Have you done someone else's makeup before?

Definitely have! I have done makeup for a few friends but mostly family members for various special occasions over the years.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Not in any professional capacity but from when my daughter was 4 until she went away to college I did her and her teams makeup for all of their performances from dance to gymnastics. My daughter was on a competitive gymnastics team, a performance gymnastics team and her high school dance team. I was the only parent who had any interest in makeup so I got to do everyone’s makeup and hair before performances. It was fun when they were little and then as the level increased so did the pressure. She also took part in the annual Nutcracker Ballet with the Sacramento Ballet and I did her makeup for those performances also. I enjoyed the whole creative process.

I am asked here and there and I always decline – I did a friend’s makeup many years ago and she said, “Oh, I look like you”. She was right and it was all wrong for her skin, face shape, coloring.

Yes. Last year I did some makeup looks on a friend who was new to beauty, and taught her how to do them. I used to do my brothers’ Halloween and other costume makeup growing up, and now I do my both my sons’ and my husband’s. I did my BFF’s wedding makeup (that was 26 years ago). I used to do my mom’s and her friends’ from time to time, before they’d go out dancing (that was also a couple decades ago).

I’ve done makeup on a few friends and my mum, mainly just for fun. Although my mum & I did do the hair & makeup for my friend for her formal.

My mini-me! She has been dancing since she was 3 so she gets dramatic stage makeup for performances and we do makeovers on each other on lazy weekend afternoons. She has come a long way from those toddler attempts!
