If you could only take one palette on holiday with you, which would it be?

If you could only take one palette on holiday with you, which would it be? Share!

I’ve been grabbing Urban Decay’s Naked palette for nearly every trip I’ve gone on since it came out. I also have others I take, too, but Naked is the one constant.

Thanks to Mela for today’s question! Got a question idea? Submit yours here.

Yes the Yaby ones are great and my custom inglot 5 or 10 pan palette.

My custom magnetic were i can put in my own shadows from different brands is usually what i set up for trips actually. ^_^

I don’t usually go on trips longer than a weekend, so I just bring a little neutral quad. I didn’t have it last time I went but next time I will probably take my Stila E! Red Carpet eyeshadow quad, it’s perfect for what I need and sturdy.

Of course my first thought was the Naked palette, but actually I think I’d prefer The Balm’s The Balm & the Beautiful just for the increased variety of colors & the cheek/lip stains :-).

Ditto on this one. I wish the top had a more secure closure, but I still find that it has better neutrals than Naked and some of my favorite colors of all time!

My Urban Decay Naked Palette! I have went on vacation 2 times so far and this is all I brought for eye makeup or eyeshadow and it was more then enough! ^_^

Probably the UD Anniversary palette. It’s got some neutrals, and it has some colors! If I were just doing an overnight, I might grab something smaller, but that would have to do with what clothes I brought with me. When in doubt on an overnight, when I’m trying to fit everything in a small makeup bag, I tend to grab my WnW Lust palette. But I wear plums quite a bit.

I would take my Kat von D Ludwig true romance palette because it has the perfect balance of neutrals, colors, and smokey colors. and its a great way to try colors.

Of all things, I have a Victoria Jackson palette I had bought in support of a charity awhile ago. I never expected to use it as much as I do, but the eyeshadows are surprisingly good. It remains my go-to for matte shades, and it’s the most portable one.

I passed up on the UD Naked palette for the Ammo one last time I was at Sephora, but I might go ahead and grab it on my next visit after seeing all the positive feedback for it on your site. 🙂

I totally 2nd the Tarte True Blood Palette. I’ve found myself using it a lot and only using other palettes for my brow colour or a highlighter.

Too Faced Natural Eye palette. I usually go for neutral looks, anyway, so I could get a lot of use out of it. I also like that there are both shimmery and matte shades and that they’re all coordinated in rows to create different looks.

If I could only take one palette, I would pick Urban Decay 15th anniversary eye shadow palette (I hope I got the name right :P). Nice neutral and a few colorful colors. However, it is a little bit hard to pack since the lid and the palette itself are two separate parts and don’t have a closure, but the colors are just gorgeous.

I usually grab my Urban Decay’s Book of Shadows vol.2 ’cause it is very complete, great to travel with and doesn’t take much space. Once I took my UD’s Summer of Love palette and the mirror crashed!! TT___TT

I would take the Too Faced Sweet Dreams Palette as its a boon to a cosmetic junkie…….Has got everything one needs except a lipgloss which I will carry spare and also a mascara!

I also love the Naked palette but I think I would take Too Faced’s Enchanted Glamourland. It has some lovely neutrals but also some brights AND it holds a blush that is so flattering on me and Snow Bunny Bronzer plus a space to hold TFSI and a gloss or lipstick (the one that came with it isn’t a good shade for me). The packaging it bulky and awkward but it holds everything I need save for a liner, foundation and concealer.

I’m a lipstick person so I’d be totally fine with a cool toned small neutral palette like the BECCA prairie moon one. I must be the only person on this planet that the naked palette isn’t working for! (not enough mattes, too warm!)

Naked by Urban Decay. I took it on my honeymoon and never needed any other eye shadows. I use it a lot. I like to use the darker shades as eyeliner by wetting the brush.

Sass Avatar

UD Alice in Wonderland BOS cuz it’s got darks, neutrals and vibrant colors in it. The packaging is durable and I can carry Zero and Bourbon pencils in it too. I would have said Naked first, but depending on where I’m going on holiday that palette may be too neutral.

MAC Holiday 2008 Fascinating Ruby palette – perfect for grey or brown smokey eyes which are probably the only looks I’ll want on holiday.

Lulle Avatar

I often bring one of the instalments of Too Faced Glamour To Go palettes when I go on vacation. They’re really sleek and they have a nice variety of shades and products.

Mel Avatar

Naked palette for sure, on a trip I don’t want to have to worry about whether the clothes I packed coordinate with my makeup and Naked goes with everything and I can go from day to night easily with it.

Sarah Avatar

I would say the Naked palette, but it doesn’t have everything in it. I’m going to go with my NYX Champagne and Caviar palette. It’s got everything, including my brow powder. 🙂

ElisaLoveWestIndies Avatar

I’ve got only one palette, it’s sleek storm. So, i’d take it. But, my favourite eyeshadow is “Satellite dreams” by MAC. So, when i leave house, i always take my satellite dreams eyeshadow 🙂

Sara Avatar

Naked for me too. When it comes to taking eyeshadows with me, the Naked palette absolutely guarantees that all my shadows will match and blend well together!

Girl Hearts Makeup Avatar

I’d take my Smashbox Softbox palette. I haven’t been anywhere for any trip lately but if I were to go on vacation I’d take that.. except it’s limited edtn so I’ll be really upset if the airport loses my luggage!

Krista Avatar

Wet ‘n’ Wild’s Walking on Eggshells. I’ve been using it every single day for the past 2 months now and have no complains, so I would definitely have to have this by my side at all times!
