Didn’t CT recently come out with a palette that looks like a very late-to-the-party copy of UD’s original Naked palette. I guess there are some who like the status of having CT or who really like her formula (though I understand with that palette – Instant Eyes – there are some problems with the texture of some of the shades) but I feel pretty much like you do, Nancy. A cheek and eye palette is a great thing to have but there’s nothing earthshakingly unique about this one.

To be fair, this statement can be understood from her brand perspective, and in that sense she’s presenting “never before seen” (as in brand new for her line) shades with “cult classics” (obviously talking about her line’s classics like bar of gold and filmstar bronze).

I am pretty sure she hasn’t had the cheek colors and the matte black before in her line of shadows and pallettes.

I will most likely pass on both this and the Instant Eye, as I happen to have too many similar products, but for anyone interested: Wayne Goss uploaded a video comparing the two. He does not seem to love the Instant “Naked” like pallette quality-wise, but says this one is exactly like the quads quality wise and he recommends it.

Yes, it’s a poor choice of words and pretty consistent with CT’s approach. Every time I see a video of her selling her products, it always comes off like she is not aware there are thousands of alternatives on the market. What is so unique about this?

I have the beauty glow palette and I use it when I travel. Works well for travel size brushes… or you do it in really tiny strokes. I think getting one of these is enough. CT is having tough time jumping out of the box they put themselves in it seems!

This is exactly why I put these on my wishlist and ultimately delete them. I use blush every day, but have used bronzer only a handful of times, and highlighter maybe twice in my life. Having the blush bigger and the bronzer/highlighter smaller would have been a better idea. After all, not everybody is dressing up for YouTube or Instagram.

Very pretty. But extremely late and dupeable. Also, why is that blush shade so small? Do they expect people to apply their blush with a eyeshadow brush?

I spent quite a bit of money buying my daughter and I the “vintage vamp” look which came with the four pan shadow, a lip pencil and a lipstick. We purchased them at Nordstroms in Vancouver Canada while on vacation last year. Both of us agree these were the worst shadows we’ve ever used. She has super oily eye lids so maybe they didn’t blend or wear well for her because of that but I have pretty “normal” lids. Love the matte revolution lippies but won’t buy anymore shadows.

This is just my humble hooded eye opinion. But this would never be a all in one palette for me, just looking at the eye shadows. I need at least one medium shade in between a matte transition and a matte charcoal/black. Thats too much of a jump for me and my struggle to blend-already!

Christine, will you be reviewing this palette? Saw your swatches a few days back and while I’m not so sure about the black, it still looks like a fantastic work appropriate travel set. A bit pricey though, so I’m really torn whether it’s worth it. Thanks anyway for the swatches :).
