Look: Subtle Green Eyes

Look:  Subtle Green Eyes

This was my attempt to use the new Giorgio Armani palette along with Illamasqua’s Beguile pigment (it really started because of Beguile, though).

You will need the following…

  • Eyes: NARS Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Primer (primer), Illamasqua Beguile Pure Pigment (iridescent glitter), Giorgio Armani #1 Jacquard Eyeshadow Palette (light green, dark green, beige), Illamasqua Havoc Precision Ink Liner (burgundy), shu uemura Glitter Mascara (glitter), Hourglass Film Noir Mascara
  • Face:  Make Up For Ever Lift Foundation, Guerlain Les Violettes Mineral Powder (03), shu uemura Rouge Luster Lustrous Glow Powder (shimmering pink)
  • Lips:  shu uemura Rouge Luster Rouge Unlimited (shimmery beige-rose)

For eyes, start by laying down your eyeshadow primer all over the lid and until the brow.  Apply Beguile eyeshadow on the lid with the 239 (dampened with mixing medium).  In the crease, gently brush the lighter green eyeshadow with the 222 and diffuse above the crease.  Apply the darker green eyeshadow in the inner crease with the 239.  Use Havoc eyeliner on the lower lash line and layer Beguile on top.  Finish lashes with Film Noir mascara and one coat of Glitter mascara.

For face, apply Lift all over face with the 193.  Add color to the cheeks by gently dusting Rouge Luster  near apples and blended out towards temples with the 116.  Set with Les Violettes with the 134.

For lips, apply Rouge Luster onto lips.

I’m not a fan of green eyeshadow, probably because it looks nasty with my green eyes.
However, if one is going to wear green eyeshadow, this is the way to do it, in my opinion. This look doesn’t scream, “LOOK AT MY EYESHADOW, IT’S GREEEEEN!” Instead, it just highlights the eyes, like good eye makeup is supposed to do.

I’m digging it, Christine. Very pretty. I feel like it’s been ages since we’ve seen a look from you. Maybe I’m imagining things. It’s a welcome sight either way. 🙂

Hi Christine, I love this look! I’m looking for the Shu Blush on the website and I can’t find the blush color that you used. Is this something that is no longer available?
Thanks
Stacy

Hi Christine! Do you think that you could take a couple of pics of you wearing Shimmermint e/s before the collection’s release this week. Thank you.

Its an interesting look up close it looks like browns and greys to me but it wasn’t until the full face photo that the green stood out 🙂 too subtle for me but I like it

I have to say when I saw the home page and just saw the one eye I thought “meh, looks kinda boring”. But when I saw the full face picture the reaction was “OMG, SO PRETTY”. I’m totally loving it, it’s subtle enough for work and then I can smoke it out a little bit if I want to go out after, but I don’t think that’s even THAT necessary.

LOVE the lip color as well as the cheeks. I’m hoping you are doing a review on those items. Especially on the lip color… I would love a color like that.
