Deborah Lippmann Get This Party Started Collection
Nothing says ‘Party’ like the magnetic sparkle of glitter. So for the biggest party season of the year, I’ve created shades that truly dazzle. Get This Party Started, a set of three glitters, was inspired by the overwhelming demand for my best selling Happy Birthday, a glittery party in a bottle. The set includes Happy Birthday, along with two new variations of the sparkling shade: Forget You and Candy Shop. They’re both packed with the same unique hexagon-shaped glitter that gives Happy Birthday its magnificent glint, only Forget You has a sheer black base and Candy Shop a bubblegum pink.
I love how festive all three look and feel, whether wrapped a round a champagne glass or peeping out of a glamorous pump. But what I truly love the most: how a few coats of any shade instantly transform you into the life of the party. — Deborah Lippmann
- Happy Birthday Party in a bottle (Glitter)
- Forget You Party all night (Glitter)
- Candy Shop Bubblegum pink (Glitter)
availability: Now available at lippmanncollection.com and Nordstrom.com, $42 for the set
I really liked to see swatches from this collection and the other you posted earlier, would be very thankful if you did 🙂
wow! that middle one reminds me of the biscuits…looks awesome too!
I’m loving Candy Shop!
Cute!
Candy Shop looks so much like fairy bread. Makes me want to lick it.
I LOVE glitter polish right now!
I know she’s known for her glitters, but I just can’t excited about them – especially not at $14/pop. And even if I could, I just don’t see why I’d need three different variations on the same theme.
I think I could have gotten more excited about it had they either mixed in a creme or a shimmer with the glitter (instead of 3 glitters) and/or
cut a few bucks off the price, especially since this was designed for the Nordstrom Friends and Family sale.
I’ve been wanting to try the brand, and had it been more reasonable I might have bitten. It worked for some of the other brands!
I have this and I’ll be honest, I don’t love the pink one. It’s just too milky, it makes the glitter look like it’s defective. Happy Birthday is always a huge hit, though, and the black one seems like it will be ok (I’ve only swatched it on some paper)
Thanks for confirming my fears about the pink one! I’d heard the same about the blue one which looked adorable in the bottle…but I just wish it wasn’t so darned sheer!!!
These look sooo….. awesome!!!! I love glitter
I picked these up during the anniversary sale and they are goooorgeous. So far I’ve only worn Forget You and it looked great for a few days. The only drawback here is that it was a RIDICULOUS pain to get off. I went through about 20 cotton balls!
LOL I hear ya! I bought them too during Nordies sale… I put Happy Birthday on one nail and it took like 10 cotton balls to get it off LOL! Now I have Candy Shop on my toes and did 2 coats… looks nice (thinking I need another coat though).
I really like Forget You!
I’d consider Forget You by itself but I don’t want a set of three that are so similar.
god I need this!
so expensive though, but so pretty
i love them! all of them. i love how u can actually see the glitter.
I shall pass. I have hard enough time spending 8 bucks on polish, let alone 14
I like the first 2 Happy Birthday Party In Bottle
& I like Forget You Party All Night if I were to buy any of them theses are the two I would buy but I don’t paint my nails at all I go nail saloon to have it done since I don’t do good job at painting
are these full size bottles?
Does anyone know when these will be available separately. Last year, she did a set of 3, and later they become available to buy separately.
The pink one is sooo cute in the bottle(like pink frosting with those little round sprinkles!), but on nails is just looks sloppy. Sad sad.
NO swatches???
If anyone’s looking for a dupe for Happy Birthday (the first pictured) check out OPI for Sephora’s Spark-tacular top coat. Prett darn close 🙂
Do you (or anyone) know why the new Happy Birthdays no longer have the little square glitters?? I bought a bottle a few weeks ago, and there were only hex shaped glitters.
This blog post also mentions that there was a change: http://liquidjelly.blogspot.com/2011/07/deborah-lippmann-get-this-party-started.html
Whyyy?? 🙁
These look really showy! I wonder if they look as spectacular on nails as they do in the bottle?
I bought the set during Nordies sale… I put Happy Birthday on two accent fingernails (it was my 30th b-day!!!) and it took like 10 cotton balls to get it off LOL! Now I have Candy Shop on my toes and did 2 coats… looks nice (thinking I need another coat though). The set is pretty if you like glitter, but not a MUST HAVE
I just bought this set from Nordstrom.com .. It was really AMAZING !! love it specially CANDY SHOP and happy birthday . Which means my least favorite is Forget you !
I am wearing Happy Birthday right now. The key is applying the polish properly so the glitter spreads evenly. It takes a bit longer but it looks so cute when it dries!
