I think I’m the only one who likes pots. Sure they arent’ easy to store, but they just seem easier to travel with — for me anyway. I love the little pots.

I do have a few quads (one self-made, two pre-made)though and love these as well.

Once again you are reading my mind…I’ve been considering breaking down and purchasing a palette or a couple empty quads lately because all of the pots are so freaking space-consuming and it’s getting to be a problem!! I love the pots though, I don’t know why. Ugghh. I know you have to get the empty palettes and quads at PRO, But do they sell the pan-only eyeshadows in regular MAC counters, or is it just PRO stores as well?

Freestanding stores carry refill pans and empty quads & 15-pan palettes. They carry palettes for and pans of blushes, too. Counters do not carry these things.

Hard to choose!! I was going to say individual but then I just remember how much I like my Chanel eye quads. Here ‘s the thing – I don’t like those HUGE palettes. You know, the ones that have like 10 colors. I like the smaller ones that are great for travel, etc, like the chanel ones.

I love my palettes! The bigger the better. 🙂 Seriously, I can’t be messing about with pots of eyeshadow. I own some (not MAC), but palettes are a lot easier in my opinion. But as they say, everyone to their own…

My shadows are in 15 pan palettes and I take the 4 pans with me when I travel. If I had the space, I would like to think that I’d keep them in their pots, but then again there’s B2M…..lol.

I prefer my eyeshadows in the pots, I even keep them in the boxes too, I’m picky about that. I do have the Royal Assets Cool Eyes palette though and I plan on getting more

Anna Avatar

hey i keep my eyeshadows in the pots IN the boxes too! it’s kinda dumb since i always have to put it back into the box, and take it out again. but i don’t know why, it just became a habit. heh

I prefer the palettes because they are just so easy to travel with and take less storage. I like the quads and some of the MAC holiday palettes because they are good for a weekend away when I don’t want to carry a lot with me, and the colors usually coordinate pretty well.

I prefer palettes so I can lay out all my colours in front of me when deciding what to wear. The only exception is when they are in limited edition packaging. However I’ve been thinking about depotting those as well seeing as to how my Neo SciFi shadows sit, hardly used, because I always forget them.

As far as MAC is concerned, I prefer to buy the pans for the 15 slot palettes or quads. They’re just more practical for me, both in terms of storage and travel. 15 pots take up an awful lot of space! I also like that I can see more selection while I’m putting a look together, I definitely use more variety now since it’s all right there.

Not only that, the pans are less expensive and there is less waste. I think the incentive of now being able to B2M pro-pans is great.

I do miss looking at all my lovely pots though, they’re cute. 😉

I love the way all my little pots look in my train case! They also feel more ‘special’ for some reason when I see them like that. Haa haa haa…

Palettes also are amazing because you can put a whole color fmaily or colors that go well together in one 15-pan palette and it’s easy to see and use quickly.
