I really will only use glitter eyeliner if its Halloween, or if I’m going to a club/bar. I really don’t see any other venues that it doesn’t look/feel tacky.

For going out I quite like them, as long as they have enough glitter in them. My favourites are the classic gold and black/silver. I do skip the pinks though, since they remind me too much of my 13-year-old self on sleepover nights.

The worst part of glitter liners is the removal or lack there of. I can never get every bit of it off and end up looking like I just came back from a Kesha concert.

I LOVE Sephora’s liquid glitter eyeliner in gold. Its gel based and doesnt give off any type of color other than the glitter suspended on my lids! I love it so much that I often use it all over my eye for concerts and nights out. The best part about it is that the glitter doesnt travel all over my face and it comes off super easy.

I love using a pretty colored glitter liquid liner to make a smoky eye a little more special. (my fave is the NYX crystal one). But I hate how hard it is to get off- if I’m wearing fake lashes they get basically ruined.

I think they can be a cute, quirky touch, but it has to be the centerpiece of the eye. Too much shimmer elsewhere just making it overwhelming. A coworker of mine actually wears it all the time – it’s actually quite pretty on her. 🙂

I’ve been wearing the LA Splash glitter liner in Poison Ivy. It’s a deep green with sparse green and gold glitter. I put it on that very same day and have been wearing it daily. It’s actually really subtle & pretty. But washing it off is a total pain in the butt!

I love UD Heavy Metal eyeliners! I have never had fallout problems with them even without a primer.

I don’t wear it to class often, but anywhere else besides the gym I’ll wear it without second thought. Then again I often get mistaken for being younger than I am, so people probably don’t mention if it’s too much.

I just bought some Too Faced Metal-Eyed in Lucky (an emerald green) during their sale. I love it! It has a fine brush so it can be applied subtly or more dramatically. I’ve had no fallout (using Too Faced’s shadow insurance eyeshadow primer), & it comes off easily with eye makeup remover & a cotton pad.

i wanted a nice brown eyeliner and bought UD glide on in Bourbon. didn’t realize it has glitter on it. it looks great initially but all throughout the day i find lots of glitter on my face. now i do own one of there regular glitter liners and its just too opaque. i’d like a thicker line of color mixed with glitter to show.

I LOVE it. Urban Decay Heavy Metal is the best (I have never experience fallout with with these) but NYX is a good less expensive option. For increased opacity I recommend applying a black liquid eyeliner and placing the glitter liner on the outer edge, use about two coats and It will show up really well. I’m only 21 so I feel like I can get away with it, gold and silver are my go to colors and I always get compliments.

During my senior year in HS, I’m now a junior in college, I was crazy over glitter liners. I had 6 of the Urban Decay ones. I’d wear it ever single school day and got so many compliments. I still have 3 of my original ones, and did restock the multi-colored one called Spandex. I VERY, VERY rarely use them now, and when I do I only make a sheer line for a little extra “wow”. I must say I certain got my money’s worth of of them back in HS, but now my taste is a bit more refined and less flashy.

I LOVE the look of nuetral glitter eyeliners, like black, bronze navy & gold for everyday! they immediatly make your look. Im not a huge fan of bright colored ones though. My favorites are by Urban Decay and Two faced. The sephora brand and MAC ones burn my eyes terrribly! i had to give them away

I occasionally wear it at night, maybe if I’m wearing a top or dress with sequin embellishments.

And for all of you Australian ladies… Sportsgirl actually makes good and cheap glitter eyeliner.
They’re really opaque, go on with ease and are easy to remove (i.e. the glitter doesn’t go everywhere).

I just bought the new ones from the Estee Lauder Modern Mercury Fall 2011 set and they are very nice. i bought one of the new Stila waterproof glitter eyeliners as well (so my “glitter” collection consists of a ll neutrals..bronze, khaki/gold, graphite, black). I like the shimmer these liners bring to my eye, they seem to brighten up the area. My problem is that pointy sponge, I think I need more practice; I have curly lashes and have difficulty getting a nice line. Grrr! Any tips on working with the gel liners with sponge tips?

I have nothing to rant about. I haven’t had a problem, and I love glitter! The best liners are the Lise Watier, imho, with a UD’s heavy metals a close second =]

I love Wet ‘n’ Wild’s glitter liner from their Fantasy Makers line. It’s just a shame that it only comes in teal, silver, purple and gold AND that it only comes out once a year.

I also have glitter liner from Sephora and hate it because it burns my eyes. No idea what it is about Sephora’s glitter liners that does it but I have black glitter liner, teal, gold and white.

I love glitter eyeliner on top of a “regular” colored one. I always wear bold colorful eyeliner – teal, blue, navy, purple – to the office and every other day I add a flush of glitter on top. I have big defined almond shaped eyes and it suits me. I have a huge collection of eyeliners, and a growing one of glitter ones. So far NYX crystal is the best, especially in Jade.

Glitter eyeliner scares the crap out of me…I wear contacts so anything that gets in your eye hurts really badly. I’ve just gotten the courage to try putting regular liner on my lash line.

i just bought glitter eyeliner from HOT Topic! I love it 🙂 it has mini specks of glitter so if you are on the older side its not juvenile looking but still fun :)comes in black and fuschia
