anna-sui-makeup-color-collection-d.html
I love your answer, Christine 🙂
The new Cle de Peau Vintage palette. But even I’m not paying $125 for it!
Shiseido Future Solution face cream (black pot) – I once had a deluxe sample of this and it is by far the best moisturizer I’ve ever used.
And maybe Teint Delectation or Or de Rose, which are both foundations by By Terry.
Foundation, face cream and perfume are the only things on which I would consider spending more than 50 euros (approx. 70 dollars).
I would get the largest bottle of Joy Perfume by Jean Patou possible.
my grandmother always wore it.
I would choose a Tom Ford lipstick. Or a D&G lipstick. Or a Burberru lipstick. Or an Armani lipstick. So it would definitely be a lipstick – I’m crazy about ’em
I do occasionally buy a Burberry one. I urge you to splurge and try one. They are amazing!
1) A Clarisonic. Such a big initial outlay!
2) A really top-quality epilator.
3) Not ONE thing, but a bunch of full-size Shu Uemura brushes. I have the 18G foundation brush, and the 5F eye liner brush, and they are beyond the beyond. AMAZING.
Anything from Cle de Peau
Maybe the Tom Ford makeup brushes (all of them!). Or maybe Algenist serum.
Just got the Tom Ford bronzer/ powder blush. Fantabalistic!!!! So soft and dense.
Nars Bento Box!
Just to look at. Its far too expensive and far too limited edition me to use.
Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte in Fetish Pink
how do you narrow this down to just one? la mer, the erno laszo marinetime day cream, several guerlain sisley clarins and darphin products!
I’ve been lusting after the SKII serum for a while. It’s just so expensive that I haven’t been able to commit.
That’s my choice too! Cate Blanchett always looks so gorgeous and amazing, but I am sure she has good genes too.
Great question, I’m really enjoying reading everyone’s responses =)
ANY Guerlain palette: I have resisted but if I was wealthy I’d buy them and never use them – the way they look is just exquisite.
(A side note on clarisonic – probably not worth it if you have problem skin: I have big pores and very oily skin that get spots all the time etc. and clairsonic hasn’t addressed any of these problems.)
Probably one of the new Tom Ford lipsticks! I’m thinking about treating myself to one for christmas but $54 for lipstick?! $30 is generally my limit!
Been eyeing Annick Goutal body lotion in Eau d’Hadrian lately . . . it’s not crazy expensive but it’s more than Lubriderm!
Guerlain Meteorites or a Clarisonic with many extra brush heads 😛
A Michael Kors Eyeshadow Palette!!!
Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte in any color lol. I just cant justify paying so much for a lipstick but I love the creaminess and of course the packaging is great!
A full set of Hakuhodo brushes and something from Guerlain or Metier de Beute. Maybe something from Tom Ford.
I’ve been lemming Chanel Epatante e/s for a long time.
Clarisonic PLUS Sonic Skin Cleansing System… not just the Mia, but the best available one… since we are talking luxury.
My answer is not very unique -probably Guerlain Météorites Powder or a Clarisonic!
That’s a toughie. I’m intrigued by Bvlgari Jasmin Noir, but I need more perfume like I need a hole in the head…
A makeup dresser similar to the one seen on Keeping Up with the Kardashians. I think it was $300.
Yes! Those are beautiful. I was able to get a 7 drawer one on ebay for a little over $200, and the less drawers=cheaper. You can get the 4 drawer one which is pretty big for about $120. Play around on ebay, you might find an even better price.
Good idea! I really love how elegant they are, been on my “someday” wishlist for a while!
The la mer holiday gift set with the original cream and eye cream!
The Silk’n Sens Epil is a mega luxury that I would love to have but couldn’t see myself spending the money on it–nearly all of my other wishes (the parure gold foundation, the nars fancy kabuki eyeshadow palette) I could get for myself without guilt.
hmm… To be honest, it would probably be MAC’s Ripe Peach. I know it’s not a pricey item at the retail selling point and the scalped prices online aren’t out of my price range, but I just couldn’t live with myself to pay more than I would have in the store had I just got it when I had the chance.
Otherwise, I’d buy Tom Ford’s 8.4 oz Jasmin Rouge perfume for $475.
I would buy all the Chanel cream eyeshadows lol but if it’s just one item I had to choose, it would probably be the Laura Mercier foundation, I’ve heard many great things about it 🙂
Rae Morris 26 piece professional brush set (price $899).
La Mer Moisturizing Gel Cream ($250)
I got Creme de la Mer for my bday and I truly love it! I would buy either the La mer serum, Guerlain orchidee imperial cream or Armani’s Crema Nera.
Guerlain anything…Meteorites or lippies. Without a counter nearby to gauge whether I’d be tolerant of their violet scented everything, I can’t justify laying down money for anything of theirs. I don’t want a product that will make me feel ill, and it’d be such a hassle to buy it online and deal with returning it.
A private consultation with Renee Rouleau.
Anything from the Armani Crema Nera line!!!!!!!
The Makeup Forever Flash palette. I would love to have it, but I can’t justify the cost!
Probably one of the Guerlain lipstick shades. It’s the thing I’m most likely to get a return on in terms of the use.
Chanel lipstick in Dragon.
Guerlain bronzer
SK-II anti-aging skin care, giant size, for my mom.
Chanel Rouge Allure Laque Dragon, of course.
Chanel #5
La Mer or Cle de Peau products
Ladies, bite the bullet and purchase a Clarisonic. Life changing. I went from cystic acne to people stopping me and complimenting my complexion.
