We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! My favourite for last winter was Eau d’Iparie by l’Occitane. It smells of incense and churches but in a sexy way. If you like flowery, fruity and sweet things give it a miss. This is the complete opposite. It’s probably what the evil Queen from Snow White would smell of – or a bad Vampire;-)

Guerlain Shalimar and Chanel Coromandel (boutique exclusive) are my favorites for fall! I also tried Tom Ford’s Santal Blush recently. It was a very unique and captivating scent. I might have to get that one too.

One of my fall fragrances that I alway get compliments on is actually a cheap thrill. It’s the JLO Still, I find it very unique and I love it because it smells like a cup of tea. I have more expensive and refined scents, but I always come back to this one.

Also, I want to share with everyone that I went on on a perfume buying craze a couple years ago, ended up with me getting my collection over 70 designer bottles. I’ve been on a no-buy plan for a year and a half and have got my collection down to 45 or so. For ever 10 that I use up or give away I reward myself by buying just one new one. Is anyone else on a no buy? It’s hard to resist when there are so many new releases every month. That new Cartier is teasing me… 😛

Oh those pesky no-buys. We could get you closer to the Cartier, think you’ll find lots of temptalia readers willing to take excess perfumes off your hands! 😛

I’m as old-school as they come….I love pumpkin, especially if it’s got an edge of sweet spice, and I often wear your typical autumnal blend but I also enjoy smokier pure oils. I am also mad for anything that has a lot of apple to it, particularly if it’s a fresh-apple oil and not a synthetic or sugary candy-apple. Blend any of this with musk, dragon’s-blood or amber and I’m swooning. 😀

Autumn is when I start to wear perfumes in the woody family. By November, I’m moving into spicy and gourmand scents like Angel and Sensuous. I think woody/oriental fragrances are sexier than any other perfume category! (It’s the only thing I look forward to when the temperatures drop.)

I just wear what feels good year round. This Fall – Tom Ford Black Orchid, Bond. 9 West Side Story, Queen Latifa and Halle Berry-their first fragrances.

I wear Narciso Rodriguez For Her year-round, but this fall I’m switching to Narciso Rodriguez For Her Intense, just a little more musky than the other!

My favorite perfume of all time, Burberry Brit! This past summer I was trying to get through some of my lighter fragrances, but now that it’s getting cooler, I’m going to be giving Brit my undivided attention.

i actually like jessica simpson’s fancey- the original….i know alot of ppl don’t like it but i don’t know why! it spells so sweet and good! perfect for the hollidays! 🙂

Joelle Avatar

I enjoy Hermes Eau de Mereveilles all year round but lately I’ve been loving LUSH Vanillary. Donna Karan Black Cashmere is a cold weather favorite, so spicey!

Burberry Brit and Chloe are my new obsessions right now. Brit’s warm vanilla scent is so comforting when the weather turns cooler. Chloe is so ladylike and quiet, it reminds me of the overcast, drizzly days that autumn brings.

My favorite this fall is Kilian Back to Black. I have to say it was not love at first sight, but like a movie that starts slow but slowly draws you in, it left me wanting more every single time. I’ll be switching between that and my usual Issey Miyake Le Feu D’Issey Light.

Weekends with family I’ll go for Payard Pistachio Ganache (a new acquisition!) If you like gourmand scent this one is non-aggressive, and very fitting since it is issued by a patisseries…
