I adore metallic nailpolish, it gives the nail depth and if they’re really pigmented they are also awesome to stamp onto the nail with.
They can be streaky sometimes which isn’t always pretty, but that happens usually only with the cheaper brands.

I adore Trafalgar Square! The funky, unique design the magnet produces make it fun and super trendy. It chips like crazy though, even with Seche Vite. So you may want to plan it as a same-day manicure.

I have Barry M foil nail effects in silver and gold and they’re disappointing, nothing like foil and just basic gold/silver polishes. I tend to never go for metallic polishes but I do like them, especially a metallic other colour such as that Rimmel blue shiny nail polish…

I don’t know the finer differences between metallic and foil or if they are one and the same but I find what is described as a foil difficult to remove. I like metallics but some formula’s will streak on me and require a very steady hand. I wear all finishes of nail polish and I find that each finish is as important as the other.

I absolutely love Nails, Inc. magnetic polish. It dries fast and has depth. It has a 3D effect in sunlight.

I consider glitter polishes to be metallic since they have metallic particles. One major dislike is removal — you have to WORK to get it off. I did discover a trick: Use a cotton square (ball) saturated w/remover and hold it firmly to the nail for ~15-30 seconds prior to wiping the polish off. It loosens the glitter particles and saves on the amount of time/cotton needed for removal.

Glitter is sparkly and makes me happy. I’ve always been drawn to shiny, sparkly things, so of course I’m drawn to glitter polishes.

I love metallic polishes! They’re a nice way to spice things up. If you don’t feel bold enough to do a full metallic manicure, they look nice as tips, polka dots, stripes, whatever. And if glitter is considered metallic, I’m a sucker for glitter polishes. I especially love glitter gradient manicures over a nude base coat :]

I’m not a fan. I feel like I can see every ridge and imperfection in my nails when I wear metallic polish, so I prefer regular cream color or straight up glitter!

I LOVE LOVE LOVEEEE metallic nail polishes, because they are natually edgy on their own. Even if they come out really streaky on the nails I put clear right over it to fix it.

It’s also a great way to do simple nail designs with it, such as french tips and dots~! Its always more striking than using polishes with a cream finish.

I love how metallic polishes look, but they always seem to chip off at the tips way faster than regular or glitter polishes, no matter what I do. I don’t think I’ve ever gone even 3 days without a metallic polish chipping on me.

Metallics/Foils are what I have fewest of. I can actually only think of five out of the couple hundred (hey, don’t judge me- this is an addiction) polishes I own that are metallic. For me the imperfections stand out too much and I don’t like the streaky finishes. They also seem to chip pretty fast.
