I think it’s incandescent, but I’m not 100% sure since it’s whatever lighting came with my apartment!

Natural daylight! My makeup is currently on my deep-set window sill, so I get perfect natural light! But if the sun has gone down already, it’s one of those GE daylight bulbs. Soft white is way too yellow for me xP

I use 2 cool light bulbs and 1 warm. i kinda mixed them to get a natural light feel. but i still think its still yellowy so im looking for the best vanity light.

I prefer natural sunlight (but not too bright). I like it when the window is right in front of my makeup table so the light will be even. Went to stay over at a friend’s house once and his window is on the right side of the table, I ended up with a much heavier look on my right side than my left side because the sunlight washed everything out….

DAYLIGHT!! i really need daylight because i have very pale skin.. and when i’m not carefully with applying make up it turs out too orange, or too yellow very fast!.. so day light is a must for me!!

My husband got me an OttLite Natural Makeup Mirror, it’s a great light but it really shows up all the imperfection b/c the lighting is so crisp. I also use another light to light up my area b/c the Ottlite still isn’t enough in my dark make-up corner.

I’ve got those GE Reveal incandescent bulbs (which are supposed to look more natural) in my bathroom light fixtures but I also use a Jerdon make-up mirror which has flourescent bulbs for close up work.

Same here: GE Reveal for the vanity and a decent CFL for the rest of the bathroom. If I’m going to be shameless about the vanity lights, I might as well make up for it using CFLs where I don’t need accurate lighting. Or something.

I use whatever i have in the ceiling light thingamajiggy. When i do my makeup in the evening ready for a night out, and i turn the main light on, my makeup turns flawless, but i just have daylight in my room, then my makeup doesnt look as good as it did in the evening. I also have one of those mirrors that my makeup looks horrid in, but when i look in another mirror, it looks amazing.

I use daylight whenever I can because the light in my room/bathroom is too dim and far too yellow. If I apply makeup using that light I end up putting on too much and looking like a clown.

I do my make up in the kitchen, because it has the best natural and artificial light. The light bulbs are white (fluorescent? I’m not sure) and it helps me see exactly what I’m doing and how much color I put on.
On the other hand, when I ‘m doing a night makeup, I always overdo it a bit or else I look washed out in a bar or club etc.

Hi everyone! well I was wondering if you guys can hep me out, I live in a downstairs inlaw with very little natural lighting so where I have my vanity set up I’ve been using my ceiling lights which kind of make the lighting yellow and its annoying. Should I get a floor lamp and put a natural light bulb facing towards my vanity mirror? or should I just change my light bulbs on the ceiling lights ( this is a old house so the ceiling lights are old fashioned flushmount lighting) thanks any recommendations would be appreciated.
